ist richtig cooler tracc, finde ich. ich hoffs ebenfalls, dass album in sonem perversen stil bleibt. irgendwelche effects und instrumente in vate kommen mir ähnlich vor wie bei älteren sachen von snoop.

On his new album, the Blue Carpet Treatment, Snoop takes it back to the streets and shows plenty of West Coast unity...




In the midst of serious violence on the Left coast between Blacks and Latinos, Snoop shows solidarity by bringing in Cypress Hill’s frontman B-Real on the track, “Vato.” The term “Vato” is Mexican slang for homie or homeboy. The song also features a guest appearance and production from Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes.


Snoop also brought in The Game for a special cut entitled, “Gang Banging 101.” Snoop, who is a well-publicized member of the Crips and Game (a Blood), take turns exclaiming each respective gang’s street call on the hook. “Gang Banging 101” also marks the debut of Niggaracci, Snoop’s new alias.


Snoop also shows love to the ever growing Hyphy movement, as he collaborates with E-40 and producer Rick Rock on a song called, “Candy.” The song also features West Coast veteran rappers like Daz and Kurupt, MC Eiht and Goldie Loc of the Eastsidaz.


Later on the album, super producer Timbaland concocts a dark resounding beat for Snoop on, “L.A. Zoo” and R. Kelly croons on the hook to, “That’s That Sh*t.”


Keeping up with the tradition of having an ultra smooth cut with Pharrell for the ladies on his album, Snoop has Skateboard P and songbird Brandy exchanging lines on, “So Special.” Brandy asks Pharrell to tell her how special she is and P lets her know, while Snoop spits charming lines like, “To me, I see you as a gift.”


The Blue Carpet Treatment, which is due in stores in October, also features a guest appearance by the legendary Stevie Wonder on a remake of a song called, “Have a Talk With God.” The song was recorded a year ago when Wonder brought all his producing equipment into the studio to make the song with Snoop. The album may feature production from Snoop’s longtime collaborator Dr. Dre, as the two men got in the studio last month.


Following the October release of Blue Carpet Treatment, Snoop is scheduled to release The Adventures of The Blue Carpet Treatment animated DVD in November and a new full-length album/soundtrack for his movie A Woman’s Touch in February.


The DVD is scheduled to feature 10 animated videos for new songs and cuts from Snoop’s album. A snippet of the animated video for a cut called, “Getting Heavy,” shows a cartoon Snoop in a wild adventure with scantily-clad women in thongs of all kinds. Snoop may even bring his wild adventures to the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.
“It all goes back to ‘85/I started getting pu**y everyday of my life,” Snoop boasts on “Getting Heavy.”


A Woman’s Touch starring Snoop, has the rapper juggling relationships with many different women.


According to a rep for Snoop, the West Coast MC reportedly records 300 songs for each album, before narrowing it down to about 16.


There have been earlier reports that Snoop may even collaborate with Janet Jackson for the album.

Das EMI-Blackwood Label hat letzte Woche Rapper Calvin Broadus aka Snoop Dogg verklagt, weil dieser versuchte seinen Vier-Album-Deal aufzulösen. Laut der New York Daily News reichte Snoop letzten Monat in Los Angeles selbst Klage gegen EMI ein: Nach einem kalifornischen Gesetz würde sich der Vertrag mit EMI angeblich nach sieben Jahren selbst auflösen.

EMI antwortete schließlich mit einer Gegen-Klage in Manhatten: Der Vertrag wurde damals in New York unterschrieben und deswegen gelte auch nur das Gesetz dieses Bundesstaates. Snoop veröffentlichte über EMI die beiden Alben "Da Game Is To Be Sold Not To Be Told" und "Top Dogg", zwei weitere ist er dem Label also noch "schuldig". Von beiden Seiten gab es bis jetzt noch keine offizielle Stellungnahme.

Zur Zeit arbeitet Snoop an seinem inzwischen achten Solo-Album namens "Blue Carpet Treatment". Der Longplayer wird unter anderem Warren G, R.Kelly, Pharrell, Timbaland, will.i.am, Ne-Yo, Akon und Stevie Wonder featuren und voraussichtlich im Herbst diesen Jahres über Interscope (Universal) erscheinen.

Außerdem arbeitet der Rapper an einem Animationsfilm zu "Blue Carpet Treatment" und an einem weiteren Film mit dem "A Woman's Touch".

Snoop Dogg Planning West Coast Dominance, Introducing New Unified Groups Of West Coast Talent

While the South is currently dominating Hip-Hop, West Coast rap icon Snoop Dogg is confident that his beloved region is ready to reclaim its top spot.


