Necro Leaves Sounds Of Underground

Brooklyn rapper Necro (real name Ron Braunstein) has departed from his slot on this summer's Sounds Of The Underground Tour, citing a lack of enthusiasm from the tour's metal-loving crowd for the rapper's own morbid flavor of hip-hop. In a statement, the rapper claims that he was "facing hostile, disrespectful crowds and was returning the same energy back tenfold," before repeatedly identifying his hecklers as "emo kids" who are "so close-minded." In the face of the animosity, Necro asserts that he stood tall and was never booed off-stage during any of his 25-minute sets...

Despite Necro's copious use of classic metal samples and characteristically graphic lyrics, the billing on the tour still seemed like an odd one. While rap-metal certainly worked at Ozzfest for a couple of years (though we're certainly glad that's behind us) the SOTUG tour features a bill boasting the likes of Gwar, Every Time I Die, Amon Amarth and Job For A Cowboy—not exactly a lineup that screams hip-hop.

The MC will release his latest LP, the subtly titled Death Rap, September 11 through Psycho+Logical. "Some Get Back (Revenge)," a new track from the disc, can be heard at his MySpace. Before the album's release, Necro will head out on a small three-date Midwest run before hopping down under for a string of shows.

Klar, aber nicht im September. Ich weiß sowieso nicht woher das kommt dass das Album am 11.09. erscheint, auf der AOTP-Page liest man dazu nix...

OFFICIAL AOTP ALBUM BLOG!!!!!

Aotp is back, we just recorded like 9 joints for the new album, and this shit is getting crazy, this past thursday we recorded like 3 songs, Paz, Jus, Me, and we got a new member who's name is D-mise, his shit is sick, so look forward to hearing alot of him on the project, Jus Allah and Paz just banged out a classic song for the album, thats right, Jus Allah will be on the Pharoahs album, i thinks he's done two songs so far. i havent heard the joints with Self-Titled, and Apathy yet, but i knows its heat, so ill keep everbody updated on the album, o, esoteric has been lacing the beats, shit is crazy, the expected release date is 9/11, so i check back in a couple of days!!!!

The group is currently recording for their second album, titled Ritual of Battle, with a tentative release date of September 11, 2007. The album will feature two new members, Doap Nixon and D-Mise, as well as verses from newly returned JMT member Jus Allah.

kann mir auch nicht vorstellen dass das album echt am 11.9. kommt. die sind nie pünktlich und bislang hab ich sonst auch noch nirgendwo was davon gelesen.
