The rapper DMX was charged Monday with violating the conditions of his release following a car crash last year at John F. Kennedy International Airport after being cited twice for traffic violations in the past year, one involving an accident that injured two police officers...

DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, pleaded guilty in Queens Criminal Court last December to reckless endangerment and admitted he was taking Valium when he smashed his sport utility vehicle into a gate at Kennedy Airport on June 24, 2004, after telling a parking lot attendant he was a federal agent.

Simmons, 34, of Mount Kisco, was sentenced to a conditional discharge, meaning further violations within a year could land him in jail. He also was fined and ordered to forfeit his $13,000 sport utility vehicle.

One week after that sentence, Simmons was charged with driving a car at 104 mph on Route 684 near his Westchester County home, Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown said. On April 15, he was arrested after his car was involved in a three-car accident in the Bronx that injured two police officers driving in an unmarked car.

Simmons' driver's license had either been suspended or revoked in each incident, Brown said.

Simmons did not cause the injuries to the officers and had been on his way to the hospital to see his wife when the accident occurred on the Major Deegan Expressway, his attorney, Murray Richman, said Monday.

Richman called the new charge "a noncase" and said it was extremely unusual for prosecutors to revisit a case in this manner.

Simmons posted $500 bail at a hearing Monday and has to return to court for an October 11 hearing. He could face up to one year in jail if a judge determines he violates the conditions of his release.

Contrary to popular belief, DMX hasn't left the imprint he helped to make popular in the late '90s. In fact, the Yonkers, NY rapper is now signed to Ruff Ryder/Sony. The label remains in business with Def Jam for R&B singer Aja.

"The whole situation just didn't click with the change," Waah Dean told SOHH.com. "With DMX... It just didn't work. They just fired everybody, came in with the Arista system and it just didn't work for us. So we just worked our way up out of that joint."

X is scheduled to film a video for his first single via the new deal, "We In Here," in Houston during NBA All-Star Weekend.

The Double R has however ended its joint venture with Virgin Records, which released Jin and Drag-On's solo projects. Though the battle emcee is still contractually obligated to Ruff Ryders, the label is in the process of releasing Jin from his contract. Ruff Ryders are currently shopping a deal for Drag.

Late last year, reports also surfaced that The Lox would cease recording for Interscope. Furthermore, the trio cited that Diddy continued to cash in on most of their publishing while 50 Cent pulled strings at Interscope. Diddy has since given the group its publishing back and the Dean brothers are presently helping D-Block renegotiate a deal with Interscope.

"The Lox is recording," Waah Dean explained. "It was just more so negotiations. They feel that they wanted to get a better position in the deal, so they took that route. They went out there and they started talking about the situation. They felt a certain way about whatever was happening. We got them to the drawing board with Interscope and we're just pretty much working out the kinks."

With red hot producer Swizz Beatz now acting as the label's vice president as well as heading up his own Full Surface imprint over at J Records, Ruff Ryders are hoping to return to prominence.

Styles P's Time Is Money, DMX's We In Here and solo albums from Jadakiss and Drag-On are all slated to hit stores this year.

hmm fand rr in der anfangszeit des labels cool..
is halt dieses prinzip gewesen, das ein producer (swizz) mehr oder weniger alles des labels producde, wenn man den producer mochte konnte man sich das alles geben wenn nicht dann halt nich..
aber ich mochte swizz sein style damals und wie gesagt ich find das top wenn en label sein stamm producer hat dann weiss man schon im vorraus immer obs eim gefällt oder nich..

die guten rr releases für mich(danach liess swiss extrem nach und es kamen zu viele producer) waren die bis 2001 oder so

die beiden ersten rr compilations
die ersten drei dmx alben
lox: we are the streets
das erste eve album
und das erste drag on album

danach kamen zwar noch paar ordentliche sachen (erstes jada solo, styles solo, sheek solo, vol 3) aber war halt nich mehr so speziell wie ganz am anfang

ich hab nur noch die beiden compis zu hause und denk mal die behalt ich auch, der rest is mir nich so wichtig fand zwar swizz seine beats cool aber die rapper sind alle nich so mein style..

die neuen sachen kenn ich gar nich mehr..
das letzte was ich mir angehört hab war vol.3 und das neue jada album (vol.3 is in ordnung das jada album is ne beleidigung abnormal dummes album für mich)

wer is eigentlich jetzt so dort an artists und producern hab überhaupt kein überblick mehr

After a three-year hiatus, DMX is slated to release Year of the Dog, Again on Ruff Ryders/Sony Music.


X was initially slated to release the album under the title Here We Go, Again last summer. The album would have dropped under Def Jam. Since then, X has left the label and signed with Sony Music.

Contrary to popular belief, X is still signed to Ruff Ryders. In fact, Swizz Beatz is reported to have played a big role in the album and produced its first single, "We In Here."

Year of the Dog, Again will mark the Yonkers, NY rapper's sixth album. To date, he has released It's Dark and Hell Is Hot, Flesh Of My Flesh Blood Of My Blood, And Then There Was X, The Great Depression and Grand Champ.

Year of the Dog, Again is slated to hit stores this summer.

ich fands kacke...aber wenn dir get it on the floor gefällt, dann düften 4,5 lieder drauf was für sich sein

grand champ schlechtestes dmx album, gut war drauf ayo kaito, the rain fand ich ziemlich locker, dogs out, where the hood at , my life und das intro. 23 tracks sind eh zuviel und die dvd war auch nicht der hit.

dmx ist so schlecht geworden unglaublich.

ich hab die erste und die 2te jetzt wieder für die sammlung, der rest kommt mir auch nimmer in die hütte. aber über die erste und die zweite lass ich nix kommen. die 3te fand ich auch schon skandalträchtig scheisse, nur "what deez bitches want" fand ich geil...und danach hab ich keine mehr angehört und gekauft weils einfach nur trash war.

bei den rr compis hab ich auch nach 2 aufgehört, die erste war aber sehr sehr geil fand ich.

ich finde nur die erst geil 2 und 3 kann man sich sparen

von den Double R ... die DMX sind alle ok aber die erste ist ein Classic ... hab sogar die Limited Edition von der Its Dark ....
