Gerüchteweise soll am 08.03.2005 ein neues MF Doom Album namens "Live from Outer Space" auf Nature Sounds erscheinen, nähere Infos gibt es noch nicht.

showtime! The promised Pomona City Ridaz interview, well it's more on some Mini-Movie type shit, is up now for ya'll to download! Running time is 35 minutes, ride with the Ridaz through Pomona and Hollywood, hear exclusuves verses from their new album and the deal with True Crime, True Crime Vol.2, their new album "Transfer Of Power", and much more. We were all pretty drunk/high that night, so it's really hilarious to watch, see Pimpin' Young live in action with his hoes, Ha Loco clownin' when the security guard comes to tell us the cops are on their way, opening a mini-bar in Pimpin' trunk, and so much more. It was one of them nights, smoking kush and clowning.

Tuesday night at Battery Studios in Manhattan, Fat Joe was singing, dancing and get, get, getting it poppin'. Joe, who was playing joints from his new LP, explained that he felt his career and the climate of rap were taking such a serious turn that he's changing the title of his album from Things of That Nature to All or Nothing.

Another change for Joey Crack is that his long-talked-about solo LP has been pushed back one more time to April 26 due to some wheeling and dealing. His "Hold You Down" duet with Jennifer Lopez will now not only be on her Rebirth album, but on his disc as well (see "Fat Joe Nearly A No-Show To Flow With J. Lo"). Joe also went back in the studio and recorded about six new songs with producers Cool & Dre.

He's finally decided on an official first single: "So Much More." It's another heater for the clubs and finds Joe promising to make your hair stand up like "Growing Up Gotti" and referencing actress Brigitte Nielsen, minister T.D. Jakes and Snoop's "Drop It Like It's Hot," all in a jovial manner.

"I know you came to party, so get up on your feet," he raps on the chorus. Later on the hook he pays homage to Roger Troutman, singing, "I know you been searching for someone who satisfies you and gives you so much more."

Coming down the pike after "So Much More" will be "Get It Poppin" with Nelly, a call-and-response number on which the ladies agree to "get, get, get it poppin'."

Erscheinen wird das ganze über das New Yorker Label Nature Sounds Records, die letztes Jahr mit der Veröffentlichung einiger Alben u.a. von Vordul Mega, R.A. the Rugged Man und Masta Killah ein wenig Aufmerksamkeit erregen konnten. Das ganze hört sich recht vielversprechend an, hoffen wir mal das dass Projekt nicht eines der unzähligen sein wird die leider nie das Licht der Welt erblicken werden.

Und Ja Rule direkt mit Festnehmen wegen Erregung öffentlichen Ärgernisses durch seine quälende Musik...

More than six drama-filled years after the release of her Grammy-winning solo debut, it looks like Lauryn Hill's sophomore studio album is finally nearing fruition — with a little help from Kanye West, perhaps.

The pair have collaborated on at least two songs, and while it isn't certain that the collaborations will make the album's final track listing, given West's spiritual slant, the producer seems like a perfect fit for Hill, whose music has taken an ethereal turn in recent years.

Still, the pair's collaboration is somewhat ironic, considering that West sampled a Hill song for the original version of his track, "All Falls Down." The then-relatively unknown producer couldn't get clearance to use Hill's performance and re-recorded the song using singer Syleena Johnson.

Representatives for West and Hill could not be reached for comment.

Hill's last studio set, 1998's The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, won five Grammy awards and turned her into a household name. However, rumored turbulence in the singer's personal life contributed to a long delay in the release of any new music.

The silence was finally broken in 2002 with MTV Unplugged 2.0, culled from an MTV special of the same name. The album featured Hill singing spiritually driven, acoustic songs while accompanying herself on acoustic guitar (which she'd only recently learned to play). The songs' lyrics reflected the religious and at times mystical bent that some of her comments to the media had taken. The singer's behavior has been unpredictable in recent years (see "Lauryn Hill Attacks Catholic Church At Vatican Concert" and "The Misvaluation Of Lauryn Hill: $15 Music Video Posted Online").

Recently, Hill has turned up to do a series of live performances and even reunited with the Fugees last year for Dave Chappelle's Block Party, which also featured West (see "Chapelle Throwing A Block Party With Kanye, Lauryn, Others"). While talk of a Fugees reunion album has been constant, fellow Fugee Wyclef Jean has often said that any group material would come only after Lauryn has finished this album (see "Wyclef Addresses AIDS Problem In Haiti, Sees 'Great' Future For Fugees").

West has had a remarkably busy schedule in recent months. The producer has worked with Mariah Carey, Common and Twista, among others, on their upcoming projects. He also tried his hand at directing John Legend's new video, "Ordinary People."

West has also been hard at work on his own sophomore release, Late Registration. He has already enlisted the help of John Mayer for the set, which is due this spring (see "Kanye West And John Mayer Collaborate But Won't Elaborate").

Damon Dash held a press conference yesterday to announce his new partnership with boxing promoter Lou Dibella. The mogul also announced the launch of his new music company The Damon Dash Music Group.

At the press conference held at Dash's posh NYC nightclub N/A, the self-proclaimed Cake-A-holic told the crowd of beaming reporters, artists, models, althetes, politicans, friends, and family that he had teamed up with noted boxing promoter Lou Dibella to form Dash-Dibella Promotion. The men will work closely together to promote their boxing collective referred to as "The Chin Checkers," which includes newcomers Curtis Stevens, Andre Berto, Gary Starks, and Jaidon Codrington.

Dash also announced the start of his own music company The Damon Dash Music Group which will allow him to create smaller imprints under its umbrella.

Dash said, "I put to together, with the help of my partner Biggs, The Damon Dash Music Group, distributed right now by Universal. And with that I have the opportunity to give labels, to give artists the opportunity to make their music but also benefit from it, give them a chance to be a boss, give them a chance to have vision. I would never empower anybody unless I thought they would be positive for our culture , our community, and represent and most importantly to be profitable.

Famed producer 7 Aurelis will head up The Dream Factory, one of the first labels to be launch by the music group. "I have a vault of over 200 records that, I've made over the last three years, most of which have been the best work of my life."

The Damon Dash Music Group will also hand out label deal to Wu-Tang's The Rza who will release Ol' Dirty Bastard's posthumous LP. Also Noreaga will land a deal for his Militainment Music, and M.O.P. will release projects on their label First Family.

Tray Deee Getting Out This Year?

My homie Hu$tleboy Floyd just hit me with these good news. Word is that Big Tray Deee, who's been incarcerated for over a year and a half, might be getting out late this year, around the same time that E-White is getting released (E is coming out Dec. 1st). This isn't official news, but it's coming from a credible source, so let's all hope Tray Deee comes back to us soon and blesses us with some more rhymes in 2006!

Foxy Brown and Remy Ma face off. Rumors are spreading that Remy stepped to Foxy inside Island Def Jam/Universal's offices earlier this week. The Terror Squadian apparently made Fox lean back when she punched her in the face rehashing a past feud between the two femcees. Though Fox was with security at the time, word is her bodyguards didn't intervene, but did help her to the elevator and took her outside

Westcoast Rydaz would like to send out our condolences..TJ "Young Grinn" Grinner was shot and killed last night (Friday, January 28th) in Rohnert Park, Ca by the Rohnert Park Police Dept. He made such hits as "Defenition of a Hustla" and "The World in My Eyes" and was apart of the Link Crew alongside members Ray Luv, and Ant D.O.G.
