CUNNINLYNGUISTS READY 'SLOPPY SECONDS VOL.2'

Deacon and Kno have a very busy year ahead of them in QthousaN5.

As a prelude to CunninLynguists' new LP A Piece Of Strange, CL is looking to release Sloppy Seconds Volume 2 in late April. The follow up to the limited-edition first volume will be mixed by DJ JS-1 of Rocksteady Crew.

Sloppy Seconds 2 will feature all new tracks, remixes and all original production by Kno and Deacon The Villain. Features include Cashmere The PRO, Chapter 13, Celph Titled, Kynfolk, Mr. SOS, Ness Lee, QN5 Allstars, Oktober and others.

It will be released on La Underground Records (OneManArmy's 'Fetus' and the re-release of Binary Star's 'Masters Of The Universe'). Be sure to keep a few dollars in your wallet to pick this one up when it drops if you don't want to get caught slipping, like you did if you missed Volume 1.

The CD will also feature exclusive preview tracks from the forthcoming A Piece of Strange LP and 'Knomercy - The Difference Vol. 2'.

PackFM is currently busy finishing up his official debut album, WhutduzFMstand4? for QN5 Music, but he's still found the time show the DJs some love by releasing his ridiculous rowdy anthem, "Stomp" b/w "Complex Simplicity (f/ Many Styles & Last Emperor)".

The new 12" single drops April 5, 2005 via Caroline Distribution, and is now available for preorder in the QN5 Store.


Not content with 'just another' single, PackFM enlisted the help of director Kareem Edouard of WGH Films to shoot the video for "Stomp". The video will be released to all media outlets sometime in April after the single drops and will be included on the album's ECD. There is also a special "suprise" in the works that will hopefully be ready when the video is released. We'll keep you posted on that as well.

Hip-hop mogul Dame Dash is preparing the first two releases for his newly formed Damon Dash Music Group. Beanie Sigel and Ol’ Dirty Bastard will lead off Dash’s post Roc-A-Fella venture with The B. Coming and A Son: Unique. Sigel’s third album will include guest appearances from Peedi Crakk, Redman, and Bun B. The Neptunes-produced single “Don’t Stop,” featuring Snoop Dogg has recently hit the airwaves. ODB’s Dash-headed project will finally be released April 12. The late Wu-Tang member’s album features clan brethren Raekwon, Method Man, and Ghostface, as well as several appearances by Macy Gray.

Rapper Canibus is preparing to release two albums, one, titled Mind Control for Gladiator Records, the other, named the final touches on a new album, titled Mind Control.

The album will showcase what has been dubbed a new sound that reflects Canibus' new attitude, based on his extensive travels throughout the Middle East, while serving time in the U.S. Army.

The rapper will address why he joined the military and what horrors of war he witnessed as a result of joining the United States army, after the September 11th terror attacks on World Trade Center and the Pentagon in the United States.

Mind Control features one guest appearance from longtime Hip-Hop associate Kurupt.

The first single is named after the title of the album and is starting to generate a buzz.

The entire album was produced by veteran producer Mark Sparks, who has crafted records for Carl Thomas, Anthony Hamilton, Sunshine Anderson and many

Mind Control is slated to hit stores in this summer on the Gladiator Records label.

In related news, Babygrande.com also announced that Canibus and Mic Club Music will drop an album in May, titled Hip-Hop for Sale.

Like Mind Control, the Hip-Hop for Sale album features the exclusive services of one producer, this time Virginia native Nottz.

“Canibus is one of the greatest MC's in hip-hop history and he'll always have a home at Babygrande. It is an honor to be able to make another record with him. I've been a fan of Nottz production since we worked together on the "Training Day" soundtrack back when I was A&R at Priority. Canibus and Nottz have made an incredible record together," says Babygrande CEO Chuck Wilson.

Hip-Hop for Sale will hit the streets on May 10th.

Killa Sin (Killarmy) wird möglicherweise in nächster Zeit (coming soon ) sein Solo-Debut veröffentlichen, erste Hinweise darauf finden sich auf seiner neuen Webseite www.killasin.com . Da er erst demnächst aus dem Knast kommt, dürfte das aber vor Anfang nächsten Jahres nix werden.

Neues auch von Buddha Monk. Nachdem er über chambermusic erst kürzlich zwei überarbeitete Versionen seines Prophecy Albums veröffentlicht hat, wird wohl bald auch seine neue Homepage www.lordbuddhamonk.com mit Inhalt online gehen. Ein neues Album ist dann wohl auch in Planung...

ODB's neues Album "A Son Unique" wird wohl schon am 19.04.2005 veröffentlicht. Das Cover sieht wohl so aus:

Auch Hell Razah's veröffentlichungswahn reisst nicht ab. Nach Informationen seiner neuen Webseite www.hell-razah.com wird Ende des Jahres ein neues Solo-Album erscheinen, zuvor wird er wohl weiter den Mixtape-Markt überschwemmen:

Busta Rhymes is planning a pair of rap returns – his own and that of rapper Raekwon. The Flipmode leader said he has jumped on to executive produce the Wu Tang Clan member’s upcoming album, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx Part Two.

“As of right now [I’m doing it], absolutely,” he told AllHipHop.com. “We always had a great relationship creatively. It just got to a point where Rae wanted to reach outside of the Wu family to mesh and vibe with other Hip-Hop n***as that he respects. And with the Rza’s blessing, I was able to contribute what I thought would be great for Rae. I’m a big Rae fan. The Cuban Linx album is one of the best albums put together ever.” The pair collaborated on Busta’s Anarchy LP on a song called “The Heist.”

As a sequel to Rae’s 1995 classic Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, he said that it is imperative that the Wu founder has a role in the opus.

“I didn’t want to be involved with it without Rza’s blessing, because it can’t happen with our Rza’s involvement. All I’m trying to do is reestablish that sound [from Only Built 4 Cuban Linx].”

Busta said that, through the course of putting his own album together, he’s been offered tracks that were more conducive to Raekwon’s style and he passed them along.

In the meantime, he said Rae’s classics have kept him motivated in a Hip-Hip era that’s not reflective of his past. “I keep certain classics around me for inspiration when I feel I ain’t getting it from what n***as are putting out right now.”

The Long Island representative is also prepping his own album called The Big Bang, his debut on Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Records and he said that the organization is where his creative heart lies.

“None of the labels that I’ve been on prior to Aftermath have been able to nourish or support the music that I’m able to make now,” Busta said.

Finally, he revealed that he would be party to Dr. Dre’s anticipated album, Detox. None of the three albums have a firm release date.

MF Doom gönnt uns keine Ruhe. Gerade ist das Live Album draußen, da gibt es schon Gerüchte über ein neues King Geedorah Album. "Headquarters of the Enemy" soll noch dieses Jahr über die Plattenschmiede von Rhymesayers veröffentlicht werden, das Label also, dass auch schon das MM Food Album Anfang November letzten Jahres auf den Markt geschmissen hat. Das neue King Geedorah Album wird wohl ausschließlich von Doom höchstpersönlich produziert werden. Auch der Re-Release des Operation Doomsday Albums über Rhymesayers wird dieses Jahr wohl noch folgen...

Army Of The Pharaohs member, Reef The Lost Cauze, is featured in Allhiphop.com’s “Breeding Ground” section this month. If you haven’t heard Reef, make sure you take the time to check out the audio snippets. Reef is busy recording his solo debut and blessing tracks for the Army Of The Pharaohs project as well as the upcoming release of Chief Kamachi’s brainchild, JuJu Mob.
