B2K Signs Bizzy Bone

Pop boy band B2K has signed former Bone Thugs-n-Harmony Member Bizzy Bone to their new label, Super Fam Records.

"We got a whole lot of artists. We bringing Bizzy Bone back," said group member J-Boog.

He also revealed that singer Ray J was actually signed to their label as an artist not as a member of B2K.

Boog didn't reveal when a release by Bizzy would become reality, but other reports said the untitled CD wouldn't be out until 2005.

Raz B offered additional details on the hip-hop content of Super Fam Records.

"We got our first artist whose name is Sike. He use to be in a group that were the first artists on MJJ Records."

"We are about to change the game up," J-Boog concluded.

New Bizzy Album In May / June

Bizzy Bone's new album will be in stores late May or June on Bungalo Records. The first single is entitled "I Would Die For You" and it should be hitting radio in about 5 weeks. The next release from Bungalo will be the long anticipated Suga Free record "The New Testament" dropping next Tuesday, March 9th.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH U, GOD?

U-God is mad as hell, and he's not going to take it anymore!! In a recent MTV interview, U-God told the network that the main reason the Wu-Tang Clan hasn't released any material in the last few years is RZA.

"Long story short, if you wanna know why the Wu-Tang Clan ain't together, you know who to talk to: Bobby Steels, RZA, Rzarector," U-God told the station. "I learned a lot about slavery. I realized what slavery was. You had them cats that was in the slave master's house, the Uncle Tom cats who'd go back and be like, 'U-God is trying to run over the wall, masta. What do you wanna do?' Before I get a chance to run over the wall, I'd be getting whipped the next morning. That's the way it was going down. Cats was ratting on each other and doing a lot of fish-head stuff."

Federal agents have arrested the attorney of Koch Records recording artist, Turk. Turk (Young Turk of Cash Money and Hot Boyz fame) is currently being held on one charge of attempted murder of Sheriff Deputy, Chris Harris. Initially, the 22 year-old rapper was being held on two charges, as authorities had claimed the Louisiana-based recording artist had shot two Shelby County Sheriffs Deputies. However, the second charge was dropped after ballistics tests showed that the second officer who was wounded at the scene had been actually shot by one of the other police officers present...

Turk’s attorney, Scott Crawford, was arrested Sunday night by FBI agents, who are holding him on charges of obstruction of justice, bribery, attempted bribery, possession of crack cocaine and possession of an illegal handgun. Crawford is being held without bail, a move that seems highly unusual. Those around Crawford insist he is not a flight risk. Crawford’s attorney, Sam Perkins was removed by the court as Crawford’s lawyer yesterday, after the court ruled that there may be a possible conflict of interest. At the time this press statement was written, Crawford had just retained attorney Marty McAfee, who was presently at the Memphis federal courthouse, trying to get his client, Mr. Crawford, out on bail.

Turk’s next hearing is scheduled for March 31, although it is not yet known if the arrest of his attorney will delay that hearing. Turk is currently being held on $750,000 bond.

The rapper’s manager, Leroy Hollins II, is setting up a legal defense fund for Turk, a solo artist, who was previously a member of the Cash Money Records rap group, The Hot Boys. Hollins is maintaining Turk’s innocence. Support has also come from those who are among the Cash Money Millionaires. Another figure in the music business, Gotti’s manager, Artemis “Peppa” Williams, says Turk is “internationally known,” and “Turk was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

A Memphis SWAT team had burst into an apartment where Turk was visiting, while staying in town to record his upcoming album. Feds claim that they were serving a search warrant for drugs. According to Hollins, however, no drugs were either seized or turned in as evidence. Turk says he hid in a closet when the apartment was being broken into by officers, who he said did not identify themselves. He maintains that they began shooting, while he was in the closet. According to a source close to the case, the closet and the nearby wall had been shot at 52 times.

RZA's Antwort auf U-Gods Vorwurf

FROM RZA:

I can't believe u god would twist the truth like that and make himself look like he was mistreated by me or any wu member. As far as no wu tang lp. It is obvious with mentallities such as his existing how can a unified wutang campaign come about inclusive of all members. I the Rza will raise the flag when the time is right, and that's when all minds and will submit to one.

U godzilla has a distorted memory of the wu and his involvement. And for him to state that I dealt with seperation is blasphemous, for it was my focus on unity that made us strong and successful. I don't deal with seperation nor unrighteousness amongst my peers or my enemies. I deal with freedom justice and equality. Our life is a reflection of our own acts and deeds, who can a man blame besides himself for his personal mishap. Unless someone directly or indirectly inflict their will on you. The blame lies on self. Especially when you come in the name of god as in u god. I don't usally like commenting on family affairs because I believe it should remain internal. Yet due to the recent slander of my name by godzilla and cappa its only right that I clear away some of the fog of confusion and falsehood that they are advocating.

If we reflect back on history I recall ugod only having 4 bars on protect ya neck. He then had to serve some time incarcerated. Many people felt he should be cut from the team but I being the final voice insisted he remain. In the interim of that single to the release of the first album many homies, family members and fans felt ugod was a weak link, I was constantly being approach by people advocating this but I laughed it off because I had faith in him and love for him. I recall his skill level being far behind the other members because jail makes you stiff and less fluent. Just as it was when o d b first came home. Still I kept him in the rankings and made sure he ate a equal amount that the rest enjoyed even though he was barely present on the early product. So when he claims that he was pushed to the side or made a slave he is only frabricating lies and using a bias distorted form of our history.

