E-40 has been asking "Tell Me When To Go" along with Oakland's Keak Da Sneak for weeks now and as a result he has been tearing up the charts. The result has been much needed attention to the Bay Area once again with states going crazy for the sound; even the world has taken notice.

We, as ever, chopped it up with the legend that is E-40 earlier this month and spoke about the single and the album, the Bay Area, how his career has progressed and much more. If you missed it (shame on you!) click here to check it out.

Since then, with the buzz created by the single, E-40 has linked up through DJ Skee with L.A. representer The Game for the remix to the smash hit "Tell Me When To Go." The track is, as i am sure you will be anticpating prior to download, going to be hot - and rest assured it does not dissapoint. We have the track for download below as ever and we urge you to check it our then hit up our forum with some feedback in our already popular thread!

Techniec Clarifies Status With Black Wallstreet

The talk has been going on heavy and the week started off with the main question "Did Techniec Leave Black Wallstreet?" It all began after the official Black Wallstreet website relaunched minus Tech's name on the artist roster. Well West Coast Rydaz hit up Techniec to give yall official word on the situation.

"The status is I wish Black Wallstreet the best but it will be without Techniec. Techniec is doing Techniec's thing, and Dynamic Certified. That's what it is." clarifies Techniec.

Techniec affiliated himself with The Game early last year as a part of a supertrio of MCs known as The MOB, which consisted of himself, Game and Eastwood. As an artist who has continued his grind and kept projects on the move with his Dynamic Certified Entertainment, he's not letting any of it slow him down. "I'm still gonna move forward with my mixtape. Look forward to some more Dynamic Certified. We will release an independent album this year, for the streets. We got alot of things in the works. Won't stop, I keep on moving."

Dynamic Certified recently shot a video for Bounce That, and Techniec is near completion of his highly anticipated solo mixtape.

Bay Area's Mac Minister Found

The 10-month manhunt for Mac Minister came to an end yesterday (March 2) at a San Francisco apartment complex when it was raided by an SFPD tactical unit and FBI agents.

The 35-year-old Bay Area rapper (born Andre Dow) was arrested on a federal warrant charging him with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

As SOHH previously reported, Mac Minister was being sought for his connection in the May 2005 murders of Kansas City rapper Fat Tone (born Anthony Watkins) and his friend Jermaine "Cowboy" Akins.

Fat Tone and Akins were last seen leaving a Las Vegas hotel with Dow and were later found shot dead at a construction site by a security guard.

"I don't know if [Dow] lives there, but that's where he was" San Francisco police Sgt. Neville Gittens told reporters.

According to FBI officials, the operation to capture Mac Minister went smoothly except for a brief "verbal standoff" with a female occupant of the home.

Mac Minister had fled Las Vegas after being indicted on two counts of murder in the aforementioned double homicide.

Authorities believe Fat Tone's death could have been in retaliation for the killing of Bay Area rapper Mac Dre. Dre was shot and killed in a 2004 drive by shooting, on Kansas City's S. 71 highway. Fat Tone was considered a person of interest in the murder but never a suspect.

Early into the investigation of Fat Tone's murder, police arrested Jason Mathis, Mac Minister's friend, who is still in custody and awaiting trial in Las Vegas.

A white Pontiac Sunfire, owned by Lee "Alana" Danae Laursen, Mathis's girlfriend, was seen leaving the scene of the murder. The car was later found burning at Sixth Street and Cherry Avenue early morning on May 25, 2005. Six months later, Laursen was found dead close to a curb in Fairfield, California.

Police haven't made any arrests in Laursen's murder but Mac Minister is a prime suspect.

Cassidy Released From Jail After Serving Eight Months

Cassidy is a free man. The Philadelphia rapper was released from the city's Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility on Thursday, according to his label. He is now on parole for an unspecified length of time.

Cassidy had been convicted of involuntary manslaughter in the shooting death of 22-year-old Desmond Hawkins, as well as two counts of aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime. The rapper turned himself in for the murder in June 2005, just as his sophomore LP, I'm a Hustla, was being released. Cass had been incarcerated ever since.

Cass' reps say they do not know what his immediate plans are. In late January, however, Swizz Beatz told MTV News that Cass wanted to begin recording almost immediately after getting to spend time with his family.

In January Cassidy released a statement saying, "While I am pleased that I was cleared of the murder charges, my satisfaction is not long lasting, because of the death of someone who I considered to be my friend, Des Hawkins. And while I am eager to resume my career as a recording artist, writer and performer, I am also eager to be reunited with my family, friends and fans."

Random News ( Lil Jon, Too-Short, E-40 & More)

In addition to the cyber-release above, Green Lantern's had his plate full cooking up beats for other MCs. He produced four records for Papoose, three on the new Ice Cube album, Ludacris just took two tracks from him and Lantern also slid beats to Fat Joe and Busta Rhymes.

With all this work for other people, when is the Evil Genius going to get some time for himself? Well, he just dropped his first mixtape of '06, Alive on Arrival. He described the set as a real street album: He produced 20 songs for the mixtape, including appearances from Pharrell Williams on a track called "Ice Cream" (you'll hear pieces of the old Eddie Murphy "Ice Cream" comedy routine on there) and Fat Joe and Styles P. together on a song called "Shot Gun Season."

