So there's these two new K-Rino represses that I found at a retail store in Houston. I want to buy them! I do not have any represses of the mentioned albums so they would be my first represses :yeah:

A) The owner of the store is an asshole. Has kicked me out of his store twice now (got kicked out last week.)
B) The store is selling them for $19.99/each! $20 for a K-Rino CD? That's higher priced than the store Soundwaves in Houston (Soundwaves usually sells them for like $14.99 or something.) Pretty sure Bigtyme Recordz sells K-Rino albums for $10, and I get mine from K at $10 as well. So I'm paying double what I typically spend on a K album.

It would be cool to buy them so I can add to my collection. Just don't want to spend $40 for two CDs that I already own. I also don't want to support an asshole.

:mauer:

How can you get kicked out of a retail store? :zahn:

:haha:

First time was racial in my opinion. He's an older black man, probably 60 years old. The store is in "the ghetto." So as a small white guy entering a hood rap store had him very suspicious of me. While I was browsing music, every 5 minutes he would ask me "What are you looking for young man!?!" (I was browsing music! lol ) Told him I like rap music from the Southside of Houston and coninuted browsing music. After some time he asked me to leave! Said something like "Look, if you're not going to buy anything, I'm going to have you to leave." He shouted at me, scooted me to the door. I think I argued with him back. Was like "Look man, I'm browsing for music, that's what you do in a music store!"

Maybe he thought I was the law, looking for bootleg mixtapes.

This past week, I asked him to open the K-Rino CD so I can varify if it was a re-issue before I buy it. I said something like "If this is a re-issue I'll buy it." So he knew there was a chance I might not buy it if it was an original release. Turns out it was an re-issue so I wanted to buy it. I come to pay and he doesn't accept credit cards, cash only. He spews his mouth, talking trash "Look man, I opened this for you. Don't give me none of this bullshit about credit cards. We accept cash." He threw me out saying "good bye now, good bye." I would talk back with him and he would say "good bye now, good bye."

:stupid:

I don't typically get wild-up but when people "throw me out."..
I had the money, I was about to pay via a credit card.
So.. I could go back with cash in-hand and purchase the CDs..

Dude needs to pay the $5 - $10/month fee and open a credit card service for his shop.

Getting pushed around by an old man... I can't help it but ... this sounds demeaning to me. Just joking :hehe:

Seems like this guy will never own a record store outside of "the ghetto" - for a good reason. :king2:

Over here, one of the last remaining record stores is run by a bunch of misfits from the fringe of society. I honestly don't know how they can make a living... they're like five to ten people, always standing around, pointlessly carrying around cartons, chatting and stroking old Rolling Stones vinyl records. Luckily they don't know shit about rap music, that helped me a lot in the past. At least they accept credit cards :pssst:

Btw I have to ask you something, check your PM in a second

sounds a little bit like the famous first scene from "menace II society" :D the only differences are, that it's a retail store, not a liquor store and that you are white not black. oh wait, i forgot... and you did not shoot the owner.
:king2:

FUUUU :mauer:

I wasn't organized when I went to the framing store this week. Damnit! :uglyno:

All of Wash's posters are the same size. I get them framed identical so they all match. Same size poster = same framing.

Here's my collection (aside from the new one.) They are all framed identical.

New frame that costs $30 USD

Comparison :bonk:
Bild

Since I've been a loyal customer to them, spent hundreds, I wonder if I can return and only pay the difference for the size of the frame/matt. If I can't return, thinking about charging it to the game and paying $30 for another frame job :mauer:

I can't have different sized frames! They all need to be identical (see above, my collection.)

Damnit.. Need to drink some beer and get zooted lol :weizenbier:

Edit: Just took a picture of all the same-sized posters (extra copies.)
Bild
There is no reason for my newest frame to be a different size. Gotta get it re-framed.

Confused by some retail copies of K-Rino albums. There's a unique barcode that's on the inside of case, affixed to the back cover? The re-issues that I was speaking about a few weeks ago are also like this. I can either assume two things. 1) All distrubition copies come this way 2)They are re-issues and this extra sticker is to identify/cover up the original release information.

I get my albums direct so I don't go through the normal distrubition-to-stores route.

Here's an image of what I'm speaking about.
Deeper Elevation, the BBI barcode to the right. The left barcode is something else, the store barcode?
Bild

That's probably a re-issue! I want it, I want it! :yeah:
Should have taken a picture of my original for reference. I can do it later

Maybe contact Bigtyme Recordz? Perhaps Russel could ship it for you. Or better yet, contact Cl Che herself?

I haven't listened to it. I don't support her, she's a mean person. She might be nice to others, but she's not friendly with me :notsure:

Yes I know, but I think its a little bit funny... Because she dont like or maybe know you you dont support her - its nothing I can understand - but your thing...

However, yes, if I can spend a little bit more money than currently I will ask her about the missing Albums. At the onlineshop of bigtyme there is no CD available, but I could ask them - but its good to know that there are CDs - so - thanks for that! :)

K-Rino's latest release isn't listed on his discogs.com page yet. I want to add it but I've never contributed or made an official release page on discogs.com before. I don't want to do it the noobie way and do it the wrong way

Here's his discogs.com page
http://www.discogs.com/artist/K-Rino

Mr. Puddah or Don$P, could you guys do it? Maybe I'll tinker around this weekend and see if I can do it correctly. If you guys need any additional information regarding his latest release, The Maven, I can give it to you no problem :adios:
