
K.B . was born in Galveston, but grew up in Houston, Texas. He showed an interest in Rap music at the age of 11. He grew on to become one of the hottest rappers to ever come out of Houston. He has worked with artists such as Scarface of the Geto Boyz, 8 Ball and MJG, Lil Ke-Ke, Z-Ro and a host of others. If you didn’t know, K.B. is also an original member of the Legendary street group, Street Military. He joined the group back in 1991. Street Military became very popular in the streets and that’s when K.B began to get a little taste of success.
In the later years, tragedy struck the group when one of their members called Nutt got shot and killed. The group eventually grew apart when another member Pharoah got 50 years in prison. But K.B., Lil Flea, and Icy Hott still record together working on a new album. On the Filpside K.B. is also apart of an up and coming supergroup called Hit Squad. He’s been working on albums with the group and working on his solo albums at the same time. K.B. is a true workaholic in the studio. Since his hook-up with Money Black, Coast 2 Coast Records has been home for K.B. He first hooked up with Money Black back in 1998. They did a song called “Northside” together. K.B. says that they barely even knew each other. Money Black was in the studio working on his solo album for High Power Records. K.B. says, “Later on that night he showed up at the studio and he and Black started freestylin on tracks. They wrote Northside that same night and recorded it. The song eventually went on to gain popularity on the streets, on the radio, and in the clubs.
Now its 2004 and K.B. is ready to Hit’em up with the Hit Squad and carry on his legacySolo releases from K.B.
