DR. OCTAGON: C’mon, you know this one.
DR. ULTRA: He was Dr. Ultra in the “Five Deadly Venoms” Sprite commercials.
DR. DOOOM: He created this character with sick rhymes and a goal of killing Dr. Octagon.
BLACK ELVIS: Dr. Dooom’s twin. Created for the Columbia Records album.
POPPA LARGE: He’s Poppa Large, big shot on the East Coast.
MR. GREEN: He used this alias on the back cover of Ultra’s Big Time LP.

Das Thema hatten wir innerhalb des Threads schon mehrfach. Liegt schlichtweg daran dass er (angeblich, ich habe es nicht nachgeprüft) nach LA umgezogen ist, sich eh immer mehr an dem Westküsten-Sound orientiert und sich meiner Erinnerung nach in Interviews auch von New York und der EC losgesagt hat. Ist aber letztlich ja auch egal wo der Thread eingeordnet wird...

Im prinzip ist es wirklich egal wo er herkommt - New York ist er definitiv aufgewachsen, lebt zur zeit, also schon 3 Jahre, wieder dort. Seine Music ist eh nicht East-West-oderwieauchimmer einzuordnen.

am 21.03.07 Kool Keith mit KutMasta Kurt im Cassiopaia -

hat Kurt gestern geschrieben, und da Keith seine letzten Konzerte alle wahrgenommen hat(wie auch im Dez. inner Livestation DO), steht dieses zu 95% fest !!! Keith hat seinen alten Manager seit nem Jahr nicht mehr somit ist auch damit mehr Sicherheit verbunden, dies für alle Skeptiker ;)

Am Samstag war Kool Keith in Berlin im Cassiopeia und ich muss sagen
er selber war ne ganz bittere Enttäuschung.
Hat bei all seinen Parts versucht zu freestylen und das klang dann
in etwas so:"Ey yo you know the kid is nice, you know the kid got flow,
I'm feelin hyped, you know I fuck a hoe...yo...I'm pro...".

Und wer jetzt noch denkt das klingt doch nach gutem alten Kool Keith
Anti-Rap...neee...wack war's....ganz gegen Ende hat er dann mal einen Text gerappt,
wo man dann sehen konnte wie es sich eigentlich anhören
kann.

Wer es aber rausgerissen hat war Motion Man...der eigentlich auch wie der Hauptakt des Abends rüberkam was auch Kool Keith am Ende
zugegeben hat und Scherzchen gemacht hat wie "I'm now officially his Backup-Rapper", bla, bla.
Zu geil der Typ...geiler Style & gute Bühnenpräsenz.

Ich hab Kool Keith extrem ausgebuht am Ende und Motion Man gefeiert...bei 20 EUR Eintritt war das echt ne Frechheit.

Keinen Plan ob er keinen Bock hatte, seine Texte gar nicht drauf hat,
sich für so unfehlbar genial hält, dass ihm auch die wacken Freestyles geil vorkamen oder er einfach alt geworden ist. :notsure:

War trotzdem ein cooler Abend...Stylewars hat noch später aufgelegt und nochmal die typischen 90er Jahre Party Songs aufleben lassen.
Von Cypress Hill über Redman bis Nirvana war alles dabei.

War denn auch so wenig los da? Ouverohr hatte mir geschrieben dass er ein paar Tage vor Dir auch auf einem Motion Man/Kool Keith Konzert war (denke mal in Hamburg) und da waren nur ca. 60 Leute. Er war aber auch sehr angetan von Motion Man, hat wohl auch dort eine ziemlich gute Show geboten...
