The RZA produced song 'State Of Grace' by Raekwon off the Cuban Linx II album has been leaked to a variety of DJ's across the US continent and has aired for the first time on Hot97 breaking the long Wu-Tang ban by the radiostation since 1997...

The album is still in the works and is promised by RZA to be a real classic: 'A few other niggaz got beats on there, but it's mostly me. We going back to the old times on this one, so I don't wanna talk about who else is producing cause we might end up cutting everybody off. There's no word on the tracklisting so far. As far as guest appearances I'm not saying either, but you better believe Rae is on fire!.'

The Dr.Dre produced '400 Grams' is also not sure about a spot on the highly anticipated Cuban Linx II.

In movie news, 'Derailed' came in number 3 at box office leaving 50 Cent's movie 'Get Rich or Die Trying' one spot behind at number 4. RZA however says he enjoyed 50 Cent's movie alot and gained even more respect for him because he related much to the poverty displayed in the movie.

:D It's been a while since he took you to Gangsta's Paradise, but the return of a gangsta was inevitable, as Coolio is set to drop his new album, Return of a Gangsta, this upcoming new year! Coolio has called upon some of the top names on the west coast, featuring such artists as Snoop Dogg, and Battlecat for his smooth production on this album. But Coolio is not just looking to work with the names we all know, in fact he thinks one of the reasons the west isn't where it should be right now is due to the lack of new artists and producers being supported. For this reason, Coolio will be working with new producers, two specific ones in particular, but that will be talked about in detail later on. The rap game is not the only game Coolio is limiting himself to. You can catch Coolio on the big screen real soon, as he's starring in a new movie, Stop The Wedding, co-starring with the infamous Charlie Murphy as welll as Peter Falk.

He's also working on some original programming. Move over Emeril, cause gangstas can get down in the kitchen too! Coolio is currently working on an original new cooking show: Coolio's Cafe: Ghetto Gourmet. He's shopping it to various TV stations, HBO and Comedy Central to name a few.

Rapper DMX was slapped with an extra 10 days behind bars today (Nov. 18) by a Queens, N.Y., judge who said he hadn't shown respect for the court. DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, apologized profusely to Criminal Court Judge Dorothy Chin-Brandt before she handed down her sentence. Yesterday, when Simmons appeared almost three hours late for sentencing, she had issued a bench warrant for his arrest and threatened to impose a one-year term...

Once Chin-Brandt imposed the new sentence -- a total of 70 days in jail -- Simmons, who arrived in court with his hands cuffed behind his back after spending the night in jail -- was immediately taken to Rikers Island. With good behavior, the jail term could be reduced to 46 days, leaving the 34-year-old behind bars for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Prosecutor Gerard Brave argued in favor of additional jail time for Simmons, saying the rap star "continues to show disregard for the court. He continues to put his own interests and his career ahead of the court."

Simmons told the judge that he was late yesterday due to an asthma attack, and produced a doctor's note verifying his illness. He made an appeal for the original lesser sentence. "I'm still a person with kids at home and a wife," he said. "...I am sorry. I was sick. I apologize."

"I'm not happy with the 10 days, but it's better than a year," said Simmons' attorney, Murray Richman.

The Mount Kisco resident had faced a 60-day term and a $1,000 fine after pleading guilty last month to violating the conditions of his release following a June 2004 incident at Kennedy International Airport. Simmons, after claiming he was a federal agent, smashed his SUV into a parking lot gate to apparently avoid paying the $9 parking charge.

Under his December 2004 conditional release, Simmons was required to stay out of trouble for a year, but he was twice cited for traffic violations, including a 104 mph speeding ticket and an accident with an unmarked police car.

After being absent last week at New York's Hot 97 studios while partners in rhyme Jadakiss and Styles P squared off with Diddy over the airwaves, Sheek Louch spoke exclusively to SOHH.com about the situation with his former Bad Boy boss, how 50 Cent is putting up roadblocks at Interscope and why he's seeing more money "after taxes" than most artists...

