Dr. Dre is about to release his album "Detox" in 2006 and The D.O.C. currently is writing rhymes for "Detox." "The whole family is gonna be on there," Scott Storch said. "If not the last Dre album, this is gonna be one of the last Dre albums we're gonna get. So he's putting a lot into it. It's just a matter of making a classic experience" .

Radix (Quite Nyce & Seek) werden ihre Debut-Album mit dem Titel "The Staple" im Januar 2006 über Abstrak Recordings veröffentlichen, nachdem sie bereits im letzten Jahr die EP "From the studio to the stage" auf den Markt geschmissen haben. Gefeauturet werden u.a.

Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter may be making a bid to buy The Source magazine.

The rumor shouldn't be shocking to those close to the rumor mill, but the talk has steadily gotten louder, especially after music mogul Steve Stoute interviewed on Hot 97 yesterday (Nov. 3)

Women's Wear Daily reports that Jay-Z, president of Def Jam, could be joining forces with Lyor Cohen, CEO of Warner Music Group and Stoute, who heads up his own company, Translation Consultation & Brand Imaging.

Previous published reports have indicated that The Source is $16 million in debt, a claim made by Textron Financial Corp, the company's chief creditor.

The company is seeking to take control of the magazine due to disputes over how the finances and the company is being managed.

In addition to Jay-Z, Cohen and Stoute, magazine rival Harris Publications, who owns XXL, may also attempt to purchase the "bible of Hip-Hop" should it become available.

Interscope Records recently purchased a stake of Translation Consultation and Brand Imaging, which has matched Jay-Z with Reebok, Gwen Stefani with Hewlett-Packard, McDonald's with Justin Timberlake and Beyonce with Hilfiger.

Stones Throw Records has been a consistent powerhouse of quality music and 2006 will prove to be no exception. The metal faced villain again prepares to lace the label that pushed his return to hip hop prominence. Yes the rumors are true, Madlib and M.F. DOOM are in the lab right now jamming out the sequel to Madvillainy. And the hungry Madvillain fans won’t have to wait long as the duo announced the release date as first quarter 2006. As more information leaks, UGHH.com will post it up.

