Lost Children Of Babylon
Hello, good to talk to you. Please, drop some facts about the “Lost Children of Babylon” – who are the LCOB, where are you guys from, how and when did
this whole thing start?
The Lost Children of Babylon are based out of Philadelphia. It started back in 1994 with two members, then 3, then 5, now 7.
You have the expression “Babylon” in your name – The Lost Children of Babylon – where, or what is Babylon for you?
Everywhere is Babylon; Babylon is an ancient city between Ur Chadia (sp?) and the Akkad. Everywhere is Babylon and America is the modern day Babylon of this day and age.
How and why did you break up working together with the Jedi Mind Tricks?
People trying to disconnect us with Jedi Mind Tricks is why that happened. It was from outside influences that led to the break-up. We will always be a part of Jedi Mind Tricks and Jedi Mind Tricks will always be a part of us, no matter what people think.
Are you jealous of the big success they have right now?
Not at all. They worked hard for it and they deserve it. Besides, we are going places right now.
Can you identify with the attitude that Jus Allah represents on his new solo-album “All Fates Have Changed”?
I could if I was mad, but I am not mad at Jedi Mind Tricks, so that doesn’t relate to me. I think Jus Allah has every right to state his mind of that matter, but we’re not Jus Allah or Jedi Mind Tricks. I send love and peace to both Jedi Mind Tricks and Jus Allah and I hope we can all work together again one day.
Alright, let’s focus on a more important issue: You released your new album, “The 911 Report”, in August 2005 – what’s your opinion about that day, September 11, 2001? What do you think happened to the world on that day?
It was a pre-meditated event, and I knew that it was going to happen. That day shattered my mind, all I could think about was the people in the buildings dying, then the people jumping out the windows. I couldn’t do too much about it. In matter of fact, I couldn’t even rhyme about it at the time, but when I heard Immortal Technique and Dead Prez, I knew I had to say something. Being that we deal with spirituality and knowledge of self, it would have been rude for me to not say something about it. To unfold the tragedy in the conspiracy to the world. You are going to see more things happening in the world. Read the signs.
Please, tell the people the idea of the religion you believe in, the “Nuwaubu”.
Nuwaubu is not a religion, it is a way of life. It originally comes out of Egypt and is the sacred science of the pharoahs, and also it deal with three common factors. Evidence, experience, and reason, which is right knowledge, wisdom, and overstanding, which is the mathematics of your inner being.
Is there a connection to today’s Islam?
There is a connection, the connection is in the word “Nuwaubu”. If you understand arabic and seretic, then you would see the connection to the egyptian word Nuwaubu: The arabic word “Nu” means a color inclining to black, and black is the state of supreme balancement.
Your music is strongly influenced by the golden ages of Egypt. What are your sources? Where do you get your information from?
The ascendant masters from the star system Sirius. I channel the energy from the pyramids. It gives me a vivid perception of my mental.
Have you experienced any discrimination caused by your straight political and religious opinion?
Not at all, we’re not that big, yet. And if we do, fuck it, let freedom ring with a buck-shot.
Rich Raw has also just released his solo-debut album. Are there other solo-projects to follow?
Rich has and is releasing other solo projects too, look out for “Words to the Wise”.
Apart from that, are there any other talented people you’d like to introduce to us from your music scene?
Yes there are; Seventh Cathedral Recordings would like to introduce The Anahata Sacred Sound Current, Wazulu the Ill Dravidian (my manager), and a few others in the works, and whom ever wants to work with us.
Do you have any certain plans for the future?
Yes, the Akashic Records – An Epic 70 and 6 trillion years in the making. This is the album that will answer all the questions, the universe, the solar system, and the planet Earth as you know it, as well as other things.
Alright, thanks a lot for the interview! Any last words or shout-outs?
Peace to Allen Sands, Wazulu the Ill Dravidian, the Sands family, Jedi Mind Tricks, Jus Allah, Killah Priest, Suns of Man, our families, peace to all the members of the LCOB. Peace, Love, and Props to all our fans, and peace to the world! If it wasn’t for you, we would not exist. Much Love.