With his new solo album Blue Carpet Treatment, due in October, the Long Beach, Calif., rapper hopes to restore the West's dominion.


"I hate losing. I'm a sore loser," Snoop told AllHipHop.com. "That's why when the West Coast was losing, I had to come step the game up so we could get back in the game. We just want to get noticed one more time and then once you notice us and start to hear us, then you'll start to feel us."


Although the West has been unusually silent in the rap scene the past few years, Snoop sees recent activity as a sign of change.


"Ice Cube's album is out doing tremendous things right now and E-40's record came out bangin'," the lyricist noted. "Keak Da Sneak did his thing, my n***as Tha Dogg Pound just came out [and] they s**t smoking. Everybody's gearing up for my new record so it's coming back around. The Waist Deep movie just came out, which is West Coast s**t. So it's like the movement is coming back full circle. It's got to come back home."


To further capitalize on the West's momentum, Snoop is developing two new groups in an effort to present a united front.

Western Union is comprised of artists from Los Angeles, Inglewood, Long Beach, and Watts, while the War Zone is based in Compton, Long Beach, and Watts.


The new factions include artists such as Supafly, Bad Luck, MC Eiht, Kam, Goldie Loc, and Lady of Rage.


"My thing is trying to build the West Coast up by putting n***as together and formulating groups so we can learn how to group up as opposed to putting n***as out individually," said Snoop. "I figured if we do groups and then one member shines, then we can push him solo. Put the group first and that way everybody eats."


Never one to shun controversy, Snoop expressed discontent at artists from other regions who take advantage of the West's dormant state.


"I'm fin to put a stop to all that s**t," he said. "All you motherf**kin' suckers that ain't from the West Coast, n***a, your pass has been revoked. Time out. We need our b***hes back, we need our lowriders back, n***a. We need all that back n***a -- with interest. We don't need y'all comin' out here wastin' time shooting our videos in our hood and then by the time we want to shoot, it look like some s**t we stole from y'all. Get the f**k out of here.


"They know not to confront me and I wish one of them would," Snoop continued. "I'm talking to every last one of you n***as. Straight from the Dogg's mouth. All that doing videos and s**t out here n***a without checking in with Snoop Dogg is over with."


But Snoop said his frustration goes deeper than artists using the West as a background for videos. The rapper also feels that people on his coast are being overlooked for possible employment opportunities.


"A lot of these n***as just come out here using us, and not using us. If you gonna come to the West, start using some of these n***as and give them jobs," said Snoop. "I can't come to your town and shoot a video without hiring some of your people and checking in with the right folks and what not. I'mma get ran up out there. Come on man. Show some love."


Snoop Dogg's Blue Carpet Treatment hits stores October 18.

Face mal im Ernst... flaubst du wirklich Snoop macht Songs mit all diesen zur Zeit sehr bekannten Leuten und verwendet sie dann doch nicht für sein Album?

kein Plan, Erwartungen habe ich auch keine.....Habe mir auch kein Album mehr von ihm seit The Last Meal gekauft. Ich warts einfach mal ab.

Ja ok, da sind wir halt wieder anderer Meinung, ich fand "Paid Tha Cost..." war sein zweitbestes. Aber R&G war größtenteils Schund³ und deswegten hab ich eben Angst davor dass Snoop jetzt endgültig all seinen Bonus bei mir verspielt, indem er erst so ein Interview macht und dann auf seinem Album davon nix zu sehen außer vielleicht auf 2-3 Tracks. Der Kerl scheint mir ziemlich oft seine Meinung zu wechseln. Aber abwarte, haste Recht. Erwartungen habe ich immer bei Snoop!

wie viele songs mit solchen leuten hat snoop denn schon gemacht die nie auf alben gekommen sind? ich glaub snoop kann sich das leisten. naja abwarten, so voll wie er den mund genommen hat kann er es sich jedenfalls eigentlich garnichmehr erlauben leute wie brandy, akon usw aufs album zu lassen und dafür weniger westcoastrapper zu featuren

As always when a new Snoop Dogg album is on the way, advance songs and previews are getting leaked to the internet. The single "Vato" is picking up airplay, whereas the street track "Real Talk" recieved great feedback from the Hip-Hop heads.

The latest song we get to hear is called "My Peoples" and is a dedication to the West Coast. Snoop sounds sharp on this one, spitting a freestyle flow, shouting out a lot of West Coast artists in the songs, from the gangsta rappers, Hip-Hoppers, black, latino, he covers all areas.
