Zitat:
Incarcerated rapper Mystikal is eligible for parole in Dec. of this year &
has already begun plotting his rap comeback. "He's being treated real
well, using the time to re-focus on some things," a source told
AllHipHop.com. "He's got over 20 new songs written." Mystikal was
sentenced to six years in prison for assaulting his former hairstylist.

Yes, it’s been awhile since our last correspondence, but
that only means we’ve been busy putting together powerhouse
projects. Next on deck is "Rebirth Of A Nation" by the
legendary Public Enemy, which is currently in production by Paris.

While on the topic of Public Enemy, there is currently a lot
of discussion about the impact that VH1's "Strange Love"
reality show is having on the group and it's legacy. Our
official position is that Public Enemy is one of the most
influential and inspirational hip-hop groups ever, and no
show can diminish the group's impact - although the network
is trying.

While Flavor Flav is a grown man and responsible for his own
actions, it's worthy to note that VH1 (and its sister
station, MTV) have a history of not supporting
message-oriented music, even though they openly embrace
corporate-chosen artists who damage our communities with
negative images and messages. The "Strange Love" show is
little more than an attempt to indirectly discredit the one
group most relevant to the Black Experience in hip-hop.
They produce that reality show and support its buffoonery,
but don't support conscious music. Sad, but true. Know the time.

Understand our focus at Guerrilla Funk is strictly
quality-oriented, and we don't play that dilution shit.
Like the anti-Fox News, we give you Hard Truth, all the time
- and Bomb-ass Hip-Hop is the vehicle.

It's on - from the most dangerous label in music...

Check the new artist pages (with videos and audio files) at
www.guerrillafunk.com for more new music info

Tonight, myself and staff member Prof. Smeek met with Lil Eazy the son of the late legend Eric "Eazy-E" Wright to talk about his upcoming album and other issues.

Although I would like to wait for the interview to drop to give you the big big news, I felt that I needed to share it with you all so you can know first!

Dr. Dre and Scott Storch have signed on to produce for Lil Eazy's New Album!. For the name of the album, you will have to wait for the interview.

Earlier I caught up with Eastwood and we had a chance to chop it up. I informed him that a lot of people around the Net are asking about his current status with Death Row Records.

His own words were, "I'm officially off of Death Row however I am also currently in renegotiations with them." He didn't rule out shopping himself around as well.

I will be talking to him some more, so I'll bring you more info as soon as I get it.

Extra für Face:

Zitat:
Kanye West To Pose Nude?

Earlier this week, Kanye West suggested that he should be compensated to appear on the cover of magazines, because his mug drives subscriptions and off-the-rack sales.

While most publications scoffed at the notion, citing it’s a reciprocal publicity relationship for the artist. However, one cutting edged magazine has opted to take the rapper up on his offer.

Playgirl magazine has offered the Chi-town favorite the opportunity to appear in their magazine for a fee if he agrees to pose nude.

To the New York Daily News, West said, “These magazines make money from ads and subscriptions. So if you're putting me on the cover and people are buying your magazine because of me, why shouldn't I get paid to be on that cover? You are going to have to pay me to do magazine covers now.”

Thus, far neither West nor his representatives have indicated whether or not he will accept Playgirl’s offer.

The last rap heavy weight to appear in Playgirl was Big Daddy Kane back in the early 90’s. His hardcore image suffered from his manly revelations.

West recently shot and directed a video for his song “Spaceship.”
