Baby Doll
In Kürze soll ein erstes Full Lenght namens “Life Of A Strippa” folgen.
For the ones that don’t know: who’s Baby Doll?
I’m one of the hottest female rappers in H-Town. And I promised myself that if I was to make it big, I will never forget were I came from. I don’t have a manager nor am I on a record label, but I’m still doing it big and everybody knows me.
“Hottest Female Rapper” – why you? What makes you special?
I write my own lyrics, got the looks, attitude, I’m versatile, also I’m not scared to show that I have a nice body like some female I know. If u got it show it, it’s a blessing because you’re not going to have it forever.
Where are you from in Houston?
I grew up n Crestmont Park, off M.L. King in South Park of Houston. It was hard back in my days because my mom had 7 kids all together. She didn’t have much money, so we had to do with out. But by having a big family we was never bored, we entertained each other. Those were the good times.
Have you been in contact with rapmusic back then?
I been rapping since I was in the 4th grade at John E.Codwell Elem. From 4th threw 6th grade they used me to rap in the D.A.R.E. programs each year.
You debuted on the scene on legendary Ice Mike’s compilation “Do ‘Em Dirty”. How did the song “Do Dat Lick” come together?
Ice Mike was recording at the studio I record at. Ice Mike asked to hear some of my music. He said that my voice will be a perfect fit for the song that he was trying to do. They called me up, we set up a date to record. BAMM there goes “Do Dat Lick”! I had so much fun!
You recently dropped an underground album called “Stayin On The Grind”. Give us some information on that piece…
Yes, I just dropped an underground album. You can purchase it a The Chill Factor on Old Spanish Trail right pass Scott st. on the right hand side, next to a bus station and in the same parking lot as Club On Da Roxxs.
What will be up next?
I plan to drop my first album which will be called “Life Of A Strippa”. And also take the rap industry to a whole different level. I mainly would like to record with Khia and Trina one day.
How does your everyday life look like today?
I’m a bold, outgoing, real, and down to earth person. Spending motherly time with my soon to be two year old son Jaylon. As you can see a regular day is a good day. My family loves what I’m doing in the rap biz. I got nothing but support.
What about slowed music, who’s the best DJ in that category right now? And do you have a favourite Screw-Tape?
D.J Chill is the best DJ – and the best screw tape ever made was “June 27th”.
We’re already at the end of this interview. Time to drop some final words…
I would first of all like to thank my son’s dad Jimmy Baker Jr. for being with me every step of the way, my mother who believes in me, my brothers, the one and only cousin who stuck with me through it all Meci, and Kiotti and Trae Da Truth who gave me some words of wisdom. Thank y’all and much love…
