Very few groups in the horrorcore genre have been able to establish as unique a sound as the underground legendary Simken Heights. When they first burst onto the Lansing, MI scene in the early 90's, they grounded themselves as original pioneers in a sound that had yet to have it's full potential realized.

When songs like "Blast Blast" and "Slay The Hook" first made their way through the underground circuit in Michigan, Simken began building a loyal fan base in the upper hundreds almost immediately. The raw gangsta vibed production of Cap One blended perfectly with the distinct vocal blend of himself and Mass, creating a sound that had never before been heard in the genre. They had tapped into a groundbreaking, addictive sound that others would later attempt to clone, but never succeeded in duplicating.

Despite many hardships within the Simken camp, including the murder of member J-Rome (Cap One's brother), Simken continued on to push out consistent material for a great deal of the 90's, including Cap One's solo effort "Holywater". The last release to come out of the Simken camp was 2001's "Parafanalia" release from Cap One. Mass is said to have went on to pursue ministry, while Cap was last heard discussing plans for a new album entitled "Can U Save Me". Whatever becomes or doesn't become of the future for Simken Heights, one thing is for sure: The music in this limited edition set is their history, their sound, their empire.

This anthology is a standing tribute to the legacy that is, and will always be the "Eternal Flame" of Simken Heights. When you play each disc, you'll walk down a path of Simken history, witness the musical growth, and re-live the raw energy that got so many addicted to their unique sound.
