New Nite Owls Album Progress Report
The NOs aren't losers! We're not! It's true and I can prove it.
We seriously have 5 songs that are in the can (save for some detail work)
• The Broken Arms ( a song about neighbors, good and bad)
• Cakewalk (An upbeat, feel good song about about check fraud)
• Control Freq Pt II (a club banger about self improvement!)
• Idontwanna (a sappy song about playing yourself )
• 20 Blocks Away (a song about a 4 hour vacation)
We also have a couple cuts with guests pending. Mickey Avalon dropped a verse on something for us a while ago which we'll tidy up and include in the tracklist. We also have a song in the works with The King Of Ballard himself, Grynch
I believe that the title we settled on is "The War On Leisure" but I'm still holding out for "Nite Blades".
So, yeah...we only started recording this in September. We've had no moe than 4 recording sessions and we can actually see the finish line. How the heck did we get here so fast?
Wow. Maybe there'll be a new Nite Owls album in time for spring.
TMI: We'll make the rounds with this album and see what channels we have for releasing it. If we can't find a nice fit then we'll do this ourselves with our own spin on the wildly popular Radiohead model.
I'd say expect the album to be a free download for casual listeners and a number of package options for those inclined to purchase them.

Pkg A (Limited to 50 signed and sealed units): Album (with bonus tracks not found on CD or free download) on 12" acetate with 3 color handscreened cover desinged by the band. Copy of the album on CD (Limited run of 250 with bonus tracks not found on the free download or vinyl) in hand screened, signed and numbered Digipack, Hand screened 3 color art poster, signed and numbered and exclusive 2 Color Tshirt limited to this package. - $50
Pkg B (Limited to 100) CD, Regular Nite Owls Tshirt and Poster $20
or just buy the CD for $10 and as mentioned there is of course the free download .
So there it is. New Nite Owls album about 40% done. Feels like we're on a pace to seriously have this out in May if we can wrap it up by end of Feb.

Neues Chicarones Album ist offensichtlich am 10.01.2009 veröffentlicht worden, siehe den Link.
Die Infos werden aber irgendwie nur spärlich gestreut, die sollten das ganze mal wieder zentral über eine Stelle steuern, die Homepage ist ja schon ewig nicht mehr aktualisiert worden...