"I flipped the whole Junior Walker [song] 'Shotgun' on there," Green said. "It's flagrant."

The first single (yes, a single from a mixtape — he's taking it that seriously) from Alive on Arrival is "Show U What I'm Workin' With" by Juelz Santana and Dem Franchize Boyz. ...

Last week we told you how Lil Jon was mixing it up with E-40. Well, he has another Bay Area legend on his radar as well. Too Short. The mixtapes should be pumping out the new Jon-produced Short single "Blow the Whistle" any day now.

"My new single is another Lil Jon big bass club song," Short said on the set of his video in Oakland, California. "It's just a fun song about blowing the whistle, like a referee, on anybody that ain't supposed to be in the game. It's not a Too Short pimp song and it's not too explicit. Just shake that monkey and dance!"

Short's 16th album, Up All Night, comes out later this year.

Shyne Fights For His Money From Behind Bars

Shyne is hoping his legal team will be able to regain control of his assets this week.

Owen Michelen, Shyne's lawyer, will be challenging the "Son of Sam" law that froze Barrow's assets last year. According to reports, Barrow's family is in dire need of monetary assistance.

"He was the sole support of his family", Michelen told The New York Post. "They are in very difficult financial circumstances."

The "Son of Sam" law prohibits any criminal offender to receive profits from a crime. Profits that would have gone to the offender are held to the benefit of the offender's victims or contributed to the state victim compensation fund.

Shyne (born Jamal Barrow), who is currently serving a 10-year sentence for his involvement in a 1999 shooting at a New York night club, signed a multi-million deal with Def Jam Records in 2004 and released the album God Father Buried Alive in the same year.

In March 2005, Brooklyn Supreme Court Justice Michael Garson, froze Barrow's assets including royalties from God Father Buried Alive and a $500,000 advance he received from Def Jam. The aforementioned assets were to be held until civil suits filed against Barrow by victims of the 1999 incident were settled.

On Tuesday (March 7), Michelen hopes to convince Justice Garson to allow Barrow's mother to get financial relief from the $500,000 advance. "Barrow's record deal is no way related to the crime" said Michelen. "The law's gone overboard. You don't lose all your rights in prison."

During the 1999 shooting, three club goers were shot, including Nataria Reuben who suffered a gunshot to the face. All of the victims' lawsuits cite "personal injuries, pain and suffering."

"Those funds are for the crime victims," said Reuben's lawyer Debra Reiser when word of Barrow's actions reached her. "That's what the law. He's trying to circumvent the law for his own purposes."

In June 2005, Barrow's appeal for a new trial was rejected by a five-member panel of a New York State Appeals Court. He is not eligible for parole until at least 2009.

In related news, Marion "Suge" Knight recently revealed that he had interest in signing Shyne to Death Row East, a subsidiary of Death Row Records.

[Shyne has been making a lot of moves from behind bars. To find out more, check our SOHH NYC blog.]

Juvenile Puts Baby on Blast, Scarface Speaks on Lil Troy

Juvenile has just slapped Baby of Cash Money with a Reality Check.

After proclaiming to be the “Cash Money hater,” Juvenile made sure the rest of his sentiments about Baby were made very clear on the Star and Buc Wild Show on New York City’s Power 105.1 Tuesday morning (March 7th).

“I’m going to show the world you’re a sissy boy and I’m going to smack you when I see you,” Juve, the former Cash Money soldier, warned Baby. “Stop running from me when you throw your parties.”

Juvenile later disclosed that he ended up with $6 million in his split from Cash Money. The New Orleans native is currently prepping a House of Blues tour and would be game to jump on a tour with the Oscar-winning Three 6 Mafia, if they decide to go that route.

In other beef related news, in an exclusive interview with Vibe.com, when asked to comment on the "Paperwork" dvd rapper Lil Troy has put out claiming to have official paperwork that states Scarface is a government informant, Face said, "That shit is some bullsh*t a snitch *ss n*gga put together...

"I'm gonna deal with his *ss out here in the streets."

Cam'ron Mocks Jay-Z

After easing up on his Jay-Z attacks the past few weeks, Cam'ron is preparing another major assault. Killa recently called on none other than comedy legend Jimmie "J.J." Walker to spoof Hova in the split "Lick It or Not"/ "Wet Wipes" clip, which was shot in New York last week. Think of the character as a J.J.-Z of sorts.

"I showed up, I was there for a couple shots and I was done," said Walker on Monday (March 6) via phone from his Las Vegas home. "They just called me up. I'm never hiding."

The Bronx native is best known for his classic role as "Kid Dy-no-mite" James "J.J." Evans Jr. on the '70s sitcom "Good Times." Walker hasn't appeared heavily on TV since the show ended in 1979, but he performs stand-up between 25 and 300 times a year and hosted the recent Body and Soul Tour featuring Guy, Bell Biv DeVoe, En Vogue and Keith Sweat. He's also going to be appearing on the hit TV series "Everybody Hates Chris."

