Bronze Nazareth's album, The Great Migration, will be dropping in August/September. As he quoted "Migration will be around August/September if these labels get shit moving right". Guest appearances will be a few wu generals, some killa beez, Immortal Technique and some of Bronze's people.

In the meantime, he is dropping a CRAZY hot mixtape, called Food For Thought in early-April (currently about to start mixing it). The mixtape will basically be an album promo for The Great Migration and there will be a limited number of copies available. Only 1,000!

Fat Joe and Jadakiss have sent warning shots through the media to 50 Cent that they will be responding to his "Piggy Bank" dis record. One person hip-hop fans have been wondering about as well is Nas; on "Piggy Bank," 50 makes fun of Nas for tattooing a picture of his wife, Kelis, on his arm.

Of course Nas is an expert in battle rapping, so will we be hearing a song the caliber of "Ether" coming soon from the Queensbridge MC?

Check inside for more...

"I need a good opponent to go after, then it's all good," Nas said with a smile on Friday in New York.

"The game is looking terrible. It's a lot of guys out here, 'CB4' gangstas, making the rap game look bad. Fourteen-year-olds might be believing in these guys, and a lot of these guys that are here are walking train wrecks and they're miserable. I pray for the upliftment of hip-hop, so I'm working on this next album, NASDAQ Dow Jones, coming to y'all real soon."

Nas doesn't have a solid release date for the project, but hinted it may be out as early as this summer.

At the start of Lil Kim's perjury trial Tuesday (March 1) in New York, prosecutors announced that rapper Capone, members of Kim's former Junior M.A.F.I.A. crew and her former friend Damien Butler, whom she allegedly lied to protect, will be called upon to testify against the rapper.

Daniel Gitner, assistant Manhattan U.S. attorney, charged Tuesday that Lil Kim, whose real name is Kimberly Jones, and her personal assistant Monique Dopwell repeatedly lied about seeing Butler and another member of the rapper's entourage, Suif Jackson, open fire in a midday shootout involving rappers Foxy Brown and Capone-N-Noreaga.

Gitner also revealed that jurors will view two surveillance videos that would confirm that Kim and Dopwell left with Jackson and Butler.

The shooting took place outside New York's Hot 97 radio station on February 25, 2001.

According to Gitner, Butler pulled out a handgun and Jackson pulled a machine gun.

The prosecutor said ballistics evidence would indicate that at least six guns were fired during the shootout.

Gitner said the episode quickly escalated into violence after Kim's rival Foxy Brown ridiculed Kim.

After the incident, Kim and Dopwell jumped into a limo and fled the scene, Gitner alleged.

Kim's lawyer, Mel Sachs charged that when Kim was interrogated before a federal grand jury two years ago, prosecutors pressed her to answer numerous questions to the best of her knowledge.

Stating that surveillance videos would not persecute his client, Sachs claimed that Kim was thrown to the ground and shoved into her limousine, "frightened, scared, and shocked," according to reports.

Prosecutor Cathy Seibel also revealed Tuesday that Kim allegedly lied under oath after the government granted her immunity from prosecution.

Andre 3000 of multi-platinum supergroup Outkast is a featured player in the John Travolta film Be Cool, which opens Friday (March 4). In the music industry comedy, which is a sequel to Get Shorty, Andre plays rapper Dabu, who is a henchman of sorts for Cedric the Entertainer's record producer character. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray, who has helmed the Negotiator, the Italian Job, and A Man Apart.

Andre says that director Gray -- who directed the Outkast videos "Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik" and "Ms. Jackson" -- saw his potential as a film actor and asked him to play the role. But while Andre says he loved the script, as a hip-hop artist he wasn't anxious to play a rapper. So he had a talk with Gray, who explained that he'd actually be playing against type.

"But I just didn't like the character because I was trying to break into film and I didn't want to be an entertainer and play a rapper, and I explained that to him," Andre said. "But he said, 'Well really, you gotta look at it like you're playing a rapper but it's against type. People don't really see you like that, you know. And really what you're doing is you are playing a parody of what people think rappers are.' So I said, 'Yeah ...'"

Andre recalls that Gray also told him he shouldn't miss out on the chance to be in a film featuring not only Travolta and Cedric, but Uma Thurman, Vince Vaughan, The Rock, Cristina Milian, Harvey Keitel, and Danny DeVito.