"What the public sees is that one day on the radio," Sheek explained. "We'll see Puff but he'll tell you straight up 'deal with my lawyer.' This has been going on for a while. We did one album with Diddy, he still holding on to our publishing and we feel that [Diddy] should let it go by now. It's been ten years!"

Refuting Diddy's later claim that he only owns 20 percent as opposed to the 50 percent that The Lox claim, Sheek broke down the situation as being more of a matter of principle.

"No that's totally wrong. When we brought up paper work to him when he was up at the station the other night, he didn't care to address none of that. It would have been greater if we were both there," he tells SOHH.com. He definitely has way more publishing than that and at the end of the day, even if he has 3 percent, we feel like, 'Yo, Diddy it's over; ten years have passed dog.' There's no reason to hold on to none of it. They paid $3 million to get us off, we sold platinum for you, damn, you good!"

Sheek also addressed The Lox refusing to put out another album under the Jimmy Iovine-headed Interscope Records. And while the move may leave fans without an official Lox project for a while, the Yonkers, NY MC explained that it was strictly a business move and that the trio would continue to put out material elsewhere.

"The whole thing is, we were not trying to get off Interscope, we were gonna be under the same umbrella and go with Jay[-Z], which Jimmy Iovine was cool with," Sheek explained to SOHH.com."But a lot of things were put in the way. Not to put everything on him, but ya boy 50 over there trying to stop Styles' project, and 'don't play this record,' etc. He couldn't get at us lyrically so he had to go other routes and it's not a fair fight over here. So we said we're gonna focus on everything we got coming from D-Block and [wait] until they get it together and are ready to talk real shit."

Sheek is also looking to continue moving his career forward, which includes promoting his newly released, Koch distributed album After Taxes, the follow-up project to 2003's Walk With Me. And for those who think this is an opportunity to air out all of his lyrical beefs on 16 tracks, he has another thing coming.

"It ain't a lot of money in beefing. I got the #1 independent record in the country right now. I sold 40,000 records in 7 days. That's $8 off of every record. That's the reason I went indie. I'm not trying to see 33 cents off every record."

With top notch production and a guest list that includes hip hop heavyweights like Beanie Sigel, Ghostface Killah, and T.I. as well as his D-Block brethren, Sheek is planning on taking his career to the next plateau.

Sheek Louch's After Taxes is in stores now.

The trial of Irv and Chris “Gotti” Lorenzo on federal money laundering charges continued yesterday (Nov. 21) opening with Judge Edward Korman hearing evidence about 50 Cent’s May 2000 shooting.

Prosecutors argued in closed chambers that the May 2000 shooting is related to The Inc.’s money laundering trial, because it was ordered by Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff as the brothers allegedly laundered the convicted cocaine dealer’s drug proceeds.

They also claim to have a message from one of The Inc.’s pagers, claiming a message was sent shortly after 50 Cent was shot in May 2000 saying “f**k half a dollar, me and my ni**as kill for fun.”

Assistant U.S. Attorney Sean Haran said that on the day 50 Cent was shot, Irv sent a flurry of messages, allegedly within 30 minutes of the shooting, asking how many times the rapper had been shot and if he had been killed.

Former McGriff associate Jon Ragin testified yesterday as well, claiming that McGriff, alleged triggerman Robert “Son” Lyons and Chauncey “God B.” Milliner met in a Brooklyn garage immediately after the May 2000 attack.

"Supreme said, 'I got him,'" Ragin told Assistant U.S. Attorney Carolyn Pokorny. "I didn't know who it was he got and Supreme explained he got 50 Cent. He thought 50 Cent was dead. He got shot so many times at close range and there was so much blood."

Ragin even claimed that Lyons wiped gun powder residue off of his hands with rubbing alcohol after the shooting.

Ragin was a McGriff associate and partner in a business Picture Perfect, which produced the DVD film “Crime Partners,” which the government claims was a fake company designed to launder McGriff’s drug proceeds.

