Kaum zu glauben, aber wohl wahr. Glaubt man Mtv USA dann arbeitet die Junior M.A.F.I.A. (~ Junior Masters at Finding Intelligent Attitudes) fleissig an ihrem zweiten Album, welches schon bereits in diesem Frühjahr erscheinen soll. Titel der LP wird nach derzeitgem Informationsstand "Riot Music" sein. Eine Single mit dem Titel "Just Us" gibt es auch schon, sowie das dazugehörige Video, welches schon abgedreht wurde.

Es ist das erste offizielle Lebenszeichen der Crew seit dem Split mit P Diddy und dem tragischen Tod von Christopher Wallace alias The Notorious B.I.G.

Für die Produktion des Albums war unter anderem Sha Money XL verantwortlich. Zu den Gästen zählen unter anderem Mobb Deep's Prodigy und Jadakiss. Sobald es hierzu genauere Details gibt, erfahrt ihr es hier.

The Notorious B.I.G. is regarded by many as the greatest rapper to ever pick-up the M-I-C. Big's effortless flow and overall knack for creating classic records has influenced an entire generation of rappers, but none more than Brooklyn's Junior Mafia. Back in '95 Biggie hand-picked the nine-member crew which once boasted Queen Bee Lil' Kim; together they crafted such hits as "Player's Anthem" and "Get Money"; making Junior Mafia hip-hop's first family. Now with Big providing spiritual guidance rather than leading in the physical form, Junior Mafia members Lil' Cease, Banger (formerly Larceny) and Klepto will carry the legendary Brooklyn crew to new heights with the release of their fiery sophomore album "Riot Music" on Mega Media Records.

"Riot Music"blends JM tradition with an updated sound that still makes the group just as relevant today as they were 10 years ago. The album features numerous rap icons such as Beanie Siegel, Memphis Bleek, Jadakiss and Prodigy of Mobb Deep and of course The Notorious B.I.G.

Even though JM has a more modern sound, do not think for a second that they are willing to follow the trends that others have set. On the contrary, Junior Mafia has always been and will always be setting the trends for the entire hip-hop community to live off of. Junior Mafia started the basketball jersey fashion craze as well as the era of button-ups and blazers back in '95. JM was also the first rap family to spotlight a lone female emcee. "All these rappers coming up now, they learned from us," says Bang, "I can't see us tryin' to fit in when everybody is just now doing what we did," he adds.

"A lot of people love Junior Mafia, the history and the roots are deep," the crew says and the album's first single, the adrenaline-pumping "Just Us", produced by the Heatmakers (Cam'Ron, Lil' Flip) is a definite return to grace.

It is Lil' Cease who sums up the group's phenomenon best when he explains, "Junior Mafia is a brand name, that's a name that will never go away, like with Ralph Lauren it will always be Polo." Ladies and gentlemen welcome to the realm of Junior Mafia.