Once Andre took the role, he says he had to get used to his character's wardrobe, which included multiple chains and low-sagging pants. A style icon who has been named best-dressed man in the world by Esquire, the fashion-forward Andre says he hated the Be Cool costumes for Dabu.

"I hated my wardrobe coming to work every day, I really did," Andre added. "And actually sometimes Gary had to tell me to sag my pants even lower because I was still trying to hold it together and make it look right. But it was true to character."

Andre is also set to begin shooting a film with Mark Wahlberg and Tyrese that was originally titled Four Brothers. John Singleton is directing.

Jayo Felony "Weak Arm Wobbly" (Diss)

"Styles I need you to come through and get this new diss song", said Jayo Felony on the phone to me earlier. Jayo diss tracks are nothing new to this site especially since he released two well known diss tracks thru WestCoastRydaz.com in 2004. However, when he revealed his latest target thats when my attention was completely grabbed. The target? Xzibit and Strong Arm Steady!! Including fellow South East San Diego area rapper Mitchy Slick!

"Oh shit", was the thought that ran through my mind.

I had been trying to interview Jayo for the past few weeks because we've been talking about promoting his upcoming album "In The Trenches" which is coming out no later than June on Treacherous Records/Universal. So with little time to spare I called up the homie Junior since we were meeting anyway and he picked up some video cameras and we headed out to Hollywood to meet Bullet Loco to get his words.

We spent about a good 25 minutes for the interview in which he explains this diss track aimed at Strong Arm Steady.ü "I am tired of Back-pack/Gangsta Rap. Thats fake shit", said Jayo during the interview. Jayo also said that Mitchy Slick has been saying that "he" (referring to Mitchy) was the hardest rapper to ever come out of San Diego, and so that was a subliminal diss towards Jayo. As for the Backpack/Gangsta rap, Jayo explains that he feels that the Strong Arm Steady group has been trying to cross over into Gangsta Rap unjustifiably so.

Just some other newsworthy points in the interview:

*The beef with East Coast Legend Jay Z was squashed mutually by both artists.

*He is for ending his beef and differences with Snoop Dogg. Stated that Snoop hasn't been running his mouth on him, but said otherwise about Snoop's cousin Daz.

*Will be releasing a new mixtape in a couple of weeks called "Fuck All Y'all Volume 1" and that the "Weak Arm Wobbly" song is from that Mixtape.

*The Album "In The Trenches" will be out no later than June of this year. Its completed, mixed and being pressed up.

We were also able to get a listen on the new album, and it has a strong Hard-Core Hip Hop feel to it with amazing lyrics. Its going to get love on both coasts (Even Bushwhick Bill was giving it huge props tonight at the studio).

With that said, here is the song as promised...Not in 128 quality.. Not in 192 quality...but even higher!!

We have all the respect in the world for SAS and for Jayo Felony. These things just happen here on the West Coast....ya know?

Planet Asia Update

After years of having label drama and politics halt their success, Planet Asia & Walt Liquor have taken matters in to their own hands by founding Gold Chain Music. Gold Chain Music promises to be a trusted and reliable source for great music. With Planet Asia as the flagship artist, you can rest assured that GCM will bring FIRE!!!

Soon after being recognized in the 2004 Year in Review as having one of the best independent albums of the year for "The Grand Opening", the powers that be at The Source Magazine continue to show love to the West Coast's finest [Planet Asia]. Ryan Ford pens a compelling piece on the Best Side titled "West, West, Y'all" that brings light to the many faces of West Coast hip-hop. Planet Asia is quoted heavily throughout the article. He is surrounded by hip-hop legends like, Ice Cube, E -40, and 2Pac. You can see him between Guerilla Black and The Game in the two-page spread. Pick up March 2005 issue of The Source and read on.

Planet Asia livens up the new EA Sports release NFL Street 2. P.A. hooked up with L.A. based production team Da Riffs (whattup Abby) to create the track "Move" for the video game. Video game music is the way to go this year. P.A. joins an all- star lineup of artists such as; Sum 41, Royce Da 5'9, Xzibit, M.O.P., Mase, Papa Roach, Nas, & Yin Yang Twinz, Yung Wun, DMX, Lil Flip, and David Banner.
