- By far, the biggest news bomb of the Gathering, to me, was ICP reuniting with Mike E. Clark. At Saturday's ICP seminar, ICP talked about how they produced The Calm by themselves and then went on to say that in order to complete your life's work, you have to go back to your roots, go back to tradition, and go back to where you started. And at that point, they announced that the new ICP album in 2006, The Tempest would be produced by Mike E. Clark. He hit the stage to a MAAAAAAAJOR pop and well deserved. If you've been reading this site for any length of time, you know how much I've wanted ICP and MEC to work together again.
- The winners of the 6 month long Underground Psychos contest and the newest members of the Psychopathic family are the Axe Murder Boyz. I've seen a lot of hate, but hey, no matter what, whoever won was gonna get dissed. You can't please everybody and as close as the vote was, there was no way to avoid a backlash. Here's my opinion on the whole thing: Like I've said repeatedly, I like PLC and met all them and their crew this weekend, and they're all great guys, cool as shit. But in my opinion, I think maybe they took it a little lightly. They came in and did their thing and whatever. Everyone said PLC was a lock to win, so I don't think they really gave much thought to losing.
AMB came in as the underdog. And if you weren't at the Gathering, then you have no way of knowing this, but AMB worked their ASSES off this weekend. For 4 days, those guys launched a promotion campaign like I have NEVER seen before. For 4 days, barely sleeping, those guys did nothing but push and push and work their fucking asses off to spread their name and their word and try to win votes. I've seen presidential candidates that haven't campaigned that hard. In short, I think AMB won because they wanted it more and worked harder to get it. Don't let anyone tell you hard work doesn't pay off.
- Blaze and ABK revealed during a seminar that the long awaited Drive-By album...is actually already finished! Has been finished and recorded for months, going thru mastering and post-production. No word on when it will be released yet, but the album IS done and they hope to start a Drive-By tour in 2006 and word is you can expect them at the Hatchet Attacks show in Denver next year as well.
- 2 notable releases for 2006 were announced in the Twiztid Mutant booklet. First of all, the long awaited Samhein Witch Killaz album Bloodletting will finally be released. It says "The return of Hektik, R.O.C., and Mr. Bonez!" Hell yeah! And the second is a Jamie Madrox solo album entitled Phatso. People have been wanting a Jamie solo album for years, so this should be awesome...
- JCW World Title changed hands twice. First, Terry Funk won it in a battle royal on Saturday, only to lose it the next day to Mad Man Pondo in a bloody brawl. Pondo's been a loyal JCW wrestler for years, he's earned it.
- Soopa Villainz tracklist:

