Well, today marks the 1st death anniversary of one of hip-hop's greatest producers - Johnny 'J'. Most of the fans recognize him as being the multi-platinum songwriter, music producer and rapper who was perhaps best known for his classic production on 2Pac's albums like All Eyez On Me, Me Against The World, Until The End Of Time and Better Dayz. Johnny 'J' produced more than 150 songs for 2Pac, including some of his biggest hits such as "Pour Out A Little Liquor", "All About U", "How Do U Want It", "Life Goes On", "Hit 'Em Up" and "Made Niggaz" among others. He also worked with fellow Thug Life and Outlawz members, former Death Row inmates like Snoop Dogg, Mc Hammer, Danny Boy, O.F.T.B., and other rappers and r'n'b' singers such as CJ Mac, Bizzy Bone, Mel-Low, Craig Mack, Nate Dogg, KCi & Jojo, Jon B, Tyrese and Val Young. Johnny 'J' was also always helping the up and coming artists as he produced tracks for Lil' Eazy, Imaan Faith, Won-G, T-Jay, Stepachyld and others. He sold over 100 million records over his 21-year music career that began with the "Knockin' Boots" record from the rapper Candyman that was his first major hit.
Johnny 'J' was one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all time and his music will live forever. Now it's up for the fans and the music industry to recognize his talent and put him in the same legendary status with Quincy Jones, Dr. Dre, DJ Quik and other greats..
