So, jetzt, wo der Hype um das Black Album schon laaaaaaange vorbei ist, kann ich ja endlich mal nen Thread dazu posten. Sowas gehört sich als regelmäßiger "Zuspätkommer" Als denn, zu den Highlights gehört wahrscheinlich "The Grey Album" von DJ Dangermouse", der, wie wohl bereits bekannt, Elemente vom "White Album" der Beatles benutzt hat, um für Jay-Z die Beats zu schrauben und dafür auch direkt von EMI verklagt wurde, da diese die Exklusivrechte am White Album besitzen und das garnicht lustig fanden... Ich persönlich fands cool, hab diverse Ratespiele mit zig Leuten durchgeführt, die in der Beatles-Zeit aufgewachsen sind. Die fanden das alle prima... tja, was soll man machen. Ansonsten würde ich dafür aber niemals $100 ausgeben. Habs in Hannover für 15 Euro gekauft Es handelt sich um das Original... nur so nebenbei... So, dann gab es da noch das "Purple Album" in Anlehnung an Prince's "Purple Rain", Das "Double Black Album" mit Metallica, das Jay-Z vs. Rjd2-The Silver Album (auch sehr cool!!!) und viele andere. ich persönlich finde noch das "White Albulum" extrem gelungen. Dieses ist von Kno von den Cunninlynguists geschraubt worden, der meiner Meinung nach einer talentiertesten underground-producer z.Zt. ist. Mann gebe sich die Excrementals-Serie von ihm, auf dem seine Beats compiliert sind und man teilweise auch die Samples zu hören bekommt, aus denen er die Instrumentals gezaubert hat!!! ich kenne nur The Bloody Red Album mit Beats von Necro, das finde ich langweillig und das Grey Album, das finde ich um einiges besser und interessanter als das Original, fande das Original nicht so berauschend.

Tja das hab ich mich auch gefragt, als ich das gesehen hab... Also wie gesagt, "The Silver Album" mit den Rjd2-Instrumentals, "The White Albulum" von Kno (Cunninlynguists) und "The Grey Album" von Dangermouse sind Highlights, die hab ich auch selbst gehört. Das "Purple Album" mit den Prince-Beats könnte noch ganz interessant sein, aber sonst... ich weiß auch nicht, was in die gefahren ist...

Kann den ganzen Hype um alle diese Remix-Album nicht ganz nachvollziehen. Mir hat schon das Original nicht gefallen und das jeder es offensichtlich als zum guten Ton gehörig empfand von der Scheibe einen Remíx auf den Markt zu schmeissen, hat meine Begeisterung nicht gerade gesteigert. Das Pete Rock Remix Album habe ich, das fand ich richtig schlecht, da passen die Beats überhaupt nicht zu den Raps von Jay-Z, kann mir fast gar nicht vorstellen dass Pete Rock das autorisiert hat.

Jay-Z droppt angeblich im Juni seine neue cd mit produktionen von dr.dre, just blaze & kayne west. hab das hot97 audio gesehen, die haben des erzählt. wer weiß ob des stimmt
