We recorded this album in the 7th month of the year, and recorded it actually in 7 days. Well, all that we needed and shit. Within all that, we got a lot people who dropped in. The Legendary Ike Turner came through and did his thing, claiming he is the King of Rock and Roll. He's letting people know that Elvis used to come watch his show. We got Roscoe, which is Kurupt's little brother. We got Pimpin' White Folks from Pimps Up Hoes Down to let people know that he is the coolest of the coolest white dudes on the planet. He knew the pimps were makin' a record, so he had to be down with it. We got Yo-Yo. She'll be on the Rick James track. Oh yeah, we got the King of Punk Funk on their, Rick James came through to express his feelings about how every human being needs to be high everyday of thier life or they are wasting it. Chino XL came through. Flava Flav from Public Enemy was cheering Keith and me on while we were cussin' out the industry. Oh shit, Jewel. She came by and laced us right through to the end. Most of all we collaborated with Lench Mob, Chilly Chill and them. We formed this new thing and it sounds really different because it's the first time people are going to actually hear Kool Keith with a sum of different people, nobody has ever heard him like this before. We still didn't leave what he is. We have that incorporated with everything. It sounds damn great.
We also got a DVD coming with the project. We gonna have some porn stars in Keith's lineup this week and let him pick who he wishes to work with. All the guests that I mentioned are all on the DVD already. I think people would love to see White Folks at the cleaners. It's crazy.
This album is going to be coming out on Funky Ass West Records. Keith and I did a deal between ourselves. A two album deal. The first record we release will be 7th Veil. The group is 7th Veil and the album “The Business is 7 Days.”
Oh yeah, how could I forget? We got Ice-T droppin' in. He called me from Spain saying he wanted to be down with the record. We gonna do a track with him that is going to be like a “6 in the Morning” type record, going way back to '85 with the 808s with the original hip-hop type sound. That will be the last record we record. My nigga. We gonna get him on their. Plus, we are flying out on the 31st to Hard Rock Café. There is supposed to be a big pimp ball out there. So, we gonna record that last track on knock it out in Vegas and all that.
So, we got the King of Rock and Roll on there. We got the King of Punk Funk on there. It's real cool collaborating all these crazy motherfuckers with Kool Keith because he's already crazy. Just putting this whole thing together was great. I think this is what they were really waiting for.
We were going to do a double album, but shit got all crazy. So, we are going to release 15 songs and release another 15 songs within the next two or three months after it. I think people will be happy to know that the record is tight. Motherfukers are getting dissed on this record. Names are being called. Nobody is hiding their feelings. They are really letting people know what they really think about this fucked up industry and what is going on within it. The whole “Jim Crow Era” of blacks acting stupid, we are really speaking on it. We are just vibing on some real shit, how to get money, and real life. Just like reality TV, its reality records. Ain't no lying. We got no time to be talking about the projects being nice place to live and all that bullshit. We are just keeping it real and speaking the facts. Its gonna be the truth. 15 songs of truth.
We are trying to get it out there for back to school. You know, for the college kids to take this back to school. I would have said the kids, but it's really not a PG record. Not like Mase. If you like Mase and Puffy or Jay-Z, this is not your type of record. If you want reality and you want to know what is really going on the fuck around you, then this is your type of record. It's definitely not a Mase record, I guarantee you that. It's not an Outkast record. It's none of those things. No bojangling going on. No one is doing dance. We are rappers. We didn't go to dance school or art school. There are no art school students in the group. We found out that Marc [Live] was an art school student, so we said the hell with him.
The flava is really great. Keith really did his thing on “The Prince of New York.” He's really expressive. It's really fly. I think the world is going to appreciate it. Just hearing Keith finally doing something that he really cared about. He was so bitter from the game and shit. I think, what really made him care was that he was finally working with people he liked. He's finally doing something he likes and enjoys. I just want everyone to know that its coming, it's fucking hard, and it's not sloppy. Names are being fuckin' called. Niggas want to step up, then step up. It's like that.
This album is going to be 10 bucks a record. We are selling dime sacks in record stores. We also hooked up with 101 Distribution.
