hier neues interview mit ihm

Exclusive ILLHILL.com BG Knocc Out Interview
Interview by Ali - June, 2006

Ever since being introduced by Eazy-E on "Real Muthaphukkin' G's,"
drama seems to be following BG Knocc Out. The rapper, incarcerated
in the Soledad State Prison speaks on Eazy, the fight footage on
the Beef DVD, becoming a Muslim and preparing for release...

(ILLHILL.com)
Where did you grow up and what was it like?

(BG Knocc Out)
I grew up in neighbouring cities, Compton & Watts.
Both are small places but unique in character.
Growing up there was fun. Poverty abounded but we
made the best of what we had.
The gang life and drug culture was the only thing
we knew. Thus the majority of us who are raised
there naturally take part in the lifestyle.

(ILLHILL.com)
How did you get into rapping?

(BG Knocc Out)
I got into the rap culture by listening to Eazy E's
"Boyz 'N The Hood." I couldn't believe what I was
hearing at first. Then to know that he was from my
city bolstered my ambition. My brother Dre'sta started
before me. When I found out that he was rapping I
began soon after.

(ILLHILL.com)
Did you ever release anything before you got on Eazy's
"It's On (Dr. Dre) 187'um Killa?"

(BG Knocc Out)
No, I never released anything before the Eazy record.
Though I was part of this group called "Youths At Risk,"
in which we recorded a song for sale but we only sold
the record at a nightclub, where we preformed for the
first time. Not long after the group fell out with the
management and everything went down hill.

(ILLHILL.com)
So what have you been doing to prepare yourself for
release?

(BG Knocc Out)
As far as preparing myself for release, I've just been
reading and studying a lot of material on running an
independent record label and buying and selling real
estate. Besides this I've been praying a lot.
As most people know by now Ive reverted to orthodox
Islam so my thought processes have changed dramatically.
Mentally I'm in a better place to get out and take on
my responsibilities.

(ILLHILL.com)
Have you kept good contact with your brother Dre'sta?

(BG Knocc Out)
I keep in contact with my brother but it's not the best
it could be. I'm a little disappointed in the treatment
I've gotten from my brother, as well as most of my family.
For some reason when you come to prison people seem to
cast you to the back of their memory.

(ILLHILL.com)
What about other members of the Ruthless family, do you
still keep in touch with any of them?

(BG Knocc Out)
The other Ruthless family members, we are not in contact
at all. Haven't been since Eazy passed away.

(ILLHILL.com)
When was the last time you saw Eazy Before he was
taken to hospital?

(BG Knocc Out)
Many people don't know but the day Eazy went into hospital,
I was with him in the studio. Eazy had a verse to do on
DPG/Killa. So I was in the studio waiting on him to record
his verse. Before he was able to do so his lungs collapsed
and he could barely breath. The night before he was diagnosed
with bronchitis so he came from the doctor with these huge
inhalers. He tried using them but to no avail.
When his condition worsened I notified his personal body-
guards and they came in and took him back to the hospital.
Ten days later my friend was dead.

(ILLHILL.com)
It must have been a difficult time for you, what was your
first reaction when you heard the news that he contracted
Aids and then when he died?

(BG Knocc Out)
When I heard that he passed to complications from aids,
I thought it to be a crock of sh*t. And I still do.
But unfortunately only he, Allah and perhaps a few others
know the total truth behind his death.

(ILLHILL.com)
What are your thoughts towards his eldest son Lil Eazy E?

(BG Knocc Out)
I love all of Eazy's children because I loved Eazy.
Lil Eazy was still very young when I came to prison.
However I am delighted that he has grown up and desires to
keep his fathers legacy alive. Eazy was the man.
No disrespect but Pac and Biggie was children when Eazy
had the world in awe. There isn't one Rap artist in the
world today that shouldn't give Eric "Eazy E" Wright a
shout out for making it possible for them to say exactly
what they feel on record. The hip hop world should be
held accountable for not putting Eazy on top of our most
memorable Rap stars that have passed away. But people like
Lil Eazy, myself and my brother will make sure that he's
never forgotten, Allah willing.

(ILLHILL.com)
What are your feelings towards the DPG now?

(BG Knocc Out)
The Dogg Pound and I are no longer feuding.
I got love for big Snoop Dogg. Hes a real guy in my book.
I've met Kurupt one time and we kicked it. I've yet to meet
Daz and others since we called the beef off.

(ILLHILL.com)
We heard many stories about what happened at the golf club
from both sides but never from you, can you tell us exactly
what happened?

(BG Knocc Out)
The golf club incident was an unfortunate one. Not just
because of the fight but because someones project was
interrupted and my main man Russell Simons lost money
due to the incident. I regret that mostly.
But Nate Dogg actually started the whole thing.
Nate was riding in one of those golf carts with Coolio
and ran over my foot. So when he stopped I confronted
him about it. Dre'sta seen us arguing so came over to fight
Nate. All of Nates homies ran over there to back him so my
brother tried to hit Nate but didn't connect,
Nate swung back but missed also, That's when I hit Nate in
the jaw and he fell to the ground. I felt someone behind me
and it was one of the twins from Warren G's camp.
I turned around and locked up with one of them so they
all started running off the course. Nate came back with a
golf club and hit my brother so I grabbed one and chased
Nate across the course. I haven't seen the DVD yet so I'm
not sure whats recorded and what has been edited out.

(ILLHILL.com)
Are you going straight back into the rap scene once you get
out or are you going to take time out to relax back at home?

(BG Knocc Out)
Yes, I plan to go back into the game immediately.
I've rested long enough here in prison. I got to get back
and establish myself in the game. Plus I got a crew to
introduce to the world. Watch out for the Baby Gangsta Click.

(ILLHILL.com)
Have you got any projects lined up once you get out?

(BG Knocc Out)
I have no definite Projects once I touch down but people have
been discussing my name in certain circles.
But I'm willing to deal with anybody that's going to help me
realise my goal and give me total support in my endeavours.

(ILLHILL.com)
What's keeping your mind focused after all these years?

(BG Knocc Out)
I stay focused in here by obeying the precepts of my way of
life (Islam). I make my daily prayers and contemplate a lot.
I also holla at some of the more level headed prisoners from
all over Cali and elsewhere. We discuss current events and
other things about life in general. But my true guidance
comes directly from Allah, lord of all creation.

(ILLHILL.com)
What can the fans expect from you as soon as you get back
into the game?

(BG Knocc Out)
The fans can expect straight heat from a new B.G Knocc out
album. The lyrics will be heated and the beats will be slamming.
Otherwise I'll never record another album.
Thus I'll only put out the best or nothing at all.

(ILLHILL.com)
Any final thoughts or anything else you would like to
say to your fans?

(BG Knocc Out)
Anybody that supports the Original Baby Gangsta, I'd like to
say thanks for your support. I can only hope to give you great
music to ride to in the near future. So stay on the look out
for that Gangsta Compton Sound that brought the streets to it's
knees back in the day. Long live EAZY MUTHAPHUKKIN E...