You're probably going to see a bunch of fans picking the mothballs off their "Let the LOX go!" T-shirts and pulling them out of the closet. The Yonkers, New York, rappers are so fed up with record-label politics that we may never hear an official group album from them again.
To make matters worse, the group's Styles P. and Jadakiss say that they will no longer put out solo LPs.
"We've been on a promo tour for Sheek Louch's album, and on the bus we just been talking about this sh--," Styles said. "They doing so much bullsh-- to us, and it's like you can't do nothing. It's like you work at a real job like at Key Food and you notice the conditions ain't suitable for you and you ain't really getting nowhere."
So what exactly does this all mean? It means that you'll still hear the LOX on the mixtape circuit, but both Kiss and Styles refuse to record any more solo albums for Interscope Records; and Kiss, Styles and Sheek Louch won't be doing another LOX group album for Interscope either. While they're still down to do guest appearances with other artists, they doubt that their label will clear the cameos. All three LOX members will be focusing more on their D-Block label and grooming new talent, like J-Hood.
"I don't see it as quitting, 'cause we're not quitters," clarified Sheek, whose second solo LP, After Taxes, is due on Tuesday "But we keep going back and forth and it's not getting nobody nowhere. We basically saying, 'Holla at us when you get it right.' It's ridiculous. Now Jada and Styles are going to switch to CEO mode."
One of the main catalysts for their indefinite hiatus, of course, is the LOX's feud with 50 Cent, who is also on Interscope. The group is upset that Ruff Ryders Records CEOs Dee and Waah Dean — whom they've known since their childhood — have been meeting and negotiating on their behalf with 50 without their knowledge and without being asked to do so. The LOX are also frustrated that they have not been able to have a sit-down with the head of Interscope, Jimmy Iovine. They say they've been trying to arrange a meeting for the past five months.
During that time, Jadakiss has been working on an LP he says would be titled Kiss My Ass. Interscope released a Styles single featuring Akon called "Can You Believe It," which is actually one of the hottest records in New York right now. However, Styles' LP Time Is Money still has no release date. The album has been finished for two years and has been pushed back incessantly. Styles said that Interscope recently told him it wanted to finally put the album out this month, but a number of factors caused him to dissuade the company to do so. He explains that the record would have come out without the proper setup, and would have hit shelves around the same time as Sheek's After Taxes, which has been long advertised as dropping November 8.
"They put our backs against the walls," Jada vented on Monday (November 7). "Sh-- ain't right. It ain't panning out."
Styles put part of the blame for his record's delay on 50 Cent's influence at Interscope. 50 has nicknamed himself "Curtis 'Interscope' Jackson" and on records he's warned Jadakiss that he would indeed push Styles' album back. Recently on New York radio, 50 initially denied having anything to do with Styles' LP delay, then hinted that he may indeed have had a hand in its scheduling.
"On the radio he said the building leans when he leans," Styles detailed. "What is that telling me? I don't wanna go to jail. And I don't wanna step on none of these rich people's toes. I don't wanna argue with none of these people and I don't wanna continue to frustrate myself wondering when my album is gonna come out. I'm at a point in my life when I can't be waiting two years for them to drop my album. Why be a slave?"
In the past couple of weeks, 50 has divulged a plan to put aside his feud with the LOX and help Jada make his next album (see "50 Cent Open To Doing Business With Jadakiss, Urges Calm Over 'Murda' Mase"). Needless to say, Kiss said he would never work with 50 Cent.
"It'll be over for hip-hop," Styles said of what would happen if Jada worked with G-Unit. Styles also elaborated that he heard the Ruff Ryders were trying to iron out a deal to put the next Kiss album out with G-Unit, much like how G-Unit and Aftermath released the Game's The Documentary earlier this year.
"The sh--'s crazy. It makes you go, 'This sh-- is crazy,' " Styles said about learning of Dee and Waah's talks with 50. "I don't understand what the f--- is going on. We keep speaking and speaking [to Ruff Ryders] and it seems like nothing is getting nowhere. The sh-- is worse now. They trying to get Jada on G-Unit."
The final factor that is causing Styles and Kiss to step away from the mic is the fact that Diddy still owns a significant amount of their music publishing — the LOX used to be signed to Bad Boy — and they've been unable to sit down and renegotiate with him.
"I don't have no beef with him, but I'm not feeling him," Styles said of Diddy. "He don't want to come off none of that publishing. That's securing your future. That's what's gonna come in later down the line. The direction things are going now, it's going downhill. It's like we almost blackballed and we been fighting through the blackball. He has all this money, he has Justin's [restaurant], Sean John, he throws million-dollar parties but we can't get a piece of our publishing back?"
For LOX fans, there are a couple of bright spots in this whole mess. For one, no rapper retires forever — we've seen that time and time again. And the LOX could always end up at another label home. They've all confirmed that Jay-Z was interested in bringing them to Def Jam, but Styles says Interscope hasn't really entertained the offer as of yet.
Last week, Ruff Ryders refused to comment on its dealings with Jadakiss and Interscope. On Monday, a rep for Interscope had no comment at press time.

Snoop Dogg Brings DPGC Together For New Video

A closed county jail for women is one of the last places you'd expect to see Snoop Dogg at, but that's exactly where he was on Wednesday (November 9), where he was filming a new video for his upcoming album with his old homies, the Dogg Pound (DPGC)...

At Los Angeles' Sybil Brand Institute, Snoop brought back his old partners -- Nate Dogg, Daz and Kurupt -- for their first video together since they reunited early this year. For the Dogg Pound, it's something their all excited about.

"It's a beautiful thing," "We and the Dogg Pound are just mashing and that's how it supposed to be."

Even Kurupt, who left his partners high-and-dry just a year or so earlier, feels as though it was a mistake that he ever left and says it will never happen again.

