Zitat:
Blame One-Finally: The EP released 2002 (vinyl release only)
most song recorded late 90's to the year 2000

http://www.sendspace.com/file/234dkp

This download will be really dope to some, outdated and/or even wack
to others.Fuck it, it is what it is. I recorded this from vinyl
straight to mp3 for the first time. I originally only pressed 500
copies of this on vinyl. It was my first vinyl as a solo artist (my
group mysterys extinction was featured on vinyl before this). I to
this day only have one copy so its very limited. Two songs ended up on
"chemically imballanced" but they were heard here first. I didnt add
any restoration or effects to clean it up, I kept it exactly as is.
Ive always wanted to tell a bit of history behind songs and since this
is free... I figured... why not!

Track#1 Pay Attention-Produced by Exile
I was introduced to Exile in the 90's through a mutual friend that I
went to school with named "Dame" who moved to Orange County and met a
couple heads who went by "Emanon". He played them my music and he
played me the music they were making. We both just vibed. Next thing
you know Exile, Aloe and I are recording a grimy little tune called
"eyes closed" off of Exiles then little 4 track and whatever the fuck
he was using to make beats (it sure as hell was not an MPC, I think it
was just one of those push botton samplers with very limited
time..holla EX!) I can't find my copy of Eyes closed but from then on
I had many recording sessions in Exiles little apartment complex in
Orange County before he moved to Los Angeles. Pay Attention is one of
those joints... listen to Exiles scratchin...my homeboy is a master.
The song itself was supposed to be a tutorial on writing rhymes and
how to technically go about it. Several people used to tell me that my
voice sounded like Lord Finesse at this time period. I still don't
really hear it but its a compliment nevertheless.

Track #2 Excavated-Produced by Exile
This song was actually the first time I ever recorded into a computer
program. I recorded this one at Aloe's house in Orange county before
he moved to Los Angeles as well. I think even Aloe was still learning
the in's and out's of the program back then. Exile had an MPC by this
time and was already putting it to work full fledge. This cut is a
fictional story with non fictional meaning.

Track #3 Emotions- Produced by Exile
I had my man Deja vu from mysterys Extinction over at Exile's house
along with several other cats and we were whylin out (as you can hear
on the song). I really tried to analyze the topic to the best of my
ability in rhyme form and show the different ranges of emotion people
go through (pre emo bitches). Another one that was straight off of
Exiles 4 track tape recorder. Beyond Exiles beat making ability, what
really impressed me was his DJ skills. Dude can cut and scratch with
the best of them.He had mad crates in his room and in the kitchen. We
both had connections with similar cats back in the 80's as
well...crazy!! Side note: all of us left a club drunk in LA about a
month ago after an Exile DJ gig and boosted from 7-11 like we were 16
for the helluv it (the dumb shit you do when you are faded!!) (I
boosted a cheeseburger which was pretty good at like 2 in the morning)

Track #4 Lyrics Geometric- Produced By Kan Kick
Deja vu was and is my rhyme partner from mysterys extinction. His
cousin was Gods Gift. Gods gift was recording with the Loot Pack. Gods
gift first linked us up with Madlib and Ohno and we recorded 3 songs
with them. 2 which were very early oh no tunes. From there he
introduced us to Kan Kick (or we met Kan first, can't remember). We
really bonded and connected with Kan Kick like brothers. This song was
a mid to late 90's recording. We also used to record analong 8 track
or 4 track with Kan Kick and this is one of those sessions. Once a
relatively unknown DJ named Babu had to come through to lend the 8
track.. Kan Kick slid this vinyl to J-Rocc of the beat junkies and he
spun it hella late night on Friday Night Flavas Power 106 which was
really exciting to me because I pressed this record from my own
pocket. I have pretty much recorded countless tunes with Kan Kick.
Dude is a master of his trade for real. I used to bump his tapes that
I recorded from Gods gift long before his first record dropped.

Track#5 Word Majick-Produced By J-A-Y da fallguy
This track was recorded in my man J-A-Y's small ass little apartment
in downtown oceanside on a portable digital 8 track (the start of the
digital recording age). J-A-Y and DJ Shag (who did a few of my beats
on chemically imbalanced) used to have a group. These were talented
cats in the area and they both still make ill shit. J-A-Y moved on to
be part of Blind Siders and Dj Shag moved on to be part of Joint
responce...both dope!

Track#9 Enemies feat. Emanon-Produced by Exile
I put featuring Emanon because Exile did the beat and I had Aloe blacc
on the rhyme and hook as well. Around this time Ex and Aloe put me as
a feat on thier single "what you live for". I was on the b.side "for
what you live (family cut)". This is another song I recorded in Aloes
room at the time. Such a fun and experimental time to be doing music.
Hanging on to the lovely 4 track memories and moving forward into the
digital age.

Blame One - Glass House (Musikvideo)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K9nbweFueqM

Zitat:
You should recognize the track, “Glass House”, off the Leaks & Gemz mixtape Blame released earlier this year to much praise. It was one of the better cuts off that project already, thanks mostly to the MC’s introspective, personal lyrics and Exile’s twinkling piano-laden production. But it’s brought to another level by this great, simplistic video that perfectly complements Blame’s sentiments.

Zitat:
