BIOGRAPHY Myone, Myth and Symbolyc One (S1) are Strange Fruit Project. Three emcees who continue to set trends as not your typical southern hip-hop group, all hail from Waco, Texas. Each member of Strange Fruit Project sings, raps and is influenced by the constant journey of everyday life. The group has made a huge impact in a short period of time. Through innovative production and creative lyrics their music separates them from many independent artists. Strange's 2004 release, Soul Travelin, was an underground beat banging collector's item which included hip-hop and soul at the root of its origin. Highlights from Soul Travelin; included the singles "Luv Is", "Eternally Yours" and "All The Way". The single "All The Way" was nominated by BBC Radio for 2004 Song of the Year. During 2005, Strange Fruit released the single, "Milk", with world famous emcee Ghostface Killah, produced by S1. This single topped the CMJ college radio charts in July and August of 2005. S1 continued to receive praise in 2005 and on into 2006 due to his producer album with fellow producer Illmind, The Art of Onemind. SFP's 2006 LP, The Healing, is nothing short of a classic, carving out their own niche in this hip-hop game, earning respect as emcees and original songwriters. The Healing includes a young dream team of producers such as Jake One (G-Unit, Lloyd Banks, De La Soul), Illmind (Common, Dave Ghetto, Supastition), 9th Wonder (Little Brother, Jay Z, Destiny's Child, Mary J. Blige) Nicolay (Foreign Exchange) and Vitamin D (Rah Digga, Kardinal Offishall, Black Sheep, Choklate, Blackalicious) just to name a few. The Healing also includes special guests: Erykah Badu, Little Brother, Darien Brockington and singer/songwriter Thesis. Strange Fruit Project Presents S1 - Music Box Zitat: As the second producer compilation from S1, he opens his "Music Box" to a mix of new and familiar talent, as he continues to influence listeners through his own brand of Hip Hop and Soul music production. Comprised with a variety of urban independent artists, "Music Box" provides you with a soundtrack for life. Through various artist's production and beat battle competitions, S1 has carved out his own style and flavor of music. "Music Box" enters into the next phase of the urban progressive movement. The lead single "Mash", features Big Pooh of Little Brother while his other half, Phonte, display's his multi-faceted talent on the classic joint "Callin Me." Inspectah Deck collabs with westside newcomer Blu to maintain their emcee grip on the game from coast-to-coast. Also, Yolanda Johnson, BET J Soul Artist of the Year, announces her arrival and lets you know who she is on the song "Chemistry." The album also features Tone Trezure, Rah Diggah, Darien Brockington, Bavu Blakes, Mojoe, Kay of The Foundation, Strange Fruit Project, Speech (Arrested Development), The Lifesavas, Tanya Morgan and more. Kenne nur "Soul Travellin'", fand das Album mittelmäßig mit "Oxygen" als einzigem richtig hochklassigen Track. Der Rest dümpelt so in "Justus League/ Little Brother" - Manier vor sich hin. |

Hi, Dakey... The Question is: soundtrackinfo hat geschrieben: What is the song playing in the shootout at the strip club with Method Man and Tyrin Turner's crew? The Answer is: sondtrackinfo hat geschrieben: "Swell Up" by Crucial Conflict. ...und zwar in der Szene hier: http://nz.youtube.com/watch?v=ak3_A3WzKCk The Problem is: wiki hat geschrieben: The film contains many memorable dancehall reggae songs that are not included on the soundtrack
...und SWELL UP gehört leider dazu. |

Strange Fruit Project – Laudz M.A.S.K. [EP] http://go.madmimi.com/redirects/201b00bd60a949c6bd270f474993bd40?pa=771345987 Zitat: M.A.S.K. (Making Art Sound Kool) was the first official release from the Waco, Texas trio, Strange Fruit Project, in over 3 years. After a few months they released the acappellas & instrumentals for all the producers and DJ’s of the world. Brazil took notice. Laudz, an up & coming producer representing Curitiba, Brazil, was inspired to add his touch to the group’s release. The remix EP showcases his knack for infectious melodies and larger than life production. There is no doubt Laudz took these acappellas and made them his own. As a member of the Elementality family, Laudz has produced tracks for artists like Silent Knight, MadKem & M. Josephine as part of DJ K.O.’s Living Out A State of Mind EP series.
