Hi, my name is Nasa. I was the mix engineer and a producer at Definitive Jux from the time they began for about 4 years. I have started my own record label called Uncommon Records. We are now releasing our third release. It's called "We Are- Vol. 1". It's a compilation that includes some of the best underground artists making music today. It features The Presence (my own group, which previously has released two albums on Uncommon and a single on Def Jux), billy woods (co- founder of backwoodz studios which recently released The Reavers' Terror Firma LP that included contributions from Vordul of Can Ox, Karniege, Monsta Island Czars members, Akir and others), K-the-I??? (who has appeared on Big Juss' and Orko's NMS releases from Big Dada and has a record on Mush planned for release this year), Masai Bey (a founding member of Weathermen who has just released a new album on Raptivism Records), Vyle (Chicago emcee recently featured in Urb's Next 100), Arcsin (incredible instrumentalist who released an album on Def Jux's Pharmacy imprint), Stacs of Stamina (recently released a full length "Tivoli" on Werk Group in Europe), L.I.F.E. Long (veteran Stronghold emcee), Savage Messiah (formerly of Scienz of Life), Centri (of The Lenzmen), Dig Dug (of Agartha Audio, SF), Zesto (releasing album on ShadeTek), E.Coli (who has released multiple records over the past few years) and OptimisGFN (of Komadose).
