Topping off a break-through year and proving Hip-Hop has never been more alive rap artist SWORDZ releases his highly anticipated official street album to an eagerly waiting fan base for the Christmas season. Much more than a mixtape and previewing his future debut release, the 22 track full length "Official Street Album" delivers exclusive songs, interviews, freestyles, and features targeted at SWORDZ's core street audience who have been asking for new material to drop. 2.14 Termanology feat: Lil Fame & Papoose - "Watch How It Go Down (Remix)"

n 1996, Brian Coleman (author of "Rakim Told Me" and noted Hip Hop journalist) wrote in CMJ magazine that the God Complex/AOI split 12" single was one of the most refreshing and important independent records that year (the 100 pressed on the green and orange marble wax are coveted). Ten years and eighty releases later, the same upstart label that brought you that split 12", Brick Records, presents "X: A Decade Of Independence."

Surviving a decade in this fickle independent hip hop climate is next to impossible these days. Brick did it pre-internet, pre-international distribution and pre-pro tools. Sounds crazy, yet true. The imprint would lead a resurgence in the Boston hip hop scene and would establish artists to carry on the torch initially lit by legendary acts like Gangstarr Posse, Edo G., The Almighty R.S.O, Top Choice Clique and TDS Mob. Brick Records launched the careers of every notable "new school" act to come out of the commonwealth in the last ten years, most importantly The Rebel Alliance, 7L & Esoteric, Mr. Lif, Insight, Skitzofreniks, Beyonder, D-Tension and currently Raydar Ellis and Termanology.

Not limited to 'Murda' Mass, Brick expanded it's operation and it's wings releasing projects worldwide with a pre-mask wearing MF DOOM, Ras Kass, Scratch (The Roots), 9th Wonder (Little Brother), brooklyn rhyme legend and Wu Tang affiliate Shabazz The Disciple, Mood frontman Main Flow, Louis Logic and super producer Chops (Mountain Brothers). The label would pair up it's stable producers and artists with some of the best in the industry leading to collaborations with Slug (Atmosphere), Cormega, Talib Kweli, Black Thought, Z-Trip, Boot Camp Click, A.G., Jedi Mind Tricks and more right up to the current hit single from Termanology "Watch How It Go Down (Remix),", produced by legendary producer DJ Premier and featuring Lil Fame from M.O.P. and recent Jive signee/Kay Slay protegé Papoose.

"X: A Decade Of Independence" is a celebration of an accomplishment; of a respected history and brand. Seamlessly mixed and blended by the newest and very talented additions to the Brick family Raydar Ellis and Will C. and with precise cuts and scratches by DJ Rugged One, "X" takes the listener on an interesting journey over two discs and 27 of the best Brick has to boast, starting with the first future retro sonics of God Complex's "Strontium 90" right up to the Term and Preemo current classic "Watch How It Goes Down." Thorough and historic stuff.

The heart of a lion, mind of a scholar and hand of a hustler! The perfect ingredients of a Don! Unstoppable, undeniable and courageous enough to attack the industry entrepreneur style! Yes people, we are speaking of no other than the infamous Don Fetti! The streets are talking and the fans are starving for the sequel to his debut release, Before the Fetti. Bred in the streets of Henderson, KY, this young, talented artist is paving his own path to stardom. Fetti has been in the game for 10 years strong perfecting his craft, while building his own empire Federal Fetti Records. In 1996, he hit the scene with his group, The Mobb Bosses. The group bombarded the hoods with that raw, uncut, street music showing early signs of longevity. However, hunger and ambition would eventually force the young soldier to go solo. Fetti began touring independently performing alongside superstars such as, T.I., Young Buck, and Gangsta Boo. Because of his hard work and motivation, Fetti has developed many great relationships. “Im real good friends with Big V (Nappy Roots). We talk often and Ive performed with them (the group). He definitely supports me being that were out of KY”. Fetti has also worked with many other stars like Nakia Shine, Memphis, TN. He has songs with Bone Crusher, Atlanta, GA and Yo Gotti, Nashville, TN. The Don assures us that he will not keep the fans waiting too much longer! The Mid-West mc maintains that the hold up is about business, not product. “Its about timing. I have enough material for at least four albums, but I have to make sure this is done right because Im the CEO now and I refuse to fail or let my team down!” Be on the look out for Fettis new album D-Bricks of the City, in stores soon!