"It's bomb," exclaimed Kurupt. "We're real family, so it's just like a big ass family reunion, man. As soon as we got back together, it was like it never ended [in the first place]. It'll be a cold day in hell for anything like that to happen again."

On the rainy Cali Wednesday, Snoop, Daz and Kurupt visit a jail to see Nate Dogg, who is locked down -- a concept director Anthony Mandler created for Snoop's single. Wearing an orange jumpsuit, Nate Dogg sings the chorus, wishing he could be together with his friends "Real Soon" -- the video's title.

"Real Soon" is a dedication to all the prison inmates locked down during the holidays or even longer, and is dedicated to one man in-particular, Stanley "Tookie" Williams -- the Crips founder, who is currently on Death Row awaiting execution.

"It's a dedication to Big Tookie, the original Crip," explained Daz. "We just trying to show our support for his situation -- he's about to be executed in December and this is for him."

The Battle Cat-produced single is the first off Snoop's forthcoming Koch Records compilation entitled Welcome To Tha Chuuch: Tha Album, and will also be on the DPG reunion album due in 2006.

Nate Dogg, Lady Rage, RBX, Soopafly, Half-Dead, Mira-Mira and Mykestro, are among those featured on Welcome To The Chuuch, which will be released in a joint venture between Koch and Snoop's Doggystyle Records (see "Snoop Dogg Forms Joint Venture With Koch; Preps New Album").

The album is slated for release December 13.

Our own Lyndon Howard just spoke to incarcerated rapper E-White formerly of Dogghouse Records and he re-affirmed the news from our recent interview with him that he's going to be released this upcoming December 1st!!

So with that said, we'd like to extend a pre-Welcome Home proclamation to E-White...

Just a few more weeks homie, just a few more weeks....

KOCH Entertainment has inked deals with Mid-West record label Legit Ballin Records and Northern California Real Talk Entertainment.

Legit Ballin was founded in 1999 by Chicago rapper Twista and is run by CEO “White Boy” James Frasier.

The label has released four albums, Legit Ballin Vol. 1,2 & 3, with installment #4, The Truth, slated for January 2006 release under the new deal.

“This was an opportunity for two strong independent entities to come together and create a major force in the industry,” Frasier said. “Our partnership with KOCH is just the beginning of great things to come. ‘LB’ has come to prime time with a prime situation and we will present ourselves as the prime independent rap label to contend with.”

Real Talk Entertainment is helmed by Derrick Johnson, who launched the label in 2003.

“I am very pleased to be on board with KOCH,” Johnson stated. “They are a great home for our future product and I look forward to a mutually beneficial and prosperous relationship.”

In 2006, Real Talk will release MC Eiht’s upcoming album The New Season, a collaboration between Layzie Bone & Young Noble titled Thug Brothers and a new album by Brotha Lynch Hung

RJD2: "When any rapper works with one producer, there is so much that can happen that is almost impossible with multiple people doing your production work. Working on the whole album gave me the chance to stretch out, and put a little more variety into the record."

Aceyalone: "Creating Magnificent City was one of my best experiences to date [...] RJ captures musically what I attempt to create lyrically."

Busta Rhymes: Infos zu The Big Bang!

Up to No Good
I’ll Hurt You (Remix w/ Eminem)
Guess What
Coke Dealings (w/ Raekwon & Rah Digga)
Bubble Gum
Where’s Your Money (w/ Ol’ Dirty Bastard)
The Big Bang
For The Nasty (w/ Q-Tip)
Touch It
The Takeover (w/ Spliff Starr & Rah Digga)
Get High
Doin’ It (w/ Redman)

Pioneering Hip-Hop group UTFO has reunited and will release new album next year, according to group members.

The group, which was formed in 1983, is best known for its classic Hip-Hop record "Roxanne, Roxanne” a Top 10 R&B hit in 1985.

"We really decided to do this like a week ago," Kangol Kid told AllHipHop.com. "We had all met up at a benefit and it felt good for all of to be together. So we decided that if we felt like this, we know our fans would enjoy it."

Although they haven't recorded as a collective in years, each member of UTFO has still been actively working with new artists producing and molding their sounds.