04. Mr. Club
05. The Van
06. Guided Missles

09. List of Demands
10. Pussy
11. So What
12. I Shot The DJ

The lineup of the group is still sketchy but Violent J and Lavel are both confirmed. The other 2 rumored members are Esham and Shaggy. This isn't confirmed, but...it might as well be.
- There will be a rival group, the Soopa Heros, to square off against the Soopa Villains. The Soopa Heros are rumored to be Twiztid, Blaze, and ABK. We'll find out more eventually...
- A trailer for the Chronicles of the Dark Carnival film series that was advertised in The Calm booklet was shown before Twiztid's concert on Saturday. Basically, the show seems to be short stories based on classic Psychopathic songs (sorta like Tales From The Crypt for juggalos). The 3 stories that we were shown teasers for were "Joke Ya Mind", "Mad Professor", and "Boogie Woogie Wu." All the stories were written by Jumpsteady and produced by SOTA FX.
- Twiztid is trying to get a tour set up with the Kottonmouth Kings in early 2006.
- Purple Show 2 will hopefully be out in early 2006 as well.
UND HIER OFFZ VON TWIZTID.COM!:
Back from the Gathering…
Well yall, this year's Gathering proved to be off the hook! There have been a lot of things already discussed about it via Juggalo sites and message boards but I'm still going to attempt to kick down a quick review so, here it goes.
Day 1- Thursday: entering the Gathering is always a feeling of coming home so to speak, surrounded by Family and friends that you may, or may not have seen since last year and getting ready for a weekend of pure Juggalo power! Alex kicked off the opening ceremony to welcome all the Juggalos and Juggalettes to the GOTJ and then out of nowhere Dark Lotus hit the stage to wreck shop sporting baseball attire complete with bats and all. The set was awesome and they performed a wide selection of tunes from both Tales from the Lotus Pod, and Black Rain, definitely a great way to kick off the weekend. After the Lotus set it was off to Club Chaos conveniently located in the depths of the woods to catch a special live performance from The R.O.C. and he rocked the Juggalos in attendance and put it down for the Gathering for sure.
Day 2- Friday: began for Twiztid with the autograph tent followed by their first seminar, which was riddled with speculation about a new group called Soopa Heroez, apparently during the I.C.P seminar Violent – J shed some light on the Soopa Villainz arch enemies called the Soopa Heroez and that they will be bringing out a release some time in 2006, and seeing how on the back of the forthcoming "Mutant" (vol.2) there's a "SH" logo in the lower right hand corner, chances are that Twiztid has something to do with it. Needless to say Monoxide and Madrox had little to say about the project other than Soopa Heroez never reveal their secret identities so let the speculation begin. The Twiztid seminar was off the hook and mad funny as always and they covered several topics from the Madrox solo, to the forthcoming SWK project, definitely fresh! After the seminar it was time for the show to begin. The night kicked off with Mini Kiss (aka) little people dress up like Kiss singing Kiss songs followed by a band called Mantis who ended up rocking shit for the Juggalos, and then it was time for Esham, the godfather of the wicked shit, to kick his set. Esham kicked a slew of old school wicked shit as well as many new school tracks and it was live as hell. Then it was time for ABK, this was the first year that ABK headlined a night at the Gathering and it was the bomb! ABK's set was complete with gangsters wielding pistols and busting caps on stage at each other and ABK fucking schooled it yall!
Day 3- Saturday: began with 3 hours of straight signing at the autograph tent, then back to the seminar tent for the Twiztid seminar. Twiztid began their seminar with the top-5 questions to never ask at a Twiztid Seminar and followed it up with discussion about the "Man's Myth" & "Mutant" records and even a few quick stories about a fight over some Skittles, and pissing in a Super-Soaker. After the seminar Twiztid began to get ready for their set. 2-Live Crew kicked off the night with their set and naked bitches shaking their asses and shooting whipped cream out of their neden's –wow! After the live porno flavor it was time for our Dead Homie Blaze to take the stage and make it Grundy for the Juggalos. Blaze schooled it this year like none other before. He was even joined on stage by Lavel, Jumpsteady, and even ABK for a live ass performance that will surely be remembered. Shortly after Blaze, Powerman 5000 rocked the house with their style of hard and heavy riffs and they freaked it. Then it was time for Twizitd. Just before Twiztid hit the stage Violent – J, Shaggy, and Jumpsteady came out to debut the new "Chronicles of the Dark Carnival" trailer for the Juggalos and it was very interesting to see how the segments were based on I.C.P songs from Joker's Cards of the past = very fresh! Then the lights fell and the screen started playing the intro to "Man's Myth" accompanied by a visual of the president, aliens, war, and more, that shit was devastating and when Twiztid came out dressed in black suits with ties sporting the new red and black paint the Juggalos went fucking nuts! Twiztid freaked shit, and even had these gigantic Madrox, and Monoxide mascot ninjas out there schooling it too while the screen behind them was playing videos and everything. The set also kicked the return of the Serial Killaz and it was the shit to see them out there with Twiztid again just like old times, all in all Twiztid flipped the script like a buttermilk pancake for the Fam!
(A BUNCH of pictures: head over to Twiztid.com to see em'!)
After the Twiztid set everyone headed over to the seminar tent to peep out Charlie Murphy and he was the shit for kicking off his performance by saying "did Twiztid rip it or what?" dam, could Charlie Murphy be a Juggalo? Regardless, if he is or not he's still a funny mutha-fucker and he's definitely the shit for giving Twiztid props! After Charlie Murphy's stand up flavor it was off to the camp grounds in search of cheeseburgers.
Day 4- Sunday: the last day of the Gathering and it started off pretty slow with some rainy ass weather, but then toward the afternoon it's started to warm up and get all sunny again. Juggalos started to rally up near the stage area waiting for the shows to kick off. Tech N9ne kicked much ass for the Juggalos along with his label mates Big Krizz Kaliko, and Kutt Calhoun, then it was time for Mac-10 to get things gangster for the Fam, and he and his boys did just that, c-walking and everything. Finally it was time for I.C.P to let the Faygo rain on the Juggalos! J, and Shaggy came out and kicked a fucking dope ass set with enough clowns and Faygo to cover the planet, and if for some reason you thought you were gonna be safe and dry they also had a fire hose that shot a stream of Faygo 30 feet into the crowd soaking everybody in sight. It was amazing! Toward the end of the set Violent – J called out all the performers of the Gathering on stage to help throw some Faygo and the place went nuts, there were wrestlers, and Psychopathic Artist, and associates heaving 2 liters like footballs from the stage, what a way to end the best weekend of the year!
Much props to everybody at Psychopathic Records for all the time and effort they put in to make this year's Gathering of the Juggalos one to never forget, and congratulations to the Axe Murder Boyz for winning the Underground Psychos Contest – welcome to the Hatchet yall!
Tomorrow it hits the shelves…
Unless you attended the Gathering of the Juggalos and got you an early bird copy of the "Mutant" (vol. 2) record make sure to get your ass to a record store and pick that shit up on Tuesday. Not only is the album off the hook, but the dvd that comes with it is pretty fucking fresh as well, featuring the Purple Show preview and the making of the Mutant video, not to mention the video itself - I have not taken it out of my dvd player yet– you have been warned!
