Man I have so many, hip hop period is my influence. You know how Chicago is man, we right in the middle, so we get all that music. I was on the West Coast when they was poppin’ D.O.C. DJ Quik all them. The East Coast, the South, I love it all man.
What sets you apart from other rappers that are in the game today? (*windycitychief)
With me, I just want to bring Chicago to the table. People outside of Chicago jo, don’t be knowin about Chicago. We learned all this through the music. That’s what I’m trying to bring to the table. I just want to explain Chicago to a tee, where everybody know without even havin to come to Chicago, what Chicago is like.
How did you and Kanye West get to know each other? (*ChiDro)
I knew Kanye for a couple years, like when I first-first was rapping. I only been rapping for 4 years. When I first started rappin’ I use to just ganks the beats. I’d find a beat CD and take it and I’ll just do shit over it…I don’t know whose beats they is. I had did somethin’ over his (Kanye) beat one time. What had happened was, we had ended up gettin up after that and he was suppose to do somethin’ before I got my deal with me. But when I got the deal, it just made it even more better.
What is going through your mind before you get into the studio? (*ChiDro)
Man jo, I’m goin’ in there to have fun. I have fun in the studio. People go in there tryin to think too hard and work too hard. I just go in there to have fun. I be bangin out 2 songs in one day. I done recorded 100 songs since I been signed to Atlantic
What’s up with the album when is it dropping? (*Chitownplayer)
Its not official yet, but its gonna be the end of April. We shootin the video on the 21st of Jan.

I got of course Kanye, I got my man from Chicago, Bugz banged my shit out. Then I got Red Spyder, Track Boyz, Trak Stars, Scott Storch, Aqua, Indiana Jones, he from Chicago too and Xtreme he from Chicago too.
Do you have any artist from Chicago besides the Goon Squad on the album? (*Chitownplayer)
I got Twista on there and Kanye. I don’t have no features period. Them the only two features I got is Twista and Kanye. I got singles Jon Lesner and Jagged Edge
Is it true that Hype Williams will be directing the video for your single "Move Around"? (*windycitychief)

Yeah, when they was down here in New York, I had a couple meetings. They real thirsty right now. It’s comin. I’ll have the label (Bump’s own label) deal sealed before my album drop.
How will you make sure the Goon Squad doesn’t get compared to other acts like G Unit, Terror Squad, Diplomats, etc? (*Fabo312)
Its gon’ be comparisons man, but we stand out man, because of the whole Chicago thing and the picture we tryin to paint.

Oh definitely, definitely, definitely. Kanye got nominated for 10 grammy’s. At the first of the year, I was calling people saying Happy My Year.
How do you feel about being the only Chicago artist to get a deal without leaving your city? (*Fabo312)
I felt good about just selling my mixtapes and all that shit in Chicago. I coulda did that shit, shit for the next 3-4 years. I woulda been good. I just expected them to come to Chicago, I never, never once thought about leaving…never looked for no deals nothin’. I knew they was gon’ come. You know how we aint have a real strong hip hop scene, like everybody rappin, like New York and so forth, but it was a lot of people comin into our town throwin parties or whatever, doin shows. And when they come they wanna know whats poppin’…I just knew I would create a buzz so ugly that everybody that come here can’t help but hear Bump name.
