Zitat:
West Coast Hip-Hop veteran and producer Big Hutch, also known as Cold 187um, continues his assault against female Hip-Hop artist EVE, former label mate Dr. Dre, Interscope, and Swizz Beatz. As presented in the previous release, Hutch claims to have co-wrote and produced the track. Hutch even called in the Aftermath songtress at the time, Truth Hurts, to sing the hook and assist them in finishing up some other singing ideas they had. The problem began when EVE made the transition from Aftermath to Ruff Rydaz where they took the song “Love Is Blind” and failed to give Hutch credit. Hutch then approached Aftermath to help and assist him in retaining compensation for his involvement with EVE and the “Love Is Blind” song and according to Big Hutch they simply replied to him, “We can’t help you. You have no proof.” Aftermath further explained to Hutch they could not put anything together to help obtain the rights to the song he “helped produce.” Unfortunately, Big Hutch’s misfortunes hindered him from trying to collect what was due him. Big Hutch was serving as Vice President of Death Row Records during Suge Knight’s incarceration, then shortly afterwards, Big Hutch himself was indicted in July of 2004 serving 105 weeks on charges of conspiracy to traffic 1,000 pounds of marijuana and wasn’t released from the Federal Correctional Institution in Forrest City, Arkansas until July 21, 2006. He maintains his innocence to this day. Upon of his release, Big Hutch set to re-establish himself with his West World Records imprint and solo independent release entitled “Fresh Out The Pen” , then in 2008 tried to release another Above The Law album entitled “Victims of Global Politics” and released the single entitled “Doin’ My Thang” with the late K.M.G. and featuring Tha Chill from Compton’s Most Wanted (C.M.W.). That album is being held up by unwilling participants till this day. In 2010, Big Hutch partnered up with independent label Big Shot Music Group releasing “EF U Hutch”, hit single “Lord Have Mercy”, “Only God Can Judge Me” and “From Pomona With Love”. During this time of re-establishing himself, Big Hutch found the original cassette tape in a storage unit that maintains all of his masters since the beginning of his career. Under the advise of a lawyer, Big Hutch will continue pursuit regarding this matter.