Album in stores mid 2007 featuing Pimp C Of UGK, Young Buck Of G-Unit, Bone Crusher, Big V Of Nappy Roots, Sean Paul From The Young Bloodz, Yo Gotti, Nakia Shine, Jazze Phae, and many more..

Gangsta Rap: The Glockumentary" Out March 2nd -

"I showed the trailer to my friends & everybody was laughing like a motherfucka. They thought it was real" - Too Short

"Gangsta Rap: The Glockumentary" will have its theatrical release Friday, March 2 on nearly two dozen screens in the L.A. area. The feature-length comedy is independently released by Ill Ville Films/Big Business.

Written and directed by Damon "Coke" Daniels, who co-wrote My Baby's Daddy with Eddie Griffin for Miramax, "Gangsta Rap: The Glockumentary" owes its street cred to Daniels' extensive turn in the world of hip hop, during which his group Madkap (Loud Records) toured with the likes of Notorious B.I.G, The Pharcyde, Twista, Common, The Alkaholiks and the Wu Tang Clan. Daniels also served as producer, alongside Craig Chapman, Chris Dreyer and Paul Stewart, who also handled the film's music supervision.

Shot in mockumentary style, with Daniels in the role as filmmaker, Gangsta Rap follows the flickering fortunes of Gangsta Rap, "the hardest group you've never heard of," a trio of old school, West Coast rappers: Murder Mike, Du Rag and DJ Ballistics. Despite run-ins with the law, shady dealings, numerous child custody cases, and a serious slide into irrelevance with the public, these self-proclaimed godfathers of gangsta rap are hell-bent on staging a comeback.

With fresh tracks such as "My Mamma's A Bitch" and "In My House Shoes," Gangsta Rap is angling to re-establish their supremacy. The group originally burst on the scene in the mid-eighties, virtually ruling the West Coast underground into the next decade. Following a slew of setbacks and some vicious in-fighting, the O.G.s put the past behind them to take one more stab at success.

The film features an ensemble cast of both real-life rappers and stand-up comedians, including Howie Bell (P. Diddy Presents...The Bad Boys of Comedy; Jamie Foxx's Laffapalooza), Gerald Johnson (aka, Slink Capone The Cutaluff, produced by Too Short), Schuylar Harvey, Leslie (aka Leslie Jones; HBO's Def Comedy Jam; Girlfriends; National Security) Tomy'a Bowden (The Steve Harvey Show; Dahmer), Clifton Powell (Ray; Woman, Thou Art Loosed) and Sam Maccarone, director of the recently released National Lampoon's TV: The Movie and also features cameos by rappers Too $hort and GLC.

Timbaland Ready To Deliver "Shock Value" In March

Perhaps the most listened to producer of 2006, Timbaland, is ready to claim 2007 as early as March. Already acknowledged as one of music’s most inventive and distinctive creators Timbaland plans to take that to a whole new level on his second solo album.

The new release "Shock Value" will be released on his Mosley Music Group label via Interscope on March 27. The first single, "Give It To Me," featuring Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, is already making waves not only due to its musical brilliance but also cause of the apparent subject matter.

The single seems to feature all three of them going at respective foes - who...we'll allow you to decide - you can listen to the single below.

http://www.dubcnm.com/audio/2007/januar ... ly_furtado)-(dubcnn).m3u

When asked about the album Timbaland explains "My mission is to blow up the boundaries and tear down the limits, I’m taking my music outside of the box. I’m not getting away from what I’m known for; I’m just going to a place where it’s all about the music, not about the labels on the music. That’s why I call it Shock Value - from the artists to the production, it will shock the system."

"Shock Value" is said to be sequenced like a movie according to Timbaland with a non-stop flow that tells a story. Off-the-wall beats, raps, hooks and his signature sound grace the soundscape with the album said to successfully fuse genres from rap and hip-hop to pop, punk pop and garage rock to South Asian influences. The album’s guest artists include Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg to Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado; from The Hives, She Wants Revenge and Fall Out Boy to Elton John (on piano) and newer artists such as Sri Lankan hip-hopper M.I.A. and Keri Hilson - who is signed, as is Nelly Furtado, to Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group.

You can also catch Timbaland on Justin Timberlake's 38-date North American leg of the FutureSex/LoveShow World Tour, which kicked off in San Diego, CA on January 8th and runs through March; check your local area for details.
