Zagg (2008)
How does cour current label situation look like?
I’m signed to a label with an owner who is locked up, possibly looking at life . I think he breached the contract. So really, I have no label.
What made you leave Siccmade Muzicc?
I was moving at a different pace than them. And with the break-up of me and Brotha Lynch, I just felt it was easiest on both of us as well.
How’s your actual relation to Lynch?
I’m still legally married to Lynch although the divorce is close to final. We are still very close as friends. We talk about everything and we will always be friends.
Your third solo album … what will the title be and what’s the state of the recording process?
The title of the third album is “Aggrivat’d” and it’s very close to being done. A few more inserts, waiting on a couple of features to come back and it will be ready for mixing.
Who will be featured?
We’re looking at 40 Glocc taking Lynch’s place on this album because of me and Lynch’s roccy relationship. I wasn’t able to get Lynch to finish his part in time. We got Doggy’s Angels own, Coniyak. We got COS, I’m lookin’ at still geting Tech N9ne, just to name a few. D-Dubb, Malaiki, my selected few features, you know.
Do you see yourself in the music game in the long run? Have you ever tought about retiring from business?
I will always be involved in music as it is such a big part of my life and my soul. I never really worked the business aspect so I won’t be retiring from it. But maybe in the future with music, I just need to reach the top before I make my journey down.
Which one of your songs has the most meaning to you?
The song “Now Or Never” – it was when I just left Lynch and signed with Hot One Records. But I felt so free. And I was so moved. I felt like I was on top of the world, like I just been let out of jail after 15 years. It felt so good and I’ll remember that feeling through that song forever.
I think your music sparks something off in the head of your listeners – could you describe in your own words what you want it to be?
Everyday life that most people don’t realize that we all have. Certain subjects and just the blunt way I put shit sometimes, I guess, make people think of the familiar settings they have, too.
All in all you appear only sporadic – could you give a short overview of the records you’ve been featured on in the last few months?
A few different fan’s albums, which im unaware of the titles to right now. Ive just been mainly tightening up my album right now tho. I spent a lil time in jail, a month and a half on some bullshit, and fell back from that a little bit.
You also did a verse on Twisted Insane’s second album – how did you get in contact with him? The collabo was dope…
Hm. He hit me up on Myspace I think. I get alot of verse collabs from there. Thank you for the props on that. I kinda don’t remember it , but I always try to give my fans the best.
What will be the first thing you do after anwering all these questions?
Go to Tallcan’s house and get a bag from him, hit the liquor store and get a grape swishee and roll that mufucca!! *laughs*