Ragin is facing up to 108 months in prison and is cooperating with the government for a lesser sentence in a massive credit card fraud ring. Ragin is also in the witness protection program.

Ragin had prior drug convictions and is with running a multi-million dollar credit card scam through a phony tuxedo rental business.

Attorney’s for The Inc. are attempting to prevent the jurors from hearing evidence related to 50 Cent’s shooting, claiming it has nothing to do with money laundering charges.

"With the introduction of contradictory evidence…the trial will be overwhelmed by an irrelevant sideshow about who shot 50 Cent," the Lorenzo’s attorney Gerald Lefcourt said in court filings.

Lefcourt and Gerald Shargel have countered the government’s claims that McGriff ordered the shooting, alleging that the original gunman was Darryl “Hommo” Baum.

At one point, an aggravated Shargel could be heard yelling from the judge’s chambers: “Hommo [Baum] did it, Hommo did it, Hommo did it. Even 50 Cent says it!”

Lefcourt and Shargel portrayed Ragin as a habitual liar who was involved in prostitution, money laundering and other schemes.

The defense also introduced 50 Cent’s lyrics to “Many Men,” interviews conducted by 50 Cent in which he named Baum as his shooter and Ethan Brown’s investigative book, Queens Reigns Supreme, which hits stores today.

Prosecutors contend that it was safer for 50 Cent to attribute his shooting to a dead man, because the alleged triggerman, [Lyons], was still alive.

The jury has not been allowed to hear any of this yet, as none of it has been entered into evidence.

Actual testimony in front of jurors relating to The Inc.’s federal money laundering trial only lasted about two hours.

Around noon, Judge Edward Korman called recess to attend a funeral.
,
When testimony resumed in front of jurors, New York Police Department detective Anthony Castiglia testified on behalf of the prosecution, attempting to prove that large sums of money could fit into shoe boxes to be laundered.

Last week, defense attorney’s accused prosecution witness Donnell Nichols of lying because $70,000 in $5 and $10 dollar bills could not in a shoe box.

Castiglia said he successfully stuffed over $7,000 in $1 dollar bills into an Adidas shoebox, attempting to prove that large sums of money could have been laundered in this fashion.

The defense countered, saying no one knew the actual size of the boxes and therefore an accurate dollar estimate could not be determined.

The prosecution did note that the defendants were more likely to wear sneakers and Timberland boots, as opposed to dress shoes.

New York-based hip-hop label Definitive Jux has acquired the masters of Company Flow's 1997 album "Funcrusher Plus," originally released on Rawkus. With its minimalist atmosopherics and left-wing politics, the group -- founded by producer El-P, Bigg Jus and DJ Mr. Len -- is considered one of the more defining acts for underground hip-hop.

Def Jux is in the process of readying a 10th anniversary reissue of "Funcrusher," complete with a bonus DVD of Company Flow's final show. If all goes as planned, the album should be out by the end of 2006, but Def Jux COO Ameachi Uziogwe tells Billboard.com the act may record some new material for the release, making early 2007 may a more likely target date.

First expected in November and then bumped to Dec. 13, the Neptunes' Pharrell Williams' highly anticipated solo debut, "In My Mind," is now being targeted for release in February via Star Trak/Interscope. No reason was given for the date change...

First single "Can I Have It Like That" featuring Gwen Stefani is No. 20 this week on Billboard's Hot Rap Tracks chart and No. 49 on the Hot 100. As previously reported, Williams and Stefani will perform "Can I Have It Like That" tonight (Nov. 22) at the American Music Awards, which will be broadcast live on ABC. The label has just sent a second single, "Angel," to U.S. radio outlets.

"In My Mind" is expected to be split between seven hip-hop tracks and seven others with a more R&B flavor. Guests include Jay-Z, Daddy Yankee and Star Trak artists Slim Thug and Vanessa Marquez.

The album's push from the fourth quarter release schedule echoes the same fate as OutKast's highly anticipated "Idlewild," which was recently bumped from Dec. 13 to an undetermined 2006 date.
