Auch von mir noch einen etwas mehr als 2 Wochen verspäteten Geburtstagsgruß, aber dafür habe ich nochwas für dich als großen Anhänger des Aceyalone Albums "A Book of Human Language":

Producer Mumbles Breaks 10-Year Silence With "Transformations/Illuminations" LP For Sound In Color
Sound In Color (SIC) will release Mumbles' Transformations/Illuminations album nationwide on 8/28/07 through Koch Entertainment. This new recording marks Mumbles' return to music after nearly a 10-year hiatus. In 1998, Mumbles handled all the production duties on a collaborative album with legendary MC, Aceyalone, and the result was the widely acclaimed hip hop classic, A Book of Human Language. Now, after spending much of the past decade on a spiritual journey, Mumbles is back with an intense and highly personal album, filled with lush arrangements, solid production, and the classic boom-bap.
Aptly titled, Transformations/Illuminations masterfully blends eastern and western music with the classic hip hop style that Mumbles helped define during the nineties. Transformations/Illuminations is comprised of outstanding collaborations with noteworthy MCs, singers, and musicians, including: Aceyalone, Cut Chemist, Blu, The Fowler Brothers, DJ Marvski, Flora Purim, Tracy McMillan, Kamau Daaood, Luther Russell, Rebecca Klinemann, and Shanti Shivani.
During his intermission from recording, Mumbles turned his interests toward Hinduism and embarked upon a path of spiritual enlightenment. Initiated by the great humanitarian, Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Mumbles has spent much of the past decade in contemplation, devotion, study, travel, and meditation. This experience broadened the musical landscape, and merged his sense of the sacred with his deep love of hip hop and jazz. Upon returning from his pilgrimage to India, Mumbles began work on the album now known as Transformations/Illuminations for Sound in Color, already considered to be a future classic by those lucky enough to have had an advance listen.
Los Angeles, CA based label Sound in Color has gained International recognition for its forward thinking music, creative collaborations, and beautiful artwork. With releases from the likes of Steve Spacek, Sa-Ra, Ghostface, Fishbone, Daz-I-Kue and many others, the label has generated a legion of fans waiting for the next SIC gems. (Press Release)
