Ist mir schon klar, aber dafür dass die Herrschaften (bei den Stuttgarter Nachrichten ist es eine Dame namens Anja Wasserbäch ) studierte Journalisten sind, die für ihre Texte nicht wenig Geld einstreichen fühle ich mich a) schlecht informiert und b) schlecht unterhalten...

Ich kann mich noch an einen "empörten" Leserbrief von mir erinnern, nachdem die geschrieben hatten dass Jam Master Jay nach 2 Pac, Biggie und Big L schon der vierte ermordete Rapper wäre. Wurde sogar abgedruckt...

Ha ha, da haben die wohl damit gerechnet dass kein Hip Hop Hörer die Zeitung liest oder lesen kann...

das neue album wurde schnell langweilig für mich. die beats sind im prinzip ganz gut, doch nach paar mal hören sehr eintönig. ein plus an dem album ist, dass sich produktionstechnisch ein roter faden durch die tracks zieht.
meine erwartungen, einen arroganten/ignoranten jigga auf qualitativen beats zu hören, wurden nicht erfüllt.
mein jay-z lieblingsalben sind "reasonable doubt", "the blueprint" und "the black album".

gerade das erste mal "jay-z - i just died in your arms tonight (remix)" gehört.... geil!!

kann mich nur schore anschließen. sauber produziert, sauber geflowt. was er raptechnisch kann ist bekannt, der rest ist ein selbstläufer. für mich ernstzunehmende rapmusik auf mainstream niveau. kein zwielichtig poppig unseriöser trash wie ihn andere auf ähnlichem niveau manchmal produzieren.

Cherry Coke will get its first makeover since 2002 from a hip-hop icon.

The Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE: KO) said the design team from Rocawear -- the apparel brand founded by hip-hop icon Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter -- has redesigned the Cherry Coke brand. The softdrink's new look will debut Feb. 7 at an exclusive party during Fashion Week in New York.

The new design features a stylized silver cityscape scattered with dark pink cherries on a graduated pink background. The motif for Cherry Coke Zero includes the same silver cityscape and cherries with pierced centers dotted across a predominately black background.

"Cherry Coke already tastes great, but we wanted to give the brand an energetic new look and feel," said Katie Bayne, senior vice president of Coca- Cola Brands for Coca-Cola North America. "By partnering with Rocawear and its founder Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter, we've been able to fuse design, fashion and music to create a hot new look and personality for Cherry Coke and Cherry Coke Zero."

New Cherry Coke and Cherry Coke Zero packaging will be supported by a fully integrated marketing campaign, which includes a new 30-second television commercial premiering on the Feb. 14 episode of American Idol on FOX. The campaign also includes radio, outdoor, and point-of-sale executions. The new Cherry Coke ad was developed by Los Angeles-based advertising and design agency 72andSunny.

Is Jay-Z Getting The Boot From Def Jam?
Jay-Z could be fired from his role as CEO of Def Jam Records after demanding a ‘several million’ salary...


The hip hop star’s contract is up for renewal this year but label bosses, like Island/Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid, aren’t happy with Jigga’s huge pay demands.


"Jay is asking for several million as a base salary plus big bonus 'bumps' on records that do well. Reid isn't going for it. They're miles apart," a source told the New York Daily News.


Reid is said to be questioning how much time Jay-Z can spend on the label after coming out of retirement to restart recording and touring. He is also reportedly jealous of the attention the rapper receives.


When Jay walks into a meeting, he sucks the air out of the room,” a source said. "Even without trying. At the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame awards, Jay and L.A. were sitting at the same table. But it was like L.A. was invisible.”


Since becoming CEO of Def Jam, Jay-Z has signed acts including Ne-Yo, Rihanna and Teairra Mari to the label.

Jay-Z Releasing New Album 'American Gangster' In November


Rapper/mogul Jay-Z has announce that he will release an album full of all new material this November titled American Gangster.


While Jay-Z's version of American Gangster is separate from the official motion picture soundtrack, the new album is Jay-Z's lyrical interpretation of the movie, which stars Denzel Washington, Russell Crowe, Cuba Gooding Jr. (as Nicky Barnes), RZA, T.I., Ruby Dee, Common and others...




American Gangster is based on the true story of Frank Lucas, who is played by Denzel Washington. The movie chronicles Lucas rise to dominance over the Harlem drug trade in the streets of New York in 1970 by smuggling heroin into the country using the coffins of Vietnam veterans returning home from the war.



The movie is produced by Brian Grazer and directed and produced by Ridley Scott and opens in theaters November 2.



According to the sources, the first single from Jay-Z's American Gangster album will be titled "Blue Magic."




The album will feature a variety of producers, including Pharrell Williams.



Jay-Z's album American Gangster is due in stores November 6.

ich konnte jay-z`s erfolge noch nie nachvollziehen da er in meinen augen raptechnisch sogut wie garnichts zubieten hat.

aber der großteil seiner fans ist das weibliche geschlecht oder pupertierende kinder, von daher...

jay-z rapt einfach langweillig, sein letztes album war aus meiner sicht eine katastrophe genau wie die vielen vorgänger. er hat sich ganz klar zurück-entwickelt aber für mich hatte er nie was drauf.

wenn ich mir einen kommerziellen rapper gebe, dann lieber einen dmx als einen lächerlichen gay-z!