Walker dressed in a gold Roc-A-Fella chain, buttoned shirt and blue New York Yankees hat for Cam's shoot, mimicking the hip-hop mogul Cam recently devoted a dis track and press conference to. In one scene Jimmie is even shown stepping out of a Maybach wearing sandals and jeans — a fashion no-no, according to Cam. Jay-Z's name is never spoken during the split video, but it's heavily implied that Walker is supposed to be him. Both songs appear on Cam's Killa Season, due May 9 (the movie of the same name comes out on DVD on April 25).

While Walker described the Diplomats as "nice" guys, he said he had no idea what the video was about.

"I don't really know, to tell you the honest-to-goodness truth," the 58-year-old said about the video's plot. "There was actually no script. You know me, I did a lot of improv. They said just follow the action and go for it. They rolled up the video and I did what I do. ... I did my thing and everyone seemed to be happy with it.

"Cam'ron took some girls from me [in the video]," Walker added, providing a little more insight. "I gave my look, my thing I do. There was a little upsetness. He had his posse with him. I didn't have a posse so his posse out-dueled my posse, but that's it."

According to Cam's camp, Cam and Walker have their first confrontation at a club filled with beautiful women in the "Lick It" segment. In "Wet Wipes" — which takes place primarily at a Waffle House after the club scenes — they engage each other again, with Killa taking Walker's chick.

Although Walker says he's a connoisseur of older music, he actually was up on Cam's "Oh Boy."

"Cam'rom seems to be an interesting cat," he said. "His crew was telling me, 'You gotta get up to date, man. The Stylistics, we all love them, but you know, time's up.' "

Young Jeezy ARRESTED in SHOOTOUT

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. -- Young Jeezy was arrested after an alleged shootout in South Beach involving some of his friends, police said.

The 28-year-old rapper, born Jay Jenkins, was charged early Saturday with two counts of carrying a concealed firearm without a permit, police said.

Jenkins was with a group of men involved in a fight around 5:30 a.m. Friday, according to a police report.

When a passer-by filming the fight refused to hand over his video camera, one of the men in the group began shooting, the report stated.

Jenkins and about nine men fled the scene in two sport utility vehicles, police spokesman Robert Hernandez told The Miami Herald.

Officers stopped both vehicles, and found a semiautomatic firearm under Jenkins' seat and another gun near the armrest when they searched his SUV.

Two members of Jenkins' group also were arrested. Tramiel De Juan Golden was charged with strong armed robbery, and Steven Lesly Savain of Kendall was taken into custody on trespassing charges stemming from previous warrant for his arrest.

Young Jeezy's album "Let's Get It" was released in July

Jay-Z News

Being president is not enough: Now he's royalty too. Jay-Z says that Sir Paul McCartney, who performed with Jigga during the Grammys, has knighted him — sword ceremony and all — and given him yet another name. "Sir Hova of Brooklyn," Jay laughed.

His flyness is still basking in Def Jam crooner Ne-Yo's #1 debut last week on the Billboard albums chart, but that hasn't stopped his focus on rap. His top priority at the moment is Rick Ross, who currently has a huge underground hit.

"We're shooting that video right now, and that's an urgent project for us," Jay said of Ross' street anthem "Hustlin'. " "We need that one. We have a wide range of music [at Island Def Jam], everything from Fall Out Boy to the Killers to Rihanna. I just want everybody to know that we are still in the rap business."

Jay said he didn't mind getting into a bidding war with other companies to sign Ross, a longtime staple in Miami's underground scene. Hov has had his eye on him for quite a while, and the timing was perfect.

"[Memphis] Bleek actually told me about him first," Jay recalled. "Bleek went down to Miami, and he told me that dude was nice. [Ross] fell off the radar for a while, then he popped back up with this record 'Hustlin'.' He had this record poppin' in Miami, and I was like, 'Oh, that's the kid!' "

Jay's excited not only about "Hustlin'," but because Ross has other songs that people will be talking about as well.

"He's got a couple of follow-ups," Hov said. "His whole thing is the other side of Miami. Everybody is talking about the cars and the water. He's showing you the [darker] side of Miami. That's his whole approach to it."

Ross' Career Criminal is due on Def Jam sometime this summer.

Kevin Liles Says Fat Joe is Still With Atlantic

Kevin Liles defiantly shot down rumors about Fat Joe being dropped from Atlantic Records live on the air with radio veteran Ed Lover on Power 105 Tuesday afternoon.

"I don't know how that (rumor) started," Liles, the Executive Vice President of the Warner Music Group, told Lover about Fat Joe being cut from Atlantic's roster. "Joe has been with Atlantic for nine years and we set up a situation where Joe could make a lot of money.

"Joe is going to be cashing big checks."

After making that absolutely clear, Liles went on to tell Lover his big goal.

"Every 12-18 months, I want to introduce a new artist," Liles said.

Among the artists he's currently ready, willing and able to push are Bad Boy's R&B sweetheart Cheri Dennis and MC Young Joc, of Block Entertainment/Bad Boy South/Warner Music
