Das Ding soll endlich mal auf CD kommen, war ja schon mehrfach angekündigt...

Von einer CD ist aktuell nicht mehr die Rede, hab jedenfalls auf die Schnelle keine neuen Infos gefunden und ein Release Date schon gar nicht

Ne, ist auch derzeit nicht absehbar. Auf meine Nachfrage zu einer CD Version bei 16 F Music haben die folgendes Statement veröffentlicht:



Keine Ahnung warum jetzt schon eine Tape-Version einer CD-Version vorgezogen wird...

Steht wohl im Zusammenhang mit diesem kleinen Tape-Revival dass es seit einiger Zeit gibt...

Halte auch nichts davon, aber das haben wir ja schon mal andiskutiert...

Ja, ich weiß, aber mich regt das schon auf. Der Verbreitungsgrad des CD-Spielers dürfte immer noch deutlich höher sein als der eines Tape-Decks. Ich habe zwar auch noch eins, aber anders als bei Schallplattenspielern werden Tape-Decks meiner Wahrnehmung nach doch fast gar nicht mehr bis gar nicht mehr produziert und verkauft, oder gibt es da auch schon wieder einen Nischenmarkt von dem ich noch nichts mitbekommen habe?

Es gibt für alles einen Nischenmarkt...

Als Tonträger sind Tapes natürlich minderwertig, aber die Dinger bedienen halt ein gewisses Nostalgiebedürfnis... da stellt sich die Frage nach Sinn und Unsinn von 2014er-Tape-Onlys dann irgendwann nicht mehr

Schon klar, aber warum ich gerade die alten Daten für das ja nur letztes Jahr digital veröffentlichte Bee Why Album neu mastern lasse um es dann primär auf Tape wiederzuveröffentlichen, erschließt sich mir dann auch nicht. Na ja, vielleicht kommt es ja auf CD ... irgendwann ....
