Bio
Born in Los Angeles, CA, and raised in the rough streets of Compton, emerges Tri Star, arguably the West Coast’s most versatile rapper in the underground scene. At a young age, surviving in the hard knock streets of Compton, Tri Star found himself in trouble often. Confined to a small room, with only a radio to befriend, he fell in love with hip-hop music and the seed was planted. His love for the art eventually grew and transcended into a talent for rapping.
In 1995 he founded a group called The Anterazh, consisting of three artists: himself, Young Tone and Slo. Since then, Tri Star has collaborated with several heavy-hitters like Kurupt, Sir Jinx, Jayo Felony, Rodney O, and Daz Dillinger to name a few. He has also has appeared on several heavily distributed mixtapes such as “Cali Untouchables” and Kurupt’s “War Vol. 1” with DJ Strong, the “Damizza Mixtape” with Damion Young & Baby Ree Entertainment, and “Belly of the Beast” with multi-platinum, west coast producer Sir Jinx.
Tri Star is currently putting out a solo album with Sir Jinx, with features from Kurupt, Roscoe, Brother J of X-Clan, with production handled from the multi-platinum Ice Cube & Xzibit producer Sir Jinx. Check out the video below:
