5th Ward Juvenilez aka Git Mo Clik...
Fresh, new, and blazing from the streets of 5th Ward Houston, TX are two veteran professional recording artists who make up the group, Git Mo’ Clik. Made up of the members, Supreme and Daddy-Lo’ a.k.a. Lil’-Lostah, this sure fire hit-making rap group is destined to become the greatest discovery out of Texas since oil. World – we’ve finally got some new sounds out of H-Town!!
Though this may be your first time hearing of Git Mo’ Clik, these guys have significant history in the industry, especially in the realm of helping to shape and create H-Town in the rap industry. Their careers began before they were even teenagers back in 1993. They released an album titled Deadly Groundz in 1995 which debuted at #28 on the Billboard charts. The album included the hit single “G-Groove” which was reviewed by Source magazine as the song of the summer. Since the 5th Ward Juvenilez, the two have encountered many endeavors both collectively and individually within the music industry. From producing tracks for various artists such as Lil’ Flip (album: I NEED MINE $$) to featuring and collaborating with members of the 5th Ward Boyz, you’ll find that these guys’ track record more than separates them from your typical new boot.
With their minds aligned, they team up to create and present their new release of 2007/08 titled Git Mo’ which also features the renowned trailblazing hit single Git Mo’. Git Mo’, is released through their newly formed and rising independent entertainment label, SoundLikeMoneyEnt. (pronounced: Sound Like Money Entertainment). Their sound is most impressive and very distinctive from all other artists. Originality would be an understatement when it comes to their style and delivery, and there has yet to be a word to describe the authentic original production laid by Supreme himself. Voices become instruments to blend with hypnotic, mind intriguing, soulful rhythms with a strong dose of hardcore reality and fun. Git Mo’ also features production as well as guest appearances by David Duke and features from Reign, Yung Coley, Terrantino, A-FAM/AZIZ Clothing, Big Woddie, Ms. Niece, Q da Hustla, Bumbino a.k.a. Durty Mack, and Tamisha a.k.a. Sexy T.
Once you hear these guys, you’re going to ask yourself, “Where do they get it from?” The answer would be no one, but they do have many influences in music which considerably ranges from George Clinton, Quincy Jones, Stanley Clarke, Steely Dan, 5th Ward Boyz, Outkast, U.G.K., Snoop Dogg, 2 Pac, Nas and so on. Pretty unique ain’t it? Supreme, who was born in North Carolina, and Daddy-Lo’, born in Houston, were practically raised together in the well renowned 5th Ward. This is the hood that’s responsible for the first rapper to ever be released from Houston, Raheem. It’s also responsible for other successes such as the platinum selling Geto Boyz, 5th Ward Boyz, Wine-O, Money Black, etc.
It’s clearly evident that Git Mo’ Clik is soon to stamp their mark on the industry and the world. Their motivational slogan (Git Mo’) keeps them on the hunt for new endeavors. Along with their label SoundLikeMoneyEnt., Supreme also runs his production company, Supreme Beatz. Longevity is what this duo desires and with the ambition, diligence, and determination that these guys exercise they are bound to become legends.
