also ich habe jetzt nur die 12 Track Version und muß sagen, kein Plan, wohin ich das Album stecken soll..Nach dem ersten Hören würde ich es vielleicht bei 4,5-5 von 10 einstufen.......ist mir auch leicht zu modern...die Handschrift von Scarface fehlt mir irgendwie......allein zwei Tracks haben mir auf Anhieb gefallen..the suicide note und burn und dollar konnte ich mir halbwegs geben, mit dem Rest konnte ich mich nicht anfreunden bzw. vielleicht werd ichs noch, was ich aber sehr bezweifle.
Berichte aber nochmal, sobald die Bonus-Edition eingtroffen ist.

SCARFACE STARS IN A MOVIE!

Not only does he have a new CD, MADE, but he’s also stepping into the movie world. From what I understand, Scarface is going to appear in a new film. The film is called Devil's Candy and he’s in there with a fly chick! If I am not mistaken, he recently wrapped up shooting this month and it should be completely finished in the first quarter of 2008. I don’t know anybody else on there, but that’s what up.

Scarface Prepping New Album

Southern Hip-Hop icons, the Geto Boys are reuniting tonight (July 4) in Houston for what will be the trio’s first live performance in at least three years.

Scarface, Willie D and Bushwick Bill will all be in the building, performing the group’s classics as well as some new material.

Though the three haven’t been buzzed about for a while as a click, group honcho Scarface has been keeping busy with a solo career. Face just came off tour for his Made album and is currently in the studio putting together his next release, Redemption, which is slated for a late August release...
The group made its debut in 1988 with 5th Ward Chronicles: Making Trouble, but didn’t garner much national attention until their third release We Can’t be Stopped. One of the album’s singles, “Mind Playin Tricks On Me,” peaked at No. 5 on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts.

Tomorrow’s concert will also feature Huntzville, Shaka, Tay Tha Don and Juzcoz and will be emceed by Terry Grossman. The show will be held at Warehouse, 813 St. Emanuel St, with no age limit to get in. Doors open at 8 p.m. and tickets go for $25 to $50 and are available through Ticketmaster.

Hab ich gelesen

Die Tracklist scheint aber irgendwie nicht zu stimmen, P-Maan.
Auf der MySpace Seite von denen läuft im Player ein Track namens DO IT LIKE I DONE IT. Und der muss wohl auf'm Album sein. So stehts zumindest da. Und 'n Face-Feature fehlt auch völlig. Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass da letztendlich noch 'ne korrigierte Tracklist kommt.

Ich hoffe nur, dass das ganze Album nicht so ist, wie der Track befürchten lässt.
Face' sein letzter "presents"-Release THE PRODUCT ONE HUNID war ja ganz nett, aber auch nicht sooooo die Bombe.

Bin also einigermaßen gespannt.

Album hört sich beim ersten durchskippen nicht unsolide an. DOPE GAME ft. SCARFACE sticht aber klar hervor, wenn ihr mich fragt. Wenn ich nur wüsste, woher ich den Beat kenne. Den kennt ihr auch. Hunnert pro...Woher kenn ich den, verdammich...

Scarface To Retire From Rap For Good?

Scarface’s Made, the southern lyricist’s seventh official solo album, almost never came out. Nearly two years ago, Face told SOHH he was quitting rap. He obviously didn’t. One album later, Face is singing a familiar tune, or is he?
“This is it for me,” Face told XXLMag.com. “That should end it right here. I ain’t making it my last album. I’m moving on to some different shit. It ain’t my last album that I’m gonna be a part of. You never know what’s next for me. I might go into making one of them rock bands.”

“Scarface, Emeritus, man,” he continued. “I’m always gonna be a part of the industry. I may just not be a part of the music industry as Scarface. Maybe, I don’t know. I ain’t saying nothing...”




Coincidentally, emeritus means retired with honor. Still, when queried about his next album being his last Scarface solo release, the Houston MC refused to elaborate.

“I’m not gonna say that,” he replied. “I’m gonna say Scarface, Emeritus. As time goes on, you will understand it.”

A date has yet-to-be set for Emeritus. As Face puts the finishing touches on the CD, he’s also promoting heregomydemo.com, a new site he recently launched to help up-and-coming artists put their music out.

“Every time I’m out on the road, everywhere I go, somebody got a demo for me,” Face explained. “Somebody’s gonna get caught without their music somewhere. It’s not myspace, youtube or iTunes, it’s all creative motherfuckers in one, man. You can post your own shit. You can sell your shit. You can audition musicians. You can audition singers. You wanna buy an MPC, you got pro tools for sale, there’s a classified section for shit like that.”
