Der Vollständigkeit halber, ballere ich das Ding hier auch mal rein.
Am Schluss und nur für die englisch-Fettische (gelle, FACE

"Nearly weekly a new star rises on the southern states sky, the names come and go , few remain. And then there are artists who have always been there, but never earned more than a pad on the back. K-Rino for instance. For 22 years , the rapper from Houston, TX has been active at the mic and fighting tirelessly for commercial success.
After taking his first steps as a rapper in 1984, he published two years later under the name “Real Chill” his first 12 inch “Rocking it”. He was still attending Sterling High School in Houston’s South Park neighborhood , an 81 % African American area. After graduation he and friend Dope-E founded the formation C.O.D, the LP “Coming out doggin” appears 1990. However the first success comes three years later with the publication of the album “Stories from the black Book”, which lays the foundation of his carrier. The album is explosive in words and rich in ideas , K-Rino seems to be electrified and brings his explosive mix of hardcore rap and differentiated social criticism to a head. He looks upon himself as having to be a contributor: “ My greatest concern is to be somebody who changes a needy humans life. We are responsible for our children and those who listen to our music. We should choose our words carefully”.
K-Rino receives vocal support from members of the South Park Coalition (S.P.C.). Already at the end of the eighties a collective of neighborhood rap artists was formed. To the core of this group belong already successful greats such as “Ganxsta Nip”, “ Point blank” and the “Terrorists”. In the vicinity existed with the Killa Klan a wild huge collective: besides names like Street Military (with K.B. Tha Kidnappa and Lil’ Flea) or Klondike Kat, it’s most of all Z-Ro and Trae who in the last few years saw a steep rise in their carriers including internationally. They have frequent studio sessions guest appearances together. Also during their annual S.P.C. weekend, they maintain old friendships, make new contacts and plan new projects. When after an elaborate Barbecue, the plates have been cleared, the mics are in their hands and pregnant lines are spit into the dawning evening sky, then a piece of street culture comes alive which an average rap fan would place in New York of the eighties. In spite of the high nostalgia factor one can’t speak of any retro and 4- element loyalty. South Park Coalition and Killa Klan are catch basins for every imaginable tragic characters of the street theater of H- Town: hustler, dealer and murderer- disputes within the group sometimes get settled by fist. Quickly it becomes clear that only K-Rino can take on the role of lead wolf: “ I’m the one around which everything turns. I’m the sun surrounded by planets. I keep everything in motion”- Not exactly a humble but never the less fitting self description.
In spite of the good reputation which the group enjoys in the street, is K-Rino unable to produce a Posse-Album. Only in 2002 appears with “Personal Vendetta” their first album. K-Rino continues his solo carrier. After "DANGER ZONE" (1995) and himself titled "K-RINO" and continues effort , including “No Mercy”, success did not come. To the latest sales trends K-Rino reacts irritably: “ While garbage is heaped on the magazine covers, diamonds are dumped in the trash”. However he is not giving up, with Black Book Entertainment he creates a new label and speeds up the publishing tempo. Since 2004 no fewer the seven albums of K-Rino were published, not counting diverse underground CD’s. The best of all, the quality did not suffer. With each album K-Rino seems to push, what is possibly, a bit higher. The scrawny innovator with the piercing eyes wallows in opalescent style change, connects sinister songs to biting double-times and occasionally Ragga inserts, designs always new and more complex concepts and works in beautiful regularity a fascinatingly broad theme perspective, from knock down punch lines to ice cold reality-reports, all the way to black- Islamic politically colored issues. The play with identities is being perfected.
K-Rino seem to have an affection for dialog scenarios: Whether God , Lucifer or his own psychiatrist, K-Rino spoke them all. In matters of production they have learned to delegate things to young guys who compensate their lack of experience with fresh ideas.
With this much activity there is a spring awakening on an international scale: gigs in Finland, an appearance at the7” “Worldwide connected” of the Berliner Keyza Soze, the close cooperation with the Wolftown Clique from Wolverhampton, England, additional projects have been announced. Besides an album with the title “The 7th sign” the announced resurrection of C.O.D. sounds interesting. With K-Rino and Dope-E ,the same duo are sitting in the studio which 16 years ago with “Coming out Doggin” gave their first sign of live. As we know K-Rino, he won’t waste time to revive old times, but take new steps forward. The "K" in K-Rino seems to stand for "Konstant", the constant to stay in motion. Hope remains that his artistic talent soon translates into the sound of ringing cash registers."
