Zitat:
We dropped tracks from 1999 until. Consistantly. Flo Mob had a real nice street buzz with "What U know about the wood". Sam Houston Boys had put in a lot of work then also with "Only Way to Shine" and many others. Big Scar and 25 Mafia also had a couple singles "Let a Hata Go" and another. Mc Fatal was working with them and Kompound Records. Set 4 Life had Dok and EJ's ATX anthem with "Down in Austin". CKC had a lot of work also. Albert over at ATV had built a nice following for his label also. Nook, Smackola, Bavu Blakes and MC Overload was creating a solid buzz also. BlackSunz had one of the hardest hustles to date in ATX. There was solid fanbases built then but a lot of those guys that paved the way to create a scene here aren't around anymore to reap any benefits. And a lot of these new wave guys don't care to know their history either because if they did they would understand that running this city isn't anything spectacular. Make money and seek knowledge because just like a lot of those dudes named in 10 yrs you to can dissapear. Me and Pimpin made it through because we learned the game and continued to roll not settling for being local artist. Good luck and much love.

P.S. If any of those cats heard you say you ran Austin or was the KING they'd ask you where were u when The White Brotha was 1 of the only DJ's spinning ATX music? Probably still in POP Warner. I was a junior in high school and had 1 of the HOTTEST tracks in the city. Get out of the city and stay focused. Oh yeah. *Food for though* We 12yrs deep. Its Survival of the Fittest!

Zitat:
Set 4 Life used to put out 4-track CD's in the late 90's, those were the shit at my middle school. They were on the same level of popularity as the Flo Mob tape at that time, which was pretty big.

The Deck Boyz, lol. Wonder who remembers them cats from the southside? They had albums out.

Greezo from C.O.D. had an album out called "Street Politics" under the name LJ. Everyone in the hood had that. Had to be early 2000's.

There was a group called the Shock Boyz, they had a self-titled album with Lil' Flip on a feature around the time that HSE album with Flip was droppin'. Probably, what.............1999? I don't know if they were from Austin or Houston but a lot of cats had that CD and they were at all the shows, so I always assumed they were local. It sounded pretty much exactly like the Sam Huston Boyz and 25 Mafia stuff.

Young Teka and Dat Boy Mikee both had albums out back in 2000/2001.

Latinmade (Trampia) had a gang of shit out in the late 90's and early 2000's. All those groups that were down with him. They also branched out into Drunken Flow records with Gilly and them, they had an album out back in like 2000.

Southside Trend Settaz. Big Jay and Taz. They had albums out in the 90's, until they got locked up and Taz turned state evidence. "Locked down, with nowhere to goooooooooo" lol, who remembers that shit?

Before he was a battle rapper, Phranchyze was with a group that had a lil' street tape out. There was a song called "16 bars" on there that had some hype behind it for a minute. Back when Phran lived in those apartments off Manchaca.

From like '99-'03, everyone had those first Public Offender CD's off ATV. The ones before ol' dude died.

Jus One had a little mixtape out before he died. Bozzno can maybe correct me on that one.

There was a group called Overdose (or Overdoze) back in the late 90's, I think it was 2 white dudes and 2 mexican cats. They used to put out tapes that were actually really good, it was real dark bassed out three-six style stuff. They had a song called "Glass house" and it was pretty popular for a minute. They broke up and the remaining two dudes actually started callin' themselves Glass House because the song was so hot.

Didn't Brotha K from Magic Video have an album out at one point back in the 90's?

There was a dude named Slim Shady (not lying lol) from Goodrich projects who had a tape out back in like 1995. He had a tongue-twist flow, kinda sounded like BG Knoccout from Ruthless records. When Eminem first came out callin' himself slim shady, I was like WTF? lol. I had totally forgot about dude from the 4.

JJ 2000 and some other cats had a group called "Dove Boyz" or somethin' similar to that back in like 1999. I remember cuz I had a class with this blood cat named Immanuel that was in the group. They had a lil' album out and it actually jammed hard as fuck. It was in some stores. They had stickers/flyers, and for a while you couldn't go anywhere on the eastside without seeing them. Far as I know JJ is the only one from that click still rapping, though.

Muhammad 2G'z had that single "Forever" out that was big for a while. Don't know if he had an actual album.

Lil' Chris from off Manor Road had an album out called "Eastside Killah". He used to walk around that hood with a jason mask on selling the CD, LOL. If you can find that bitch, it is dope as fuck I promise. He had a Brotha Lynch Hung type flow.

Pacman had an album out back in like '98 that had a single on it called "Street Life", they used to play that shit on local radio all the time. He used to sell those tapes in front of the bus stop/Jack in the Box off East Oltorf back in like '97. Back when it was a sea of crips at that spot, lol. Joey Cuba and all them hood legends. Flop house central. Now it's a sea of red there.

I could keep going. I'm just hittin' on the major ones that actually had a little buzz and were out there in physical CD/tape form. It's crazy how much dope stuff was actually out there, but it's only a handful of people that get remembered (Flo Mob, Hogpen, etc).

Was für ne Missgeburt...unfassbar :ugly:
Und sein demonstrativer "Guckt euch mein teures Gebiss gefälligst an" Blick ist an Dummheit echt nicht mehr zu überbieten. Gratuliere :bonk:

Filthy Rich Records häh? Will ich auch hoffen, denn auf legalem Wege werden solche Bauerntrampel mit ihren 2 CD-Verkäufen bestimmt nicht reich.
