UG Rap Community

Nach seinem Solodebüt "Force Fed" (2007), arbeitet der aus Brooklyn, New York stammende Rapper IDE, Mitglied und Mastermind des Rap-Kollektivs der Creative Juices, zusammen mit dem schwedischen DJ Connect an einem gemeinsamen Kollaboalbum namens "Ideology". Erscheinen soll das Projekt spätestens im April 2009 über das Hauseigene Label Creative Juices Music.

Gastauftritte wurden bereits von Ill Bill, Alucard, UG, Outsidaz, L.I.F.E. Long, Block Mcloud, Maylay Sparks, Jise1 (Arsonists) und Critical angekündigt. Produziert wurde der Longplayer natürlich komplett von DJ Connect selbst, der sich somit maßgeblich für den rohen Mix aus Hardcore-Rap und düsteren Beats verantwortlich zeigt. DJ Connect selbst erklärte auf seiner MySpace-Seite:

"Hardcore rap and dark beats in a raw mix you never heard before.. i promise you. [...] Yo Ide, they will understand!!! if not! then we gonna force fed them once more!!! this is like the dawn of the dead. when there is no more room in hell, the dead will walk the earth! but we gonna make them listen to someshit first!!! peace"

Auf der MySpace-Seite von DJ Connect können bereits die Tracks "What's The Fuck Up With IDE", "Path Of Least Resisstance" und "Endurance" mit UG, L.I.F.E. Long, Jise und Critical angehört werden. Den Werbeflyer zum Album findet ihr in der Diskussion.

Yea! So we are trying get the new album out text book style dealing with labels and distributors. The good news is, that could lead to the album getting a push on a larger scale. Bad news, the release date is out of our hands.
However we said we were going to have something out by next month and we will. Me and Connect are putting together and mixtape/street album. Nearly all original material, basically a album in itself. With production from Connect, Nemo, White Shadow, Hitfarmers, Caique, Kryptonite, EVB, Al'Tarba, DJ Muggs, Will Taubin, IDE, Ben Boogz, DJ Priority and more. With cameos from Alucard UG, Jise, Planetary (Outerspace./AOTP) Critical, Relz, Life Long. Over 20 track of redicualous material. Something to rock until "Ideology" is out. IDE and DJ Connect

Davon hat er im Interview noch nichts gesagt, vielleicht hat Babygrande bei denen angerufen...

Wie auf den meisten Songs fällt es Dougie auch hier schwer seine Aussagen in stilvolle Worte zu kleiden, auffällig inflationär tauchen die Worte "Niggaz" und "Bitches" auf. Wer damit Schwierigkeiten hat, der wird wahrscheinlich überhaupt keinen Zugang zu diesem Longplayer finden.

Album Updates

Alucard "Watch Them Fall" is getting officialy pressed by popular demand. We sold out the first batch and are now pressing retail ready copies. We are replacing 5 songs, plus adding a whole new art layout. This version will not be blended in anyway, and will have some new features. We are aiming to have this out by late March, early April.

While IDE and Dj Connect sort out the new moves for Ideology they wanted to get something out to hold evryone over. They are aiming to have "Table of Content" out by late March. The new street album "Table Of Content" with all original, unreleased tracks blended by Elite Fleets Dj Create. This album will be available online and will be a limited 500 cds pressed (official press not slim line). With features on the mic Planetary (AOTP/Outerspace), Many Styles, Critical, Alucard,and more.

New Projects in the Works

IDE and Skavenger 2 producers from different coasts team up with a wide variety of emcees from around the country. Their completely different styles make for a distinctive sound and flavor. Skavenger, one of the members of the Destruments comes with some extremely melodic soulful tracks, with live bass, organs and synth, while Ide has a variety of classic aggressive boom bap. The album features appearances from: Steele (Smiff and Wessun), Casual, UG (Cella Dwellas), Shabaam Sahdeeq, Respect the God (Perverted Monks), Breez Evahflowin, Many Styles, Little Vic, Loud, Life Long, J2, Alucard, Critical, IDE, Yah Yah and many more. This album should be available in the next 2 months.

UG Front man from the legendary group the Cella Dwellas is at it again. With UG's vivid imagery, flawless flow, and Ide's chopped and layered production style this album is a Monster! It will be like nothing heard before. A true audio-visual adventure, that embarks on a journey through the realms of imagination, mysticism, space, and the streets of NYC. With 8 tracks finished and a few forming, this project should be finished in no time.

Jise is working on his new solo album. With a handful of tracks recorded, and a direction setting its path. This album is surely going to blow heads away. Jise is picking some of the best beats around, and lacing them with crazy word play, deep meaning, and over all flavor and creativity. With production from: Dj Connect, Q- Unique, White Shadow, Scotty B, IDE, and more.

Life Long and IDE have decided to team up to work on Life Long's new LP. The project will be dark, with underlying religious themes. There are about 3 joints recorded and a few more in the making. This will prob be out late 2009, or 2010.

Slumlords Ide and Alucard finally team up to lay down an album. Teamed up with Will Taubin, they form "SlumLords". Take a trip to Brooklyn where Slum Lords take shit real estate and make it worth something. We are raising the rent this year. "We move in, you move out".

Critical and Tzar team up for a new EP "Close to Home". With a few tracks already recorded this should be a great follow up to Medical Records.
