Butch Cassidy's Album "Playa Life" Coming In November!

As his legions of fans know, famed artist Butch Cassidy doesn't do anything with less than 110% effort, and he's following suit this fall with the release of his highly anticipated solo album "Playa Life",

Just over a week ago we informed you that the long awaited solo album from Butch Cassidy is nearing release. Despite years in the game and countless appearances on other peoples records, "Playa Life" is Butch Cassidy's debut solo album.

Due for release in November, via Baby Ree/KCP Records and distributed by Fontana/Universal, "Playa Life" will featured guests including Snoop Dogg, WC, MC Magic, Mel-Man, Warren G, Prime, Taje and Damizza.


When he was asked recently about the album Butch explained; "It's been a long time coming [but] I'm putting the finishing touches on it now," as he completed a mixing session at one of L.A.'s most secretive studios, Area 51/Studio 9.

As we already mentioned, the album "Playa Life" will see tracks including; a reuniting of Butch with longtime collaborator Snoop Dogg on the track "All I C",

Exclusive New Butch Cassidy Single ft. Snoop!

We're proud to present the first official single from Butch Cassidy's long-awaited solo debut today! After ripping up the airwaves on Power 106 last week during the "New At 2" segment, the song is now coming to Dubcnn!

The single is called "All I See", produced by Dae One and it features none other than Snoop Dogg! Needless to say, this one is a must-download for any West Coast listener, so get it in CD-quality below

Butch's solo album has been retitled from "Playa Life" to "Gangsta Love", and it's now set for a Summer 2008 release. As the CEO of his own KCP Records, Butch is in the process of signing a new label deal which will be announced shortly.

Butch Cassidy Remakes Tracy Chapman Classic "Fast Car"


Earlier this week we dropped an update on legendary gangsta soul singer Butch Cassidy. In that update we not only recapped some recent music but also told you how, at long last, he is finally free of restrictions that, until now, have prevented him from releasing his debut solo album.

The new album title is the aptly named "First & Last" and today we have been presented with the first single from the new album, we are also expecting an announcment that Butch described as an about "everything that’s been going on and the legal troubles that have barred me from releasing an album until now."

The single has arrived before the announcement and to avoid delay we have it here now for stream and download. "Fast Car" is, as promised, a remake - of the classic track by Tracy Chapman of the same name. The new version is produced by Qura who has worked alongside Rihanna, Christina Aguilera and Beyonce fame.
