Zitat:
Bloom was born and raised in Stockton, Ca. The youngest of four brothers, he grew up in a diverse environment in a city known more for its high crime rate than creative outlets for young artists. When asked to define his music, Bloom answered "I'd describe my music as an organism that grows and changes as I do". It is very apparent from the moment you begin to listen to his music, that Bloom is not only an artist but a person you want to grow with. Although he is set to release his first solo album, Bloom is by no means new to the game. In recent years Bloom has shared the main stage with well known acts like Hieroglyphics, KRS-One, The Living Legends and Zion I with the Hip Hop band "The Famous Getdown".
Now with a family of his own and lines like "I wake up in the morning with my wife and my kids/ my only job is to keep meat on they ribs", you can sense a genuine artist at work with no need for gimmicks. Bloom can easily shift from conscious to party music, as shown with the cut "Volume On Max", a track the personifies the west coast vibe.
Equipped with well seasoned verses and more than enough beat to nod your head to, Bloom straddles the fine line between underground and mainstream music. In short, it is simply good Hip Hop, good music.