Kangol Kid and DJ Mixmaster Ice have also done a few shows over the years to show that although they were not recording, UTFO, which stands for Untouchable Force Organization was still in effect.

"It was crazy, because when [DJ Mixmaster] Ice and I were together on stage, the crowd would go crazy just off of us doing our old stuff," Kangol said. "It was crazy, because even now we still break [dance] and at each show I still do the helicopter with Ice on my head. Now I just have to make sure I take my Geritol [laughs].”

The first single "Get Up and Go" hasn't officially been released yet, but according to Kangol Kid the song will be hitting radio airwaves soon.

Kangol said the song is heartfelt, as it deals with his wife leaving him to raise his three sons alone.

"It really is therapy for me," Kangol said. "Too often, the men get the bad rap, so I felt that it was necessary for me to represent because there are single men out there raising kids because the mom left."

The group will team with original production team and R&B legends Full Force.

"We are really happy that they decided to get back and do a reunion," Full Force’s Bowlegged Lou told AllHipHop.com. "That's our family and we will still be there to help put in any way we can."

Full Force is also in the studio with Ashanti laying down tracks for her Collectibles CD, which is due out in December.

"She is a very talented young lady," Bowlegged Lou said of The Inc.’s “princess.” “The stuff she has on this album is crazy, I am plugging this one, because it's definitely going to be a hot one."

None of the projects had set release dates as of press time.

Big Shouts to Black Wall Street for hitting YOUR number one West Coast news source with this Exclusive news. Sony Urban Music along with Big Ego Entertainment has signed the newest star from the West Coast, G.Malone. The same man who found superstar The Game, Former Aftermath Music A&R Exec Mike Lynn, is behind this signing. Mike Lynn, who has his own label imprint through Sony Music, just inked the Watts native's 1.7 million dollar label deal. Sony and Mike Lynn were so impressed with the grimey Watts rapper that they not only signed him as an artist, but gave him his own label imprint Blu Division.

G.Malone’s debut album The Beach Cruiser will be on Blu Division/Big Ego Entertainment/Sony Music Distribution. As stated earlier, Mike Lynn was the one who brought Multi Platinum rapper The Game to Dr. Dre’s Aftermath imprint, has now saw the same vision and the movement in G.Malone. He was so eager to sign the Watts emcee that he was willing to pony 1.7 million dollars for the deal and give G.Malone his own label imprint. G.Malone, who has been bubbling on the underground nationally, had label offers from Def Jam and The Game’s own Black Wall Street, but decided Mike Lynn and Sony saw his vision clearly for his Blu Division Movement and how he plans to shakeup the rap game.

G.Malone, who is a Black Wall Street affiliate, is still managed by G-Ride and Big Fase 100 of the Black Wall Street. G.Malone’s debut album The Beach Cruiser will be dropping in the 2nd quarter of 2006. He will be dropping the follow up to his smash mixtape White Lightning Sticks before the year is out. The Blu Division Movement is in full swing stay tuned.

A former member of 2 Live Crew has filed suit against rappers Ice-T and Jay-Z, claiming he is entitled to royalties for a song made famous by Jay-Z as part of his top-selling "The Black Album..."

In a filing Monday in U.S. District Court in Manhattan, Marquis Ross claims he wrote lyrics and a beat similar to those featured in the chorus of the song "99 Problems," which eventually was copyrighted by Jay-Z.

Jay-Z's 2003 and 2004 recordings are based on a song by the same name that was released a decade earlier on Ice-T's "Home Invasion" album, Ross alleges. Ross was asked by Ice-T to appear on that track and had performed parts of it before their collaboration, his lawsuit says.

Ice-T put his own name on the copyright but didn't include Ross and refused to pay royalties to the 2 Live Crew rapper until 2005, when he made a "partial payment" of $10,000, the suit claims.

A spokeswoman for Jay-Z did not immediately return a call for comment. A spokesman for Ice-T was out of the office Tuesday and unavailable for comment.

Ross is requesting back royalties and punitive damages.
