Suga T Readies New Album & "The Be About It Project"
A local promotional company and Suga-T of E-40 and the Click unite to bring forth a positive event to both the Modesto and Stockton communities. Suga-T, along with Ms. Toi, most famously known from Ice Cube’s smash hit, "You Can Do It," and Salt-N-Pepa’s legendary deejay, Spinderella, seen recently on the popular VH-1 reality show, The Salt-N-Pepa Show, will be celebrating Spinderella’s Birthday with parties at the Fat Cat Club, in Modesto, California, on August 1st, and Chativas Sports Bar & Grill at the Waterfront, the following day on August 2nd, in Stockton, California. Doors will open at 9pm on both days.
This event is not just a birthday celebration, but it is also helping to support the launch of "The Be About It Project," an organization designed to mother, educate, and keep the peace and unity in the community. Suga-T, Ms. Toi, and Spinderella are all in full support of this project. Not only is Suga-T completely excited about being able to perform her long overdue, new album, "The Game Needs Me," but even more important is the fact that she truly enjoys empowering youth and families through innovative initiatives, and building hope for those who are dealing with adversity through education, recreation, lack of employment & motivation, low self-esteem, and at-risk behaviors.
By creating positive events in the community, and standing in unity and support of this movement, these Renaissance Women join together in alliance to make positive change. "In talking to my manager and advisory team, we started thinking, 'What if we created workshops to connect with people, and the fan-base, to foster a deeper and more personal relationship in an effort to create real change, opportunities, and solutions to issues that adversely impact communities, and help people improve their lives through the platform of music," Suga states matter-of-factly, "Instead of looking at what's wrong in the world, let's look at what we can do to change it through love and respect of all persons; regardless of race, sex, national origin & creed, and work together as the human family to ‘Save Our Planet’."
In addition, Suga-T highlights economic, political & social issues, and provides a forum through her lecture series, for her fans to become, what she calls, "Change Agents," and network to promote action, creativity, courage, and positive solutions for communities.
Suga-T is a nationally known recording artist, entrepreneur, TV personality, and in-demand lecturer, who also holds a Guinness World Record for having the biggest brother/sister duet ever created, in 1995’s ‘Sprinkle Me,’ from E-40’s platinum-plus "In A Major Way" LP.