The members who had solo projects had them because they were the ones who the public and the industry was feeling at the time. The deals were being offered for the more prominent members. Yet I informed u god that when the time comes he will get his shine just as everyone else because everyone gets their time to shine, but one must patient as well as persistent and determined. 50 cent is a prime example. As time went on he regained his flow and began to shine a little brighter but he also devlope an what some have called a grumpy attitude and that made him hard to deal with in some eyes. No one would offer him a recording deal. It wasn't until I put the money up my self from wutang records did he get a chance for a solo album. And my company spent well over 1 and half mil on him in advances and videos and promo. With more than half that going is his pocket. In fact his unrecoupement crippled my label. So where is the slavery at. Look at songs like chez chez la ghost and grav!
el pit those were attempts to put him out there more and build his shine. After that if he was ordained to have more success it wouldve shown thru.

I can write a book of truth on the ins and out of the wu family and people will truthfully see who head got lost in music. I have not built an illusionary ego from this music game. I travell around the world breaking bread with most famous artist to the basic homeless mc. And treat everyone with the respect they deserve.
If anyone has any questions, hit me up on the site www.wutangcorp.com.

And as far as the aftermath union.
The Rza and Dr dre. Both agree its a great idea creatively and historically and are now working out the business aspect. The idea originated with o d b and later brought to the table by the recording industry giant Jimmy Iovine.

This is my response to ugods statements. There is much more I can say but I rather say it in person to ugod and any other challenger of truth to what I manifested into this world of hip hop. You can forward this to mtv as well.

Def Jux News

I've been told by some very reputable sources that Def Jux will be announcing the signing of a big underground artist at their Irving Plaza show in March. My source would not confirm or deny my guess, but let's just say it's a pretty obvious move for him, being that he just left another label. Again, it's all speculation as to who it is at this point, but if you are keeping up on stuff, you can easily put the pieces together - but that doesn't mean you are correct.

In other, unreleated, Def Jux news, El-P has produced an entire album for a group called "Central Services". Apparently, this is a super-group of already established artists, but I wasn't able to get the official line-up out of who is exactly in the group. Here is what my source told me: 1) several major labels are looking to sign the group 2) one person in the group, besides El-P, is known 3) it's not a hip-hop album and 4) the mystery collaborator "will come as a shock".

In other news, be sure to pre-order Definitive Jux Presents III and El-P's High Water jazz collborative project, both shipping next week, as we are running special offers on both.

Hiero News

While we are all enjoying the recent compendium of b-sides and remixes The Best Of Del: The Elektra Years CD, answering a question we posed a few weeks ago, Del is working on a new LP, The 11th Hour. Casual is also working on a new LP entitled Smash Rockwell, which may see him getting down with J-Zone on a track. In other Hiero news, the next single from Full Circle will be "Make Your Move", including an all new 9th Wonder remix. Meanwhile, both Tajai and Opio have solo projects in the works, and the crew also has a DVD and live CD scheduled as well. Finally, make sure you are not sleeping on offshoot Hiero releases from Z-Man (Dope Or Dogfood) and Encore (Layover).

Well it seems that rumors of Crooked I's departure from Death Row Records are now no longer merely rumors. As of early this morning (Pacific time) a new official site for Crooked I has opened. No, it is not thabadguy.com re-opening, but the official website of his new label Dynasty Records.

The new label is the final proof that Crooked I is no longer a participating recording artist for Death Row. At this time the contractual situation reguarding his release isn't known, but we at WWC will bring you more on that as it comes in.

word on the streets is Dirt Mcgirt aka ODB is leaving The Roc and is now in negotiations with Ted Lucas’s imprint Slip-N-Slide Records.
The deal would go thru Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic Records. Dirt would join Trick Daddy, Trina, Duece Poppi and new Dancehallartist Don Yute. More to come on this!

Last Wednesday, AllHipHop.com reported that Bizzy Bone, from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, had signed a record deal with boyband B2K's record label, Super Fam Records.

we contacted Paul Ring, CEO of Bungalo Records. He declined this information and says that Bizzy Bone is still signed with Bungalo and has never even been in talks with Super Fam Records. Below is a statement released by Bungalo:

Bungalo Records, which is exclusively distributed by Universal Music and Video Distribution, is looking forward to a June 2004 release of Bizzy Bone's first solo album in three years. The first single is titled "I Would Die For You" and we will be going to radio with it in about five weeks. Paul Ring, CEO of Bungalo Records said that he and Bizzy were laughing about the propertied signing of a deal with B2K.

jean grae - you don't know

Versteh den ganzen Hype um ihn nicht..ist wohl aber jetzt offiziell

Crooked I has left Death Row Records as we reported months ago and he has now started his own independent record label, Dynasty Records.

Now that he's off Tha Row, expect Crooked's debut album, Say Hi To The Bad Guy, to be released later this year along with his group project the U-Gang.
